First time at a Denny's! The food (eggs, hash browns, pancakes) tasted great, except the biscuit. I wouldn't order it again. The service was fairly good, but our meals took longer than expected. This was our first time in Maryland. it took them almost 20 minutes to come take our drink order or food order. Another 25 minutes go by.. still no sign of our food...finally 34 minutes after we ordered our food, it came. my eggs were spongy, I don't even know why I have bacon and sausage.. my boyfriend never got his toast that he ordered.. we waited another 30 minutes before getting our receipt.. then when we got to cashier, the CASHIER not the server, stole the servers tips!! I don't even know where to begin on this one first from its reputation. I did not want to eat here. My friend insisted that we eat there and when we got there, I ordered chicken tenders and onion rings. My father ordered grilled cheese sandwich and potato soup my husband ordered a hamburger and french fries All were totally overcooked and disgusting. My dad's potato soup looked like dirty water with a onion piece and potato my husband's fries were cooked beyond recognition, and oh my onion rings and chicken tenders were overcooked and so hard I could hardly bite into them. This restaurant is better than it was a year or so ago. They do not take AARP discounts. Not sure why but they said they were a franchise and they didn't follow Dennys rules. Ok. New waiters and waitresses are more attentive. Then food has gotten better and the waits are shorter. The staff seem more pleasant. Prices have been raised and there deals are not really deals. 5.99 is only pancakes I was told. Coffee is almost $3.: Seems a bit high to me. read more

I was extremely disappointed in my experience at this location. It took the server 10 mins to seat us when there was only 2 other tables when we arrived. She brought out the wrong sauce for one of the salads and when we informed her of the mistake she just looked at us. The quality of the food was just awful. My chicken was overcooked and tuff. The gravy was more like gelatin, the Mac and cheese had a film on top from sitting in the pass to long. The shift manger was the saving grace of the night. The food is always pretty good coming to this Denny's. My waitress Destiny made it almost a goal to forget about me and my friend during this dine in experience. She completely ignored me about my drink refills. And only showed up at the end of our order to give our check, the customer service was TERRIBLE. She made this experience so frustrating and making it impossible to enjoy my meal. read more

My family has been going to this Denny's for several years now. Today we witnessed a shocking display of callousness for Maryland's state wide mask mandate and grotesque disregard for customers. A family was seated that wore no masks. Another adjoining family asked the asst. manager to request the other family to put on masks (as is required by Denny's Corp and is posted at the entrance). The asst manager went to the other family and reminded them about the policy, and told them to lift their shirts to cover their mouths and noses when they leave. The complaining family quickly finished and left. Then the asst manager returned to the seated unmasked family and apologized for having to correct them. And then proceeded to talk trash about the complaining family. My family witnessed this entire exchange. We spoke to the manager who chuckled about the entire situation and reassured us that "we are doing our best." Obviously, this manager was not doing his best and doesn't take 180k American deaths seriously. And is it Denny's policy to talk shit about families who make very reasonable requests that others abide by the law? Disgusting from beginning to end. read more

Had the spicy chicken skillet with two eggs on top and a gluten-free English muffin (Glutino brand - excellent as far as GF fare goes). The dish was really tasty and I could have eaten it at any time of the day. The wife had the pot roast melt sandwich with cheddar bacon tater tots. Best homely atmosphere with pleasant service. Perhaps the most popular restaurant for an elegant meal while being reasonably priced. The dinner rolls are light and almost melt in your mouth, the fries are just right but ask for a coke float with a shot of cherry flavoring - the perfect treat after a good day or a bad one. read more

I visit Denny's often. This location in Oakland MD was terrible. They do not accept AARP or Military discounts as all the other chains do. The place had more employees then guests. Although the place was dirty while the employees gossiped and of course on thcell phones. One employee was sitting inside near the entrance playing games on his cell. I guess this is why they cannot offer discounts and do not respect our veterans. I will not be to this location ever again and suggest you steer clear. read more
