This is one the best Dennys in the GTA This Denny has the best awesome food and an above and beyond service We were here on Sunday the 14 th of March 2021 after the lunch hour Ordered All American slam breakfast with a club sandwich The American slam was excellent cheese, egg scramble with sausage and bacon Trust me was the best eggs though not an omelette was actually awesome and fluffy with loads of cheese on it The American slam came with the best hash browns and toast Every bite was to die for Whenever a trip to London this is a must have Better than all of Dennys in GTA The service was too good too very polite, warm and gracious Though the food took long to come probably because of the club sandwich it was really worth waiting for The sandwich was excellent too Not to miss the super awesome coffee with refills as all Denny's This Denny is a strong strong recommendation definitely if in London Kitchener or Waterloo

I came here late at night, was hungry, so I ordered NY steak with mash and corn, was pretty good. I also ordered blueberry pancake/ banana , was delicious. All cost around $40. It's attached to Flying J market place for truckers, love seeing all trucker gears and gadgets, so many cool guy tech stuff. Also the market place sells slice fresh pizza's. I would say it's ok to stop here from a long day travelling and take a break. The waitress was very nice and friendly. I wish we had Waffle House everywhere along the highways like the U.S or Bob Evans

I had lunch today at Denny's in London. It's attached to a rest stop on Highbury Avenue S, just south of the 401. I ordered Baked Lasagna. I love lasagna and this was just okay. The noodles were overcooked and there was too much sauce. I felt like something sweet so ordered a Caramel Apple Pie Crisp. It was definitely sweet and did the trick. Rabiah was my server. She was friendly and took good care of me.

Ordered the build your own grand slam: egg whites, hash brown with green peppers and onions or as Sonja recalled it to us as fajitas with the hashbrowns, gf English muffin (that's a first) and oatmeal. My husband got the grand slam: double egg whites, hash browns extra crispy and 9 grain pancakes. The bathrooms are the common ones used for the gas station and they aren't the usual nastiness I would expect out of gas station. Each stall has tiles up the walls and floor. The oatmeal with some brown sugar and maple syrup is as good as home. The hash browns with the fajita was good and crispy, the gf English muffin was light, airy and fluffy. The 9 grain pancake was very grainy, nutty almost. My husband enjoyed his double egg whites and his hashbrowns. Sonja was extremely attentive and friendly. For my first time being at a Denny's and being s roadside spot it was actually a good spot. Tons of food options since they serve all day meals 24 hours a day. Good food spot for a meal on the road. It looks like they have some real maple syrup in a glass container, unlike the diners back at home.

We decided to try a different restaurant for our Sunday breakfast! There was 3 kids an 3 adults so we weren't quiet. But the loudness of the restaurant seemed fitting for it. It was decent food and great service. We always let the little kids order for themselves and the lady taking the order was awesome with them! The price was alright for the food. But this visit the only gripe was the skillet had less than a finger full of potatoes. And for the price it should've been a lot more. In the end I would recommend this place for a quick breakfast with family that will have a standard quality!! Thanks!

Let's all welcome probably the worst American breakfast chain known as Denny's to London. When I first noticed we had a Denny's about a week or so ago and thought I would give it a try because I heard it was good in the States? but boy was I ever wrong. When we walked in the restaurant itself looked pretty busy but we were seated right away, The server came pretty quick and took our drink orders, she was even very friendly! But there's where it starts to go downhill. No word of a lie the three of us waited an hour for our breakfast meals to come out to the table, Now they just opened about a week prior to our visit so I'm not sure if they were just working out the kinks or what but really an hour for breakfast!? And also when being seated nothing was mentioned to us about the hour wait time to be served. Anyways when the food finally arrived it was more shock n' awe. My chicken fried steak was clearly some pre-packaged piece of crap and definitely not freshly battered, tasted very similar to one of those TV dinners that some people call food. Not to mention the portions were ridiculously tiny, All three of us actually left hungry! Then the bill came, $15 each for breakfast!? Who are you kidding honestly. Avoid this place like the plague because it's most definitely not worth your time or money. My friend who ordered the skillet actually got sick from it as well! I will not be anywhere near another Denny's that's for sure.

