I hate eating at Denny's or any other crappy food "diner", but my boyfriend loves to come here. We usually only come for breakfast and order off the 2,4,6,8 menu. All you can eat pancakes for $4 or biscuits & gravy for $2... Can't complain. The waiters are always really cool. The regular meals are more expensive than theyre worth, but not everyone is open 24 hours, so it's whatever. read more

I think Denny's is crap, each and every one of them. However my lazy ass was too hung over to drive elsewhere and ended up here for some post-drunken eating. Now I get that it was Sunday and it was after Church, BUT still. We waited for almost 15 mins for a table and that was just because no one would take 2 seconds to walk us over to a table. The place was busy, but there were seats everywhere. Our server was nice, when she decided to come back and check on us, which wasn't often. My drink never got refilled and I drank my friend's water. I was dehydrated like a mofo and all she would bring me was the child sized cup of water. Ugh!! My waiter's service is the only nice thing I have to say about this Denny's location. It's not very clean there. My booth seat sagged and had a large hole in the upholstery. The hostess, cashier and food were all substandard. I was told that there was no manager available. I could on and on. I've had better experiences at other Denny's locations. Worst Denny's I have ever seen, went to have breakfast there, might have been two customers inside, we couldn't even get coffee. we sat there for over 7 minutes waiting for menus and for anyone to get us started. I'm only giving this 1 star because I have to put something....I'm very sad to say I won't be coming back to this location anymore. I ordered some breakfast over the phone to get picked up. When I was given my food (build your own slam) my over medium eggs were broken and absolutely no yolk.....pancakes we're ok and sausage was a little dried out but edible. The worst was my hash browns ...looked to be a 1/4 of the usual serving and it was burnt. Hash browns are usually golden brown and fluffy I would say in the inside. Mine looked like burnt potato sticks! So I called to complain, they offered to make my food again and upon arriving the server had an attitude and insisted the food looked ok, as she's the one who prepared it and packed it to go. For a Denney's, this was great. We had a very attentive waitress, the food was good exactly to order( and we are kind of picky) and service was fast. Our coffee and water were always refilled without having to ask, and we had an overall great feeling about this place. Great prices! If you need a quick, inexpensive breakfast, this is a good bet. read more

3/29/2018 arrived around 10pm. The restaurant had very few customers. 11:15pm food finally arrived. We watched as servers stood and talked while are food sit at warmer. All the food was absolutely cold. Coffee was even lukewarm & old. I do not post but this was so bad I had to make everyone aware how bad this place was. I am not a complainer or an old grouch. Awful awful food. Did not even get the food we ordered. The managers were cooking the food becauae there was no cook. Also only one server in the whole place. Short staffed to say the least and it showed in the food that was gross and not even what we ordered. The waitress was pleasant and definitely overwhelmed. We asked to speak to the manager about our food and was told he was the one cooking. Came to our table and told us because we ate most of the food we had to pay for it and at full price. What a joke as we were starving and the poor waitress was so busy she did not have time to check on our table so how could we tell her. So steer clear of this god awful place. My mom called in an order and she had me pick it up. I brought home what we thought we ordered and our order was wrong. Apparently I believe it was Diana we placed our order with and she could not hear us very well. So naturally we thought we shorted on some food. I went back to correct the order and they showed me where the mistake was. They fixed my shrimp order and gave the correct amount which was 18 instead of the 17 wed gotten. Originally we order 24 shrimp but Diana didn't hear the word 4 she heard 3. When I asked if they fix the 17 shrimp and make it 18, they said sure. I asked for fresh shrimp, but they just added on to what I already ordered. So now here we sit with our cold fries and cold shrimp but hey, you get what you pay for and I will not be returning here. If you order shrimp to go, count them before leaving and check your receipt because it seems people will order what they want you to have. read more

