I tried to have real coffee added to this over sweetened drink only to be told I would be charged for a coffee to add "real" coffee. Then the waitress comes out with an order that was clearly cancelled. She was told to come back to take the order. When she came back she was told that I was not ordering anything besides my "iced coffee". Somehow, brainlessly she put the order in anyway. I am so thrilled to say my boyfriend and I had someone seat us before we could even get to the front desk. The lady seating us asked if we liked where we were being seated or if we wanted to be seated somewhere else which I also really appreciated. Our waitress was very friendly as well. The prices of the food on the menu is great and you get a lot for your dollar. I was also really pleased to see a calorie list under all the food items. I have had some good steak in my time but the steak I had here today takes the cake. It was seriously the best steak I've ever had, better than outback even. (It was the Garlic Peppercorn Sirloin) The customer service was great, the food came out really fast and all of it was really well done. I can honestly say that reading all of the reviews for this place blows my mind. People overreact to things and then write bad reviews, making it seem like these places aren't worth going to. EXTREMELY RUDE male manager at this location. Very unprofessional and needs to learn a thing or two about customer service and how to speak to customers. Upon reading reviews for this establishment, apparently I'm NOT the only customer who has experienced the ASSHOLE of a manager who works here. Let me start this review out with saying that the waitress would not give me a crayon. I came to this restaurant because it was the only thing open. I could tell from the beginning that the waitress was not happy to be serving us. When we asked for refills in drinks she took 12 minutes to get them. It also took quite a while for our food to come out, so we got bored and wanted to entertain ourselves with a drawing game but the waitress would NOT give us a crayon BECAUSE we didn't have children under 12 with us. Which shocked me completely because I had no idea they put an age limit on crayons! (Maybe they should be a limit on moody waitresses in the food industry) ;) And at last when we got dessert Togo we made it VERY clear we wanted whip cream on the cake, only to find out halfway home that she didn't put any on. This Denny's is great! The service is always fast and a friendly, and the food is delicious. This particular Denny's is obviously managed very well. It's always crowded when my fiance and I go on weekend mornings, but we are seated quickly and efficiently. We drive to Denny's from Chantilly because the service is so much better than breakfast places closer to us. read more

Id like the corporate office to take a strong look at the management they are hiring. 1/29 2015..... I witnessed a man get yelled at by a manager on a.m. duty for bringing in a homeless man and feeding him. Disgraceful. The manager was rude and didnt want the homeless man in the restaraunt even though the other gentleman was paying for his food. I have eaten here regularly for over four years with my kids. The food is always served hot and the orders are always right. The staff is warm and friendly and the customers are treated great. Just went there for dinner tonight and were seated promptly as the restaurant was empty at that time. The server was nice. I ordered the new "hot and sizzling SRIRACHA BURGER" and when it came after 15 minutes, and I took a bite, it did not taste of sriracha at all. I asked my wife to taste it and she said the same thing. The waitress came to ask how the food was and I told her that I thought. She went inside to check and came back and said "they forgot to season the burger with sriracha". What a joke??? The new item on the menu which is described as hot and sizzling did not get seasoned with sriracha and is still called "sriracha burger"..lol...lol....lol.... Anyway, mistakes can happen and the cook might have forgotten but the server did not offer another one or anything (common practice in every other fast food location or restaurant). When I went to pay, the cashier lady asked how the food was and I told her the same story. She says "oh OK" lol...lol....lol . You forgot to add SRIRACHA in a SRIRACHA BURGER and all you can say is "Oh OK".......i will die laughing right now. Anyway, no apologies offered, no discounts given......I still tipped the waitress generously. As I was stepping out of the double doors, a voice inside me whispered "Never ever back to Denny's" Being a manager of a big workforce, I cater from Denny's a lot. Have been going there on/off for 10yrs, but today's visit has made it where we will never go again, nor recommend. Eggs cooked hard, yokes broken. Friends meal included a slice of french toast; which arrived AFTER she had finished her meal, and was cold and soggy. These items were returned, and no replacement was requested : "I do not want anything else from the kitchen". The waitress brought eggs, even after told 3xs, no. As we're checking out. We are told, 'that we no cook right for you, they afraid to cook for you, etc'. SERIOUSLY. ..learn to cook eggs and the difference between over easy, over med, hard cook, fried, scramble (soft, med, hard cooked), etc....or get out of the kitchen. I'm sure those working the front of the restaurant are tired of listening to customers complain on how their food is prepared. Hope they LISTEN to their customers. I just attempted