This was probably the best service I've received from this Denny's in a long time. I stop by this Denny's on the way to work from time to time but the environment, staff and service have been amazing recently! Maria provided outstanding service, was super friendly and so hospitable. She even got me a refill because she noticed my drink was watered down by ice without me saying a word. My food came out quickly and was cooked to perfection! The new manager Frankie (who is super fine mind you) stopped by the table twice to ensure everything was "kosher" and that I was satisfied with my meal and my experience. It was getting late, we were traveling and we were hungry. Our waitress Katie was awesome. She took our order without writing anything down and promptly brought our food. I thought the other review might be exaggerating but nope, this place is the worst. Slow to non existent service and nobody that works here seems to care. I was told to find a seat. 10 minutes later no service, this after nearly being ran over by a server walking away from the seat I was going to. The manager on duty was no help complaining of her having a bad day. Tried to get the store managers name and number but the on duty manager was too flustered rather trying to problem solve. After talking to flying j personnel, they stated numerous people have issues with this restaurant. Begs the question, why has management taken effective action to correct the issues? Unfortunately, only restaurant within walking distance of the Quality Inn. Deserves less than 1 star. read more

I've worked in the service industry & I have never treated a customer the way they did. They forgot my apple crisp & when I told them they said I was lying ! I am staying at a motel close to this Denny's and ordered online. I arrived to see a large group of people waiting to be seated. I stood behind another pickup customer. She had been acknowledged, but most of the people waiting to be seated or pay were being ignored. I watched as a waitress told a group of 5 that it would take over 45 minutes to eat. There was no sense of urgency to even acknowledge the customers. I heard a couple sitting at the counter tell a server they had waited over an hour and still had not been served their food. Finally I stopped a waitress to ask her to check on my order. She never came back. After having stood for over 30 minutes without being acknowledged, the other pickup customer and I stopped a different waitress. She told us the manager had told the cooks to ignore the online orders. About an hour after I placed my order I was given my food. This was my second visit to this Denny's. Both times have been very disappointing. Long waits for food (45 minutes). Wait staff making comments and excuses about the long wait. Today, however, was worse than the first time. There were 5 people in our party. So, we had a variety of offerings from the menu. The chococana pancakes were so hard they couldn't be cut with a fork. This Denny's was extremely understaffed and we were told it would take twenty minutes for an order only consisting of two milkshakes. Milkshakes. First it took them ten minutes to even seat us while the restaurant was nearly empty, then the milkshakes. Now I am one who understands how hard it can be to work understaffed, but this was pretty ridiculous. I don't know about you, but it wouldn't take me twenty minutes to make a couple of milkshakes. After being told that, we waited well over twenty minutes to get our shakes, and that in itself is also ridiculous. I do appreciate a twenty-four hour establishment and the people willing to work such late hours, but more than ten minutes for two milkshakes seems overly sufficient to me, doesn't it? The Denny's at the truck stop has gone way down hill. I ordered moons over mi-hammy. My sandwich was made with small white bread that looked like it was toasted and not grilled. French fries looked like they were cooked in old grease and burned. The only thing good was the apple crisp. Horrible service! Manager didn't acknowledge us for 10 mins, sat down and didn't get a server for another 15. Manager took our drink orders then hollered them to the server, who forgot the cream. Then the first greeting we get from the server is "Whos coffee?" And then she ran off again to be friendly with another table. Then coming back to take our order, it was just "ready?"
