He promptly served us our coffee and hot tea. Our Beautiful waitress Shannon arrived right away and took our order. Hubby ordered the 14 oz Ham steak and eggs, I ordered the 8 oz steak and eggs. Burt and Shannon were checking on us repeatedly to see if we needed refills or anything at all. Total Thank you to the chefs, Ruben and Jo for the Delicious food. I also noticed there's a full bar off to the right, and it was pretty packed We were seated on the restaurant side and attended to right away. The menu was extensive, but I came for breakfast, so I went straight to that section and found the pork chop and eggs plate. It came with a choice of potatoes, and I chose the homemade fried potatoes. They weren't listed as an option on the menu, but our waitress was great about it and happy to get them for me for a small upcharge. The plate came with two eggs, and I was also able to choose a pancake on the side. There was also a choice of biscuits and gravy or toast. The portions were generous enough that I was able to share my meal with another person. And all of this was under $20! The pork chops were a great size, and I absolutely loved the way they were cooked. They were super crispy on the outside while still being tender and juicy on the inside, not dry at all. The pancake was another highlight. It was big, fluffy, and had that delicious homemade taste. We also ordered chips and guacamole, and I really enjoyed their chips. They were thick tortilla chips, super fresh and crunchy, and had just the right amount of salt. The guacamole was chunky and delicious. Everyone else in our group enjoyed their meals as well. I'm not sure if Benny's is a family-owned-operated business, but it felt that way. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Even the young kid who helped us toward the end was incredibly friendly and on top of everything, I noticed him at the front making sure the coffee was fresh, and he was such a hard worker.
