By far one of the best experiences I've had with any hangry joes, and Kayla was nothing but helpful and brought a light to my night. Gave me great recommendations on bubble teas and fresh teas, gave me good insight into there corndogs, I'll definitely have to try them next time, I've been to several of there locations and by far this one and the on on route7 are un beat. I came out to try this restaurant based on a friends recommendation The Buffalo blues chicken sandwich was excellent. The chicken breast was moist and not overly breaded. They marinate and spice the chicken in the restaurant. It is never frozen. The chicken breast portion is very generous and hangs outside of the bun. This location doesn't participate in rewards, app, or online ordering other than via third party services like Uber Eats, GrubHub, or Door Dash. I ordered in store. It took a serious amount of time for the staff to prepare the order. The stars were nice. Apologetic. I didn't know why until I got my food 35 minutes after I ordered. I expected Korean fried chicken. This is not it. This was not good. The rice was under cooked. The chicken was overdone. The fries were terrible. The chicken strips I needed to sign a waiver to eat (yes, seriously) were the enjoyable because the inferno that ensued in my mouth erased the woefully nasty taste in from the other food. I love spicy but beware the waiver is necessary. I love garlic soy Korean fried chicken. This was not even remotely good. Nothing was good except for the vinegar slaw. The lobby was not clean but not overly dirty either. A good wipedown of the tables and a sweep of the floor would have gone a long way. My first time visiting the Hangry Joe's location in Manassas. I've previously experienced the Hangry Joe's locations in Centreville and Gainesville. This Hangry Joe's is located in the Bull Run Plaza retail complex. I ordered the chicken sandwich combo - "medium" spice level. It comes with a side of waffle fries, a dill pickle slice, and a Remoulade dipping sauce of sorts; and an order of chicken fingers - also the "medium" spice level - to go. The staff person warned me that "medium" is pretty spicy. I already knew this and was fine with it. Each order is made to order. Took a bit over 10 minutes for the food to come up. Meal hit the spot. Ordered via DoorDash this evening and food was ready pretty quickly! The chicken sando (Sandwich) is pretty big I probably could have done the jr. I'm not a huge fan of chicken breast sandwich's I prefer chicken thighs, however this chicken breast was so juicy and seasoned which made this a really enjoyable sandwich. The coleslaw and pickles add the crunch but also sweetness (coleslaw) to balance out the seasoning on the chicken and the sauce which tastes like a ketchup chipotle mayo concoction. I did the no heat chicken seasoning which was not spicy at all but thankful they did include that it could be because it persuaded me to stick to the no heat as a person who can't do heat. The waffles fries were soooo goood! Like a crunchier version of a Chick-fil-A fry, fire!! I was pleasantly surprised that everything was still hot when I got it so that was great! My partner got the chicken and waffles and they were delicious. The waffle definitely tasted like a funnel cake. He thought the chicken had a little heat but was the no heat seasoning. We were in town and found this place. I wish I read the description for lol because I didn't realize all of the chicken was spicy. I got tenders to share with my one year-old and she's OK with a little spice. I got mild because of her. It was so hot, and I normally love spicy things. I think it was the seasoning for me because it was so thick. I was not a fan. My husband got one of the sandwiches and he really liked the sauce. We also got fried okra and it was soaked in oil. The fried okra was good until you got to the bottom portion that was sitting in oil pretty much. The french fries were really good. I tried to order over the phone ahead of time, I was asked to pay ahead. I was on the road already so I didn't. They made it per order so be prepared to wait for your orders. I wanted a sample of the chicken sandwich so I ordered the Jr. Sando in Hot. This is a very tiny sandwich, a little bigger than a slider or breakfast biscuit in comparison. The heat index is real deal, I have seracha hot sauce every day and this chicken burns. There was barely very little coleslaw in it. WOW! I'm impressed with this location. They're better than the one in Fairfax! The food is cooked and seasoned to perfection. They're so friendly! While I was waiting for my Togo order. Just wow!! I've been to many Hangry Joes in the area because I commute a lot. This location is by far the best one. The customer service is excellent from every employee!! The manger is nice, he sampled a new menu item to me and my friends and that was very kind!! The location has many tables and is great to bring a large group of people or just one person. The interior is so clean and the bathrooms are clean too!! I noticed that as Hangry Joes grew as a franchise, their sandwiches got smaller. But this location has bigger sizes than the other locations!! I would highly recommend this location!! read more