to sit and have a descent breakfast. But after receiving the A-1 sauce for my steak, I began to pour and out comes this disqusting looking water substance that was definitely not A-1 sauce. So I politely asked for another steak because mine was ruined. Might I add that I did not touch the steak or food yet. My waiter Ryan took plate and never returned (rude). Out comes the manger Vilma Z who seemed to be of Spanish decent with light brown-blond hair mixed with grey. She was very rude. My husband and I have had our day off dates at this Denny's for breakfast on and off over the past 20 years. I can't say anything about any other time of day, but the morning staff is the most well run, customer friendly staff I have every encountered. This would include high end restaurants. The morning manager has been there for many years and is ALWAYS happy and friendly. It's become a family affair with sisters and brothers working equally well beside each other. They tag team to ensure phenomenal service. The food is consistently fresh, well prepared, and served in the quickest time ever. Never made to feel rushed although it is crowded most of the time. Denny's isn't a place I go to and expect to have some problems. A couple of friends and I decided to go for dinner, so we split the check. The food was good but one of my friends ordered his plate without mushrooms, and it came with mushrooms. When it came to paying, we had a problem. One of my friend's card broke, so all she can use is the card number and the expiration date. Every place that she's been to, they allow her to pay using that information. When she's at work, people have that same problem and they are allowed to type in that same information and it is acceptable. I think that issue is unacceptable and shouldn't happen. read more

AWFUL customer service provided by the older white male manager who unwilling wrote down "Bob C." as his full name. Every time I go to Denny's I have always gotten a garden salad with ranch dressing. When I received my salad, the dressing had an off putting odor and appeared extremely chunky. After explaining to the waitress what had happened, I asked her if she could just take it off the bill because I didn't want to chance the ranch being bad. When I received the bill only a partial amount of the salad was taken off. I asked the manager why he said he charged me a "stocking fee" and that it wasn't his fault I didn't like the dressing. He refused to take the correct amount off and forced me to wait until he had finished with every other guest before he would ring me up. Let me start off by saying I wish I didn't have to give any rating because this business deserves 0 stars . my experience was horrible. I bought pancake puppies and they were not done , the middle was very doughy and under cooked. I wasn't upset about that. I also bought quesadillas and I found hair in my food. I'm a server as well so I understand most the time it's not the servers fault. I was very polite at first , and told my server about my dish. She acted like she couldn't understand a word I was saying so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager NEVER came to the table , I waited 20 minutes for him. All in all I still had to pay for my whole meal even though I didn't eat it, they also locked the doors and threatened to call the police if I didn't pay. I visited this establishment last night and NEVER seen so much unprofessionalism and disrespect. It was immediate from the moment we came it but my significant other said to give them the benefit of the doubt since they were busy (kids eat free night). After waiting for 20mins we were seated and after another 10mins our waiter came. Since we had plenty of time to look at the menu we ordered our food and drinks at the same time. Once it was time for the food and drinks to be delivered to the table that is when all HELL broke lose!! The food was not what we ordered and once we brought it to her attention instead of her apologizing she became defensive. Even snatching the food out of my child's hand at one point. She returned back with food only for her to not bring my daughter's food. Once again she became rude. I immediately brought this to the manager on duty Al. He seemed uninterested in the fact that I was unpleased with Marissa's customer service. After waiting another 10mins and my daughter still not having her food I went up to the front area and brought it to his attention. I saw my daughter's food sitting on the line and asked to have it so I can give it to her even though it was still incorrect. Al told me that he would bring it over instead Marissa brought and it DROPPED it down in front of my daughter! That was it!! I then told Al that I did not want Marissa to come back to our table. But she did and began to antagonize me. Once I became visibly upset (words exchanged between us two) Al sent another waiter Kuleiaza to wait on our table. She apologized for Marissa's behavior and asked if we needed anything else. I told her my daughter's food was still wrong and then came Marissa with the missing food item even after she was told by her manager that she would not be the waiter for our table. She still had her nasty attitude and even winked and blew a kiss at me upon her departure. I asked for the general manager and was given a business card and then explained to Al that I NEVER SEEN SO MUCH TOLERATED DISRESPECT IN MY LIFE!! But of course he could have care less because he allowed such behavior to continue even after it was brought to his attention several times.
