The atmosphere was good but the food needed some work. Clean tables . Sadly the menu said cucumbers on the salad but there weren't any. I asked for onions instead and it took 10 minutes to get one slice of onion. The staff seemed much more interested in their own personal conversations than customer service. Avoid at all costs! If it's the last place on earth with food, go hunting... I wish I could give this place zero stars, because they earned it. The worst Dennys I've ever been to. We read some of the reviews about them being racist, but didn't think much of it. I brought my wife and kids here to treat them to dinner. They put some sort of metal lid in my wife's food. Served me sausage that looked like it was really old like over a week old and dry. I can only imagine what they did to our food that we didn't find. Service was horrible. People that were bigger parties that got there after us were served out gone by the time we got our horrible food, and they weren't even busy. The only way that I can imagine all of these things was definitely intentional. There is no way any of these things should happen, but all together is impossible unless done intentionally. Avoid at all costs! Especially if you or anyone with you is of color. I don't automatically go accusing anybody or any business of being racist, but I guarantee this is the case. If you're hungry for a better atmosphere go to Cracker Barrel. Way nicer people, food, and service read more

This was the worst Dennys and we love Dennys. The food took over hour waiting, no one said anything to us. Finally we asked And said it needs to be togo we're late now. A manager came out and told us there was a problem with the bacon burger no bacon jam. I said no problem. 20 min later the food was given to us in to go boxes it was cold. Asked for some ranch and the waitress said "are you ok without cuz I can't find it".. Also one we got to our truck, and we were missing the French toast.!!!!! We stopped in on Saturday 10/8 and were promptly greated and drink order taken. Food was ordered shortly after that. I was impressed how fast the food came out. It's the only Denny's in town, right by the freeway, and a shared location with a gas station. The wait can be a bit since they're understaffed, like most places these days... but the waitresses/servers have been super nice the couple of times I've been in here! The food is good and always a good temperature, too, although they're usually out of some stuff. Nonetheless, no complaints, the staff is very accommodating! I love me some Danny's :) read more

Sioux Falls, SD - Went for breakfast, after waiting and waiting for my food in an empty restaurant, I got a the wrong thing. The waiters brought a dinner Country Steak not the breakfast County fried steak. It was 8:30 in the mornin. I didn't say anything because it had taken such a long time to get anything. It was serviced with rice and mashed ( an every strange side for Country Fried Steak ) and small scoop of mashed potatoes. Both were ice cold and not edible. The gravy on the Chicken Fried Steak tasted like maple syrup. It was totally a disappointment and very expensive. Over $20.00 for one person. Should have went to Perkins. This Dennys is has pretty cool design and all I'm sure it is remodeled. The dinning room looks clean and well taken car of. I like that this Dennys is attached to flying j truck stop. Stuff is very nice. The lady that was serving me she was also very nice and kind. The only thing that I didn't like is my chicken tenders. The reason I didn't like them is because they were overcooked and too salty. I ordered them with mashed potatoes. The mash potatoes was alright but like I said tenders was overcooked. read more

The food at this location was good. They only had one server and she went on break just as we were ready to order desert, which we had told her we were going to do. Since she is the only server working the front, there was no one to complete our order or bring us a bill. We had to wait for someone from the back to come out front to check us out. Well we r back and in for breakfast. It's Fathers Day and they are busy!! Service has defiantly improved here. They have more mature waitress's now. Thank goodness. Worst experience I have ever had at a Denny's. 1st off, nobody wanted to take our table. The bartender "got stuck" with us after taking our drink orders. After 20 mins only 1 plate out of 5 came out. After 40 mins, yelling and screaming in the kitchen about food waits and items 86'd. After 50 mins, food comes out, and my food is completely dead. Manager was asked to the table, and only offered to remove the bad item from bill and offer a 15٪ discount. Honestly disappointed with this whole experience. I just wanted to have a decent meal with the family, and ended up with a travesty. read more

Was driving through South Dakota on my way to home from a road trip last week. Stopped to have breakfast. Service was slow...very slow. When I got my food, the eggs were cold and the bacon was stale. The only thing that was good was the toast. Thank God I don't have to eat there on the regular. I also feel bad for the people that live here and have no choice but to eat at this Denny's. This is the 1st restaurant review I've left, but the food was so bad, i see this as a public service. The worst French toast ive ever had- it was doughy. Egg was undercooked. Hash browns were not good and toast was only tiasted on one side. I had coffee (bitter), one egg and 3 slices of French toast. I had one bite of each and my order total was $21. I would give this place zeros stars if I could. We waited an hour for our food and the whole time our waitress didn't come to ask us if we needed anything; just disappeared and it wasn't busy at all. She didn't do her part in inspecting our food prior to serving it to us because if she did she would have noticed that my hands sausage was literally burnt to a crisp (can't believe they would serve someone that), part of his order was completely wrong, and I had the metal piece of the piping cream utensil in my food. We had to ask another waitress to bring my husband new sausage in which she apologized and said that never should have happened. When my metal piece was brought to their attention (a different waitress who walked past) I was given the option of taking it off of my meal price or having a new one made. Of course I chose the 1st option because I didn't trust them. The manager never came to the table to talk to me about it or apologize. They didn't care and was very non chalant. They told me that when I went to pay at the front that the manager is aware and would take it off my ticket. Well someone else was up there and told me it was off my ticket but it wasn't which I could see myself; so the manager came up there and took it off of my ticket. I then asked how could something like that happen because that's a big metal piece. She non chalant said "the trainer made that and probably got distracted". Which makes it even worse for me because if your trainer is doing that, what are they teaching the employees they are training? Again she didn't apologize for it and they were very nonchalant and didn't care. We were excited to finally try this Denny's but will never come back again. This is inexcusable come what happened to how it was handled and no one seemed to care. Let me just start out by saying this. It does depend on what cook is in the kitchen, buuuut: The food was cold. The side of queso was colder than my drink. It seems as if the cook made our pancakes and meats first. Then let them sit for 30-50 minutes. The eggs were perfect! But that's all they hit spot on. Our waitress was amazing! She kept apologizing saying they were short in the kitchen. It wasn't her fault! She got a nice tip, and this Denny's is getting this review. We stopped at this Denny's on a road trip from ND to Missouri. After waiting quite a while to be seated..we were told it would be a 20 minute wait because they only had 1 cook. We decided that would be fine. The waitress sat us and left....then sat others after us , got their drinks and took order. Our waitress kept going by saying she would be right with us. We kept watching others get their orders and food while we waited. Finally she came by and wanted to take our drink order. I told let's get the food ordered too, in case she didn't come back. Anyway it was over an hour when we got our food. There were only 2 girls working the floor..seating, register, cleaning tables, taking orders, and serving food. Very bad management at this place. At one point they put a closed sign out that said " no cook". I asked who was cooking , she said the manager himself. It's true the girls did not have a sense of urgency or show any concern over people having to wait. The waitresses did not work together at all. I felt a little bad for them but they didn't really seem to care. I thought maybe this was just a bad day for them...but now that I have read other reviews, I see this is trend for this Denny's. Again...very poor managent. Food was decent though. read more

Was hoping this was like every other Dennys, oh boy were we wrong. Waitress was rude and very snarky. After a 45 min wait to get our food, it was cold, not done as asked and all of our cups were empty. There was maybe 15 people sitting at tables.