Ate there March 31,2019 3 of us ... the eggs were not cooked so my husband left them ... my clubhouse and fries had only like 7 fries ..but my cousin loved the pot roast dinner ... the French toast was good .. $3.19 for a glass of ice cubes with a spoonful of Coke syrup wasn't worth it either ..but the service was fast

When you order tea you get a full pot! Gotta love canada!

The food was impeccable. Really delicious. Well cooked…read more But for 150 bucks per person, the person bringing out our meals shouldn't ask "who had this" every time they bring out a course. My entree should arrive with the side dish the menu claimed it came with. The server should know that it's supposed to come with those mushrooms, and not come up to me with the menu and ask me where it says it comes with mushrooms. I shouldn't have my food taken away to "keep it heated" while waiting for the side dish, and while my dinner companion gets her plate. I shouldn't have to flag down a waiter for water refills. This is fake fine dining. The prices are real fine dining, but the service and experience are sloppy casual. Very embarrassing for a Valentine's Day menu with extremely limited options to cause so many problems. Again: the food was great. No problems with the food. But train the staff if you want to charge me 150 bucks for a fine dining experience.

Burrata salad: Generous serving of creamy Burrata cheese with crispy pork belly bits and an amazing pesto sauce. Crab cakes: Crispy, well-seasoned crab cakes with fried goat cheese and greens. Tasty. Prawn tagliatelle: Delicious pasta with juicy prawns and a super rich cream sauce. Beef cheek: Melt in your mouth meat, generous portion. Chocolate semifreddo: Mmmm, rich slice of chocolate heaven that is a cross between ice cream and cake. Mini dessert trio: The raspberry tart was... tart... and yummy. The chocolate cream eclair was bursting with cream and delicious. I was not impressed with the mini lemon poppyseed muffin, which had a mushy texture and no lemon flavour. Overall, the meal was delicious down to the fresh bread and salted butter. Highly recommend!

Recently this place was featured on Beard Meats Food, a YouTubing professional eater who travels…read morethe globe taking part in eating challenges at local restaurants. As we were planning to be in London (Ontario) anyhow we decided to stop in mainly out of curiosity. First and foremost this is a bar....the local 'watering hole'. Interior is a cross between dive bar and diner. In the early afternoon the bar was full of locals enjoying a beer. The menu is full of typical bar food, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fish and chips, ribs etc. Hot dogs are the main event here with dozens of choices from the standard chili to ones topped with cereal and drizzled with maple syrup. Dogs are about the same size as a Costco dog but we did see a couple of locals order a foot long. They have a daily special and on Tuesday it's $2.00 tacos (choice of classic or pulled pork) or a slight up charge for the other choices (steak or chicken). Tacos come in soft or hard. What was ordered: 1 pulled pork taco and 1 classic taco 1 chili dog BBQ chicken quesadilla 1 poutine There are no combos. When you order a hot dog that is what you get. A hot dog. A side of fries or onion rings is extra. The verdict...it was okay. For food that is not complicated to make, our order took almost 30 minutes to arrive and it wasn't busy with food orders. When we ordered the $2.00 tacos we were told we also needed to order a drink to get the special. This is not printed on the ad. The quesadilla and chili dog were unremarkable. Poutine even more so. Service was good though. There was one server who also manned the bar. She seemed to know most of the locals and was very friendly.

Music was perfect for a nice quiet lunch, a mix of older rock and country played at a volume that didn't drown out conversation. I had a hot dog with coleslaw and it was delicious. Fries were nothing special, likely from frozen. I would likely try a different side next time. Service was a touch slow, but the waitress was apologetic because they were changing over the soda, so that really can't be avoided. All in all I enjoyed it and would definitely eat here again.

I had lunch today at Swiss Chalet…read more It was near my client's site, there wasn't much else around and I like chicken. I had only had an apple for breakfast and was hungry so I ordered a half chicken dinner with mashed potatoes. The chicken was really good as was the roll and dipping sauce. The potatoes were a bit salty my taste but that must be the Swiss Chalet way. Serena was my server. She was really friendly and chatty and took excellent care of me.

