Spent the nite here due to the ice storm coming in. And yes we had ice cycles. Hehe. One waitress in this morn and a cook. More to come. Some calling in sick. We ordered and lingered this morning. My breakfast with eggs bacon and fruit pancakes was awesome. Lots of blueberries inside. The steak Bf got was nice n thick and really cooked to a perfect med rare ! Good day for lots of coffee! But we gotta go now. Great waitstaff and I think she was assist mgr. she joked around with us too nice!

    Excellent cobb salad.

A great small business that cares for their customers! Every front staff person came by to check on…read moreus, bring us food, irrespective and bring refills etc. Our party ordered burgers, gripped cheese, and a hot dog. The person whobhad the gilles cheese added bacon. They said the bacon was perfectly crisp, not floppy, not burnt. The Hot Dog was a Costco style 1/4lb dog, nuff said. The burgers came out on a soft hamburger bun, topped with a generous portion of lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. The patty was a well seasoned 70/30 patty that hit all the notes. Just right, not overly seasoned with GSP or fillers. Salt pepper Beef that's all. Finally, the star... the hand cut fries! This was a bonus for us as we didn't know thet had them. When the server suggested them, we all said yes! They were that rich brown that fresh fair fries get...ya know?! Summary: If you're in the area and are looking for a place to eat, check out the restaurant masquerading as a house in the center of Buckeye Lake.

I had the walleye dinner with baked potato and coleslaw. It was fantastic. Fresh walleye given in a generous portion. This has the feel of places I grew up with in southern Ohio in the 70s and 80s. The prices were amazing. My dinner was under $13 bucks which is half what you would pay in Columbus. The breakfast items looked huge and delicious so we will definitely be back to try those. Overall nostalgic small town restaurant vibes. Definitely check it out if you are in the Buckeye lake area.

Olde Dutch Restaurant in Logan -- so many people hyped this place up that we had to check it out…read more It's buffet style with all-you-can-eat salad bar, soups, hot dishes, and pies. Drinks are extra, and there's also a small $1-2 supplemental fee added on, which felt a little odd since it could probably just be included in the buffet price. The food itself is very classic home-style comfort food with lots of options. Nothing super fancy or out of the ordinary, but everything tasted fresh and the buffet was constantly being refilled every few minutes. We also got the iced sweet teas, which seemed to be really popular since almost every table had one. One unique thing -- the entrance and exit are through the gift shop, and you also pay there at the end of your meal, which definitely adds to the old-school country restaurant experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, too. Overall, worth the stop for the experience and comforting homemade-style food while visiting Logan.

This place was hopping but somehow everything flowed smoothly. We tried a little bit of everything- chicken and noodles, salad, stewed tomatoes, asparagus, has brown casserole, pie, etc. my husband seemed to really enjoy their fried chicken. They also offer a menu you can order from a la carte. The buffet was so extensive that we ended up sticking with it. I only hold off on the fifth star because some of the food was over salted and/or overcooked (especially the veggies- asparagus, cauliflower, etc).
