Amazing bar service! All the cocktails were incredible. Pie, hot wings (extra toasted), smash burger that gives VFW a run for their money and salad with their homemade ranch is the best in town!

Detroit clumpy meringue. Not worth the $25 for the pie. I will buy the boxed Marie calendars next time.

Tastey or WasteY???? Kind of a waste, if you're getting the lemon meringue Pie. I know they stopped making their pies for a while and then brought them back. The lemon meringue pie is clumpy. Twice now that we bought a lemon meringue meringue was deflated not fluffy at all. Maybe they need a new chef to make their pies. I haven't bought any other flavor other than the lemon meringue because it used to be my favorite... Now not so much. I took two bites and I will be getting rid of the rest of this $25 pie.

If you are driving down 99 by Turlock, CA, you need to take the time to stop by this landmark restaurant. Family owned for three generations (so far) when I come back to visit family, I make it a point to stop for pie. They serve other items but peach peach and ice cream are my favorites www.latifspedretti.com

I've been working as a chef in the area for 12 years and I've never stopped inside. Today is a first. The bacon habanero burner is to die for, that first bite quite literally changed my life. I didn't expect that burger patty to be so hot and you can taste the char on it, it was a perfect medium temp. The hot honey made it perfect! Best burger I've had in a long, long time. The service was exceptional! Thank you so much, Taylor! The ambiance was perfect, great for relaxing mornings with your loved ones. Will definitely be back to try more menu items! Thank you!

I would have given this place better rating. However, this place is PRICEY. The three of us ended up $70. That's ALOT for my wallet. The food quality is above expectation but for me, once is enough. I would rather revisit a restaurant that's more of mom-n-pop than something "trendy" and expensive. We can't afford visiting this place. It'll break us before we can retire. Quality of food: A Quality of service: A Price: $$

Very close to getting 5 stars. Continues to improve since re-opening after the fire. Great canned beer selection in fridge by the entrance. Weekly specials and happy hour prices are hard to beat in the downtown area. Old school vibe of the original Latifs still exists, but Pedretti family making great improvements to attract a younger crowd too. Excellent service every time I've been here and breakfast options are very filling.

AMAZING to say the LEAST. Experience it for yourself!Crunch wrap had everything: crunchy, slight heat, freshness firm lettuce, sweet & savory. Espresso martini hit! The crew took great care of us! Love the down to earth ambiance.

French Dip sandwich and really good onion rings.

What a cool dinner. It's an old school dinner in a cool old building. We were there for brunch on a Sunday around 11 and it was packed! Always a good sign. The service wasn't the quickest understandably, but they have the friendliest servers. They offer great breakfasts and sandwiches. My French dip was pretty decent and Amy's Denver omelet was delicious. Others in our party had a tasty chicken wrap, an awesome breakfast combo, Swedish thins and more. I definitely recommend checking out this place.

It's since been sometime that I've been in a vintage restaurant with remnants of the 50s, 60s, and 70s! The ambiance is electric with everything community and the people love it! The food and staff are pleasant (Thanks Jenna!) Looking forward to the next time!

Shrimp Louie was a little bland and forgot tomatoes on my salad.

Went after a day downtown. My oldest got the chef salad, I got the shrimp Louie and youngest got fish and chips. Service and staff were all very nice. My daughter enjoyed her salad, but partially through mine, I noticed it was missing tomatoes and had to ask for them. My youngest ate her fries and Cole slaw, but didn't like the fish. I ended up eating hers. Maybe would try again for breakfast.

Nice portions of food were you can take home. Since I was hungry and my boyfriend had already eaten, we decided to share the 1/2 sandwich and their soup of the day-a bowl of chicken n rice, DELICIOUS. Wonderful friendly helpful waitresses, who are attentive, great customer service, inside and outside seating-weather permitting. Right of Fwy 99 and Main St., in Turlock. Opens at 6:00 am and closes at 3 pm everyday- its a diner, and casual atmosphere! I would highly recommend my family, friends, and new comers. The waitresses are so friendly in Turlock and the cook is so cool. They are all off of Fwy 99 in Hilmar, Ceres and Turlock off of Main St nearby the freeway and and you will see McDonald's on your right side and Hot Rod on your left side facing the freeway. ENJOY! UPDATE: Went again a week ago, and yes the soup was delicious! We learned today that they have a variety of soups of the day. Even the lentil soup was delicious that we decided to take a bowl home to share or not.

We've eaten at the Hot Rod Diner in Ceres and were very impressed with this place. So after church…read moretoday we decided to try the one in Turlock, thinking we'd experience the same quality food and service. We were sadly mistaken. Entering the restaurant, the first thing that caught our attention was the dirty floor, littered with food and paper products throughout the restaurant. Coffee and water came out quickly but never had a refill on the coffee until I had finished my meal. Not because I didn't want any, but our server was busy with other tables and didn't get to us until we were almost done. My wife's meal was mostly ok, but the English Muffin was hard enough to use as hockey pucks. My chicken fried steak had a weird flavor and not sure if it was on the gravy or the seasoning used on the meat. But it was just so-so, nothing to write home about. Best thing was the eggs, done perfectly and hashbrowns were pretty decent. Biggest complaint was the slow service, probably due to it being grad weekend and they were pretty busy with families (according to the cashier), and the extremely dirty place. The bathroom was also dirty, obviously nobody had cleaned it for quite a while. I blame management for not planning ahead and having at least 1 or 2 extra servers/busboys on hand to handle the larger crowd. We decided to return to the Ceres location and call that our home for Hod Rod Diner food. As another recommendation, I suggest taking the carpet out and just having a plain floor; much easier to keep clean than a carpet.

I'm updating my review to reflect my experience last night. Emily, our waitress, opened the door…read morefor us upon arrival and she was very sweet the whole night. My friend and I split the wedge, which was very large. The picture I posted is a half portion they had separated for us to share. The only thing I would recommend is, the Bleu cheese dressing was lacking flavor and adding Bleu cheese crumbles would add so much more flavor. I ordered the seafood risotto. It had salmon, Mahi Mahi, shrimp, mussels and spinach. It had really good flavors and was large enough for me to take some home for my daughters to try. One of my friends ordered the Primavera pasta. She chose that because she wanted something vegetable heavy and it sure did have a variety. It has spinach, artichoke, bell peppers onions and zucchini. She's not huge on spice, but said the spicy marinara wasn't overpowering. My other friend ordered the pork schnitzel. She thought it was very good and I was able to snag a bite to try and I also enjoyed it. I would consider ordering it myself next time. We were too full for dessert, but the options sounded really good and I might have to go try them next time. Also, still no liquor license, so we stuck to water and soda. I'm glad I gave them a second chance. This one was much better than the first.

Finally had the chance to check out New Town Cafe…read more Service 10/10 Food 10/10 We started off with the Bbq Habanero wings. Delicious! If you can handle heat, give them a try! For dinner we ordered the Chicken Pesto Pasta & Caprese Sandwich. Both dishes were plentiful. The pasta had lots of chicken. The only small critique would be the fries. They are thin frozen type fries. Other than that the sandwich was tasty. We ended our meal with a crème brûlée. The interior is also a bit different. The floor and wall colors are a bit odd/ they don't really match the tables theme. And there is a part of the kitchen that could be seen from the dining room that is also unappealing. An easy fix would be a large curtain for this area. But those small details don't take away from the friendly service and great food. Definitely recommend and will be back to try other items on the menu.