Swiss Chalet is a long standing franchise chain in Canada only. Traditionally it served up…read morerotisserie chicken and ribs. But over the years their menu items have definitely expanded to include wraps and sandwiches, burgers, ribs, rotisserie beef, pastas, and even a stir fry! The latest offering is crispy chicken. True, the rotisserie chicken had crispy skin, but this is different, this is a breaded crispy chicken, to compete with the likes of Popeye's and Church's. The rotisserie beef is definitely a new concept to me, and not one I'm sure would work out. I will need to try it (most definitely), but in a future visit perhaps. For any Americans that read this, the food is similar to that of Boston Market; however, it's full service in a dining room setting. On the menu tonight was a half chicken dinner (crispy chicken) with fries, a kids meal ribs with corn, and a kids meal rotisserie chicken with mash potatoes. The kids meals come complete with drink and dessert, we selected Worms N'Dirt and a Caramel Sundae. As always, the service is super quick, with meals coming out shortly after being ordered. One notable is the lack of dipping sauce. The signature chicken sauce many have come to associate with Swiss Chalet. I asked our waitress for some as I thought she had forgotten it, but was informed that the sauce was no more! Fortunately they still carry the beef gravy (for the mash potatoes) and we got a couple of extra of those. She also brought out a chicken gravy (the kind that normally comes with open faced chicken sandwiches) for me to try. Rotisserie Chicken. Grant it, it has been a while since I visited Swiss Chalet, the chicken was not as good as I remembered it. I had the dark meat (leg/thigh) as I always do because it's not as dry. This time around, the skin was not as crispy and the chicken itself is not as salty (which is actually a good thing, because it used to be super salty). The chicken was still moist and tender, and the chicken gravy did complement it well, although the experience is more of one like a Thanksgiving dinner at home. Overall, I think their signature chicken still held it's own. 3 stars. Crispy Chicken. Again, I requested dark meat. This chicken was actually a success to me. The batter was full of crispy crunchy goodness. The meat inside steaming hot and juicy. Pretty good for new entry. 4 stars. Ribs. The kids meal came with 1/3 rack (4 bones) of side ribs. To me, there are three elements to ribs: The tenderness, the spices/flavours, and the sauce! These were moist, but not as tender as they could have been. I did not detect any marination or spices in the meat itself, and the sauce was tangy and sweet, but nothing special. 3 stars. Corn. This did not taste like your fresh frozen variety kind, rather the can kind. Either that or they way overcooked it. It also didn't come as hot as I would have liked as we had to add our own butter and salt, and when we did, it didn't melt and dissolve as I wanted it to. 2 stars. Fries. These are one of my favourites, and I'm not much of a potato guy. Harvey's (also reviewed) shares the same fries as Swiss Chalet since they're both part of Cara holdings, but Swiss Chalet is the original. Light and crisp on the outside and with potato that is soft on the inside. They definitely have these down pat. Couple this with the beef gravy and they're as good as it gets for me! 5 stars. Mac n Cheese. This was originally the side that was selected with the kids chicken meal, but when we tried it, my kids did not like it and left it untouched after one bite. The Manager noticed this when she made her rounds and offered us a substitute (koodo's for customer service) in which the mashed potatoes and gravy. I did not try this, but for what it's worth, my kids give it 2 stars. Worms N'Dirt. When this came, it did not disappoint! It literally looked as described. Chocolate pudding, gummy worms, and crushed oreos make up the dish, and when you mix it up, it looked exactly like what you'd get playing outside, I swear the worm were even moving! A fun name for a safe dessert. 3 stars. Sundae. This dish was no frills, vanilla ice cream with sauce on top. I wasn't expecting gourmet as it's a dessert for kids, so no disappointment here. 3 stars. Swiss Chalet also has a successful take out business as well although I don't normally use it. With travel time, the chicken skin becomes soggy because of the trapped in heat, same with the fries. If you're ok with soft skin, you're better off picking up a whole chicken from Costco at a much better price. Overall 3 stars. If you would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!
