What an adorable and tasty little diner! When we arrived the place was packed and we followed the signage instructions to "seat ourselves". Very shortly we were greeted, handed menus and our coffee order was taken, impressive efficiency with a full house! I've have a recent hankering for scrapple and I'm glad this is where I got it- super crispy exterior with a meaty punch of flavor inside, probably the best scrapple I've ever had. I chose the eggs Chesapeake, which is eggs Benedict on a bed of lump crab- you can't go wrong, it's delicious! Husband got the Jo Jo's breakfast burger (without the bun) and the patty was HUGE - a very filling and flavorful choice. Shout out to JoJo's for making my wife's birthday special tonight. I booked a party of 6 and they let me up it to 7. The Sol Roots Trio played amazing jazz and they took requests! Great covers of Bob Marley, Frankie Beverly and many others. Our servers were right on time, drinks and food came out quickly. I enjoyed the Mango Margarita (it had a lil spice to it which I loved) and my wife had a really good expresso martini. The New Orleans Seafood was delish. This diner/restaurant is about the best you'll ever find. Servings are over-generous and prices are pretty much at market or lower. But the food! Excellent! Come for the breakfasts, the blueberry pancakes are insane. Also unlimited chicken and dumplings, great prime rib, half roasted chicken, best tomato soup on earth, all top fresh. JoJos was clean and the staff for the most part were polite. I ordered the cream of crab soup and a Chicago dog. The soup was supposed to come out first, however server said she forgot. Soup should have been called imitation crab soup as it was pollock fish, not crab. There may have been crab in there, though I could not find any over the ton of pollock fish which gave the soup/bisque a slimy texture. The Chicago dog was more of a hoagie than a true traditional hotdog. Large hotdog served on a hoagie roll. It was good, but definitely not a traditional Chicago dog. This is a sad review. I really wanted this place to be good because I heard a few good things. But on this day the pierogies were freezer burnt and too hard to cut with a knife and the sour cream that usually makes everything better came in a packet like ketchup. My sons ordered the French toast which was literally grilled bread and corned beef hash that was definitely hormel and terrifying. I'm sad for this place. My family of four adults had breakfast at JoJo's this week for the first time. We had great food, friendly and professional service, and we liked it so much we returned for lunch the following day. We highly recommend the hot dogs that come in over a dozen different ways, some even with lump crab meat! I had the Coney Island dog grilled with chili, onions, cheese and sauerkraut. The buns were especially nice and big to accommodate all the ingredients and the 4 oz hot dog. My wife and daughter had the chicken noodle soup and loved it. When I go to Jojo's I usually get the creamed chipped beef over white bread with fried potatoes with onions and green pepper. It's so delicious that I found myself going there every Sunday after church. I'm impatiently waiting for things to open up again so I can enjoy the friendly family atmosphere. My husband purchased a hot dog for a late lunch and approx 30/45 mins later was on the side of the road vomiting with severe cramping and diarrhea. It was the only thing he ate all day. I called and spoke with a woman who stated that she didn't know what to do and would call the owner and have him contact me. I contacted the health department and never heard a word from the owner. My husband and I stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon not quite sure what to expect. After reviewing the extensive menu options (typical diner items plus a variety of hot dogs) I opted for the Greek Salad and New York City Dog. My husband ordered the Philly Dog and a side of tots. The salad came out quickly filled with fresh ingredients, it's a large portion which is big enough for a meal in itself or great for sharing. Next came the hot dogs, which my husband and I both looked at each other very surprisingly upon their arrival. These aren't your normal size dogs...these large plump franks are served on almost a sub-type roll jammed packed with whichever toppings you choose. The side of tots was also huge, definitely enough to go around the table. Now let me touch a little bit on the service. Our waitress was wonderful, checked on us often and even provided a refill to go. I can't say enough about this quaint little joint and best of all the prices were extremely reasonable. It's a hard find nowadays to find cheap decent food...we liked it so much we even went back for breakfast the next day. We went to JoJo's for dinner and have eaten there for lunch but tonight was the first time for dinner. They are under staffed and the waitresses were trying to keep up but many people were upset with there food and service. Our food was some of the worst food we ever had. No taste not very hot and just all around bad meal. I know they just moved to a new building but that has nothing to do with food quality. I hope they get better soon. read more

Made a quick pit stop here on our way to the Chesapeake. We thought this was the last restaurant on our way to Buttonwood and I am glad we stopped here. Jojo's diner is a quaint little place with a couple of booths and some tables. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. For dinner, my sister and I ordered something that we could eat quickly. We ordered a cheesesteak, roast beef hoagie, and sweet potato fries. I'm not joking, our food came out in less than 10 minutes of ordering! We both really enjoyed our sandwiches, but those sweet potato fries were everything. They came with a cinnamon butter sauce and man it was delicious!
