The location is perfect to park a truck hauling a boat em behind it or even a larger box truck. It shares the building with a truck stop gas station. Our waitress was great. Only complaint is she went on a smoke break and came back smelling like smoke. That is so gross especially in the food industry. The food was ok. I had a grilled cheese. You can tell us a cook a grilled cheese on the same griddle where they cook the ground beef for burgers and it had a gross taste to it. Okay so normally I'm not a huge fan of eating at a truck stop. However, we just had a darned good breakfast at this Dennys. The coffee was piping hot, and the breakfast portions were huge. I got the crêpe, and strawberries, eggs, bacon, extra crispy my husband got the grand slam, eggs, over medium, all sausage and hashbrowns, with whole wheat toast. Our server recommended cheddar cheese on the eggs which my husband enjoyed. But what really made this a good experience was our awesome server Jeffrey. Not only was he a great server but he brought the positive vibes that really made our day!!! This place is conveniently located right off of interstate 95, loads of free parking, and it is attached to a gas station and convenience store if you are traveling. I've never seen so little of people in a Dennys during dinner time. There was one couple in there beside me and my buddy. After being seated it took them 12 minutes to even come talk to us and take our drink order. Waitress was an absolute a-hole. Very rude, acted as we were an inconvenience to her gossip time with her other two waitresses. With everything she brought us we'd say thank you and she'd just roll her eyes and walk away with a "mmhhmmm. " hash browns were fried to an absolute crisp and super greasy. Ordered the All American Slam and it was very filling and tasty. Perfect amount of cheddar cheese on the eggs and the scrambled eggs were fluffy and not runny at all. Hash browns err crispy, bacon was crispy, sausage links were nicely browned. The coffee was hot and strong. Can't ask for much more at breakfast. My server Carolyn was so pleasant to me and her other tables and had perfect timing. Price was very reasonable for the servings. As far as Denny's go, it is a convenient location off the highway and attached to a gas station. It's pretty large but on a Saturday morning, it looked like almost all the tables were occupied. Service was still overall pretty good, but a little on the slow side. It's really good to get the job done if you are travelling. Not worth the stop. I'm not sure if all Denny's are now serving subpar food, but this one is. If you're driving toward Baltimore there are about 4 more Denny's coming up short, so skip this one and tell me about the others. I'm scarred though. It's my home City but gotta be honest. My first batch of pancakes had a hair encrusted in one. The waitress brought out a second batch and they also had hair in them. Some days it's hot yummy food. Other days it's horrible: an hour to get the meal, inattentive waitress, wrong food comes out, etc. One day we found a piece of plastic in the icing for the pancake puppies, and when we brought it to the waitress' attention she didn't seem to know how to handle it, for example she didn't offer to remove that from our bill. Some days the food is cooked to perfection, and some days it's burned to a crisp. I don't understand why it's so inconsistent? Denny's menu is better than their competitors. And it's less expensive for many things than Friendly's. I love the build-your-own burger and build-your-own breakfast. They are pretty flexible. And they seem vegetarian friendly (usually) though occasionally I get a clueless server or cook who insists I ordered the beef burger. They're also somewhat health friendly (more so than some of their competitors) and they can offer raw veggies or fruit mix as a side instead of deep-fried-everything. Some servers have been there awhile are GREAT! But the place seems to have high turn-over. I had been eating there at least once a week, and it's amazing how many new faces there are. And new employees means trainees who don't know the menu or don't know how to cook the menu items. As far as Denny's goes, it's not the worst or the best. I love that it's 24 hours! It's so nice to have someone to get a midnight snack from. Do watch the newspaper & their web site for promotions.
