Hungry Patrons & The Family Who Didn't Eat / We are Laundry's club card holders - the powers at be bestowed us the honor years ago with the flick of a pen. Today we had a reservation secured, were seated on time with no wait, no crowd... and then we were promptly ignored. For 15 minutes. No invisibility cloaks were used. We are still baffled by the lack of eye contact, general contact, or any attention really to speak of. Two servers and a manager passed us to wait on a lady two booths away. We meant to ask what incantation she used to achieve that sort of success but never got the chance. We respectfully asked one of the servers that passed if she knew who our server was and mentioned that we hadn't seen anyone. We asked the hostess the same question when the aforementioned server never returned (and was clearly unwilling to step in to BE our server.) So. We left. Our exit was swift, and it's unknown if our absence was even noticeable. On a serious note, the food at Saltgrass has always been consistently great, but the declining customer service is definitely noticeable and disappointing. Management hasn't ever given warm fuzzy vibes, but it's a shame to see similar attitudes and demeanors spread throughout the staff, and manifest today in the form of neglect. Food is way under par. Ordered delivery and my Wife's chicken fried chicken had no gravy, and looked like a paper thin chicken cutlet. My wedge salad had no dressing, my fried shrimp was soggy and greasy. All in all , digusting and not worth half the money. I am not a-fan of Texas Roadhouse because of the crowds and the hype, however, Texas Roadhouse is very consistent. Every time I order from there and pick up , or go in , it's the same. I have never had a horrible experience at TRH. Salt Grass, on the other hand, is always a problem. 1. it's way overpriced, 2. it's very inconsistent, 3. the quantity and quality is always dropping. Decided on their Grilled Chicken Dinner with mashed potatoes and the Chicken Tortilla soup. We had guests Evangelist with us and on Friday at 4:15 pm they informed us that they had run out of baked sweet potatoes. How do you run out of sweet potatoes at 4:15? Somebody wasn't doing their job. Then on Sunday, we thought we would try again. We had another guest speaker with us and they said they had run out of salad croutons. My steak was supposed to be medium but was too done. I couldn't eat it. Couldn't send it back because as long as it took to get our meal everyone else would have been finished. First, I was there for a seminar group. Our choices were limited by the host. I had the ribeye. It was very thin and had lots of fatty parts. I did not eat it. The plop of mashed potatoes were made eatable by adding the left over ranch dressing from our salads. After I did that, the rest of the table followed my example. Out of the 8 steaks on our table 2 were eaten. I took mine home for my dog. A couple of people ask about bread but we were told that they had run out. But when leaving the restaurant there was bread on the individual tables. Maybe out seminar host was just being cheap because he also told us we could only drink water. Saltgrass catered my granddaughter's third birthday party, and did an excellent job! The theme was "down on the farm" so my son and daughter-in-law decided on ribs and chicken for the main entree. The ribs were cooked well and the rub was nicely spiced up. The chicken was grilled and tender, and the chicken tenders were fat and juicy! They chose green beans, Mac and cheese, Caesar salad, and broccoli as the sides. Everything was cooked well and the serving containers were perfect for storing the sauces. No spills whatsoever! We tried. We really did. We used to go to this location often. But over the last couple of years the food has been coming out slower and slower and the steaks were usually over cooked. Tonight we were there for an hour and a half total and when our medium steaks came out they were pretty much well done - tough and chewy, to the point that we both just stopped eating. Second. Now I know that I am a big guy. I come in at 300lbs. Why the Young Man felt the need to try and put me in a booth and then laugh when I didn't quite fit is beyond me. Unprofessional and borderline bady shaming. This guy alone will be the reason why I won't return. If that is the way that he is going to treat the customer then I'll find another place. We went to Saltgrass to celebrate my son's birthday. Our waitress was wonderful, but we had an issue with Brittney and Kristi. We waited over an hour and a half to be seated for a party of eight, even though the waitlist showed we were "next" for more than 40 minutes before we were finally seated. During that time, at least ten smaller parties (2-4 people) who arrived after us were seated first. After seeing this, my husband politely asked if we could be seated at two separate tables to help move things along. Brittney told us the table was almost ready, but we continued to wait much longer. When my husband later asked Kristi the same question, she responded, "Leave my girls alone," which was very unprofessional and unnecessary. Throughout the situation, the staff appeared to be laughing and looking our way, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. We've been loyal customers of Saltgrass for years and have always had great experiences, but this visit was extremely disappointing. We hope management addresses this so other guests aren't treated the same way. read more

We came here because Texas roadhouse was absolutely packed over an hour and half wait at 730. Service was fantastic and the man on the grill absolutely nailed our steaks. Went to dinner on a Tuesday around 8pm Place wasn't busy at all , we waited at least 5 minutes to be greeted and seated. There was only 8 to 10 tables with customers. Our server took a while to come to our table we were about to walk out, we ordered everything at the same time, drinks ,appetizers and main meal it went smooth all the way till the end when were ready to pay, our server was busy doing something else not sure what. My very first experience at Salt grass was the best experience. We had a young man named Tyson; Tyson was so respectful, professional, and kind that it turned a bite to eat into a bonding experience. Not my favorite restaurant, but my Father-in-Law wanted to go, so...Waitress seemed to be pretty new, wife ordered the Salmon Oscar, and specifically requested the fish be cooked about medium (she will not eat salmon that is overcooked!). First time out, overcooked...second time out, the crabmeat on top was ice cold (like just out of the fridge). Third time, once the manager was involved, was the charm...of course, after bread, Brussels sprouts and waiting for the meal to be cooked for the third time, half of it came home. I had a house salad and a baked potato (we were informed there would be an "up charge" for the potato!), and decided to try the "house made" bleu cheese dressing, which was runny and short on cheese. Asked for honey mustard, which was much better. Dad had the combo shrimp, which was "okay", but he has a problem with any kind of spicy food. We asked if there was anything spicy on it, and were told it was "Cajun" spiced with cayenne pepper. Manager did take the wife's meal off the bill, so that was good. My salad and potato ran a little north of $16.00! Final was the wife asking for a to go cup of iced tea, which our waitress forgot the first time around. After several times passing the table, she stopped to inform us they were "out of to go cups". Yikes. This is our second time here...first time had problems as well. Won't be back.