"Help wanted!!!! Needs cooks and servers".Said the sign at the door. Took way too long to have our order taken and to get food. My family and I were out to celebrate my birthday but I didn't want to wait too long for good, due to us being dead tired. My wife mentioned it being my birthday and the server said I had to order from the build your own breakfast menu for a complementary breakfast but I wanted French toast so I passed on that. After waiting 30 minutes for our food, after ordering, I told the staff it was taking too long and that I would like to pay for the drinks and go. The server said our food was done. I went back to my seat and waited longer for our food to be brought out. They brought out our order as the chef finished it. My son got his salad last instead of first and my wife got to eat her bread while her spaghetti was still being preped. My experience was not a good one and the staff offered no compensation. DINNER'S BEWARE!!! Getting sick is never a good thing. Paying to get sick is a terrible thing. On August 22, 2016 my wife and I stopped at the Denny's in Salida. Store # 290. We ordered breakfast. I ordered a Philly Omelet and she ordered Build Your Own Slam with ham and eggs. Neither one of us finished our meal due to the pungent flavor, maybe a dirty oil or spoiled food. Shortly after our return to the interstate we had to exit the freeway and hunt for a restroom. Leave the rest to your imagination!! I contacted the Denny's manager at the Salida store told her about our experience. She didn't seem concerned but did offer a 20% discount on our next visit. REALLY $6.00 on our next visit for getting sick and ruining our entire day. I didn't bother to let her know there would never be a next visit. My next call was to Denny's Corporate. They seemed very concerned especially to hear someone got sick. They assured me someone would contact me within 72 hours. That never happened. So I called them again. They assured me that someone would contact me within 72 hours. NO CALL! Do yourself a favor stay healthy, stay out of Denny's. P.S. All this could have been resolved if they would have given me my money, $32.16. I guess things aren't going good for them! read more

A full star is not even deserved of this mess of a restaurant. I ordered two desserts from their carry away service at 9:30 at night, they told me that it would be a 9 minute wait, so i went and waited only to be told 30 minutes later that it would be a 3 hour wait. no manager came out to speak to me, and I was not even offered a different dessert in return. as not many people would be okay with going back to Denny's at midnight to get something that they had ordered hours ago, I asked simply for my money back since we had already paid for the desserts too. This request was not even met as they claimed that they could not refund it under the circumstances. very unhappy. read more

This Denny's is terrible and the manager, Alondra, is even worse. She was incredibly rude on my most recent visit when I had an issue with my order. I would not recommend this Denny's. There's one on Orangeburg in Modesto that has much more friendly staff, and I have never had any issues with my orders there! read more

We went to Denny's on New Years around 1 am on the way back home to Stockton . We were very hungry at the time so we ordered our food and it took a long time to get it and when we did my wife started to cut her chicken and noticed a long hair in the sauce. So at that point she was so grossed out and we told the waitress and she took that piece back to the kitchen and like in one minute no joke the had one ready! (They said another customer ordered one so they had it ready so they gave it to us" right... But my wife was real hungry so she left it on the plate that it came on and started to eat the other piece and there was another hair! We couldn't believe it. So I had to get up again and tell the waitress so she said oh wow and took it back and said she was going to tell the manager so we waited and a manager never came to talk to us. So my wife only ate maybe 3 bites of her food so we get our check and they only gave us 10% off her meal even though she didn't even eat it so I was upset that they would do that, but we were more upset that a manager would not come and talked to us about it so we I got up to go pay and I asked for the manager he was a younger Asian guy, so I told him what happened and it was going through one ear out the other like he didn't care. This is what made me so mad is that he says well my cooks don't have long hair, so I told him my wife has red hair so are you saying its my wife hair in a polite way and he said no so I told him I wasn't going to pay for her meal that she didn't eat and he goes that's fine and started to take it off when he goes well you got facial hair and I couldn't believe he said that so I told him are you saying that I did it? I told him we were not trying to get out of a meal if that's what he thinks and that he was very rude for saying that so I asked him for his store number because I was going to make a complaint and he told me in a rude voice look at your receipt and walked away. So we left and while we were walking out I looked back in and the manager was laughing and telling all his co workers and pointing at his chin . So i called the next day and the manager was not available so i left my number and i didnt get a return call so i called again and nothing .I don't recommend this place to nobody. We have never been treated like this at a restaurant . I give it no stars! For some reason it put 1 star it deserves a -5 stars. We will never go here again. read more
