Horrible experience!!! 1) I wanted to call in an order, but couldn't get a response from ANYONE calling several times and no response so that didn't happen. 2) I had 2 separate "to go" orders. First issue was with the sampler plate, strawberry smoothy, cheesecake order. I went a couple miles back home and opened my food and... there wasn't any cheesecake!!! So I don't even know it's any good. My sampler plate was of poor quality. The mozzarella cheese sticks were not hot enough and at least 3 of them were hollowed out and the cheese didn't even melt. I didn't like the spicy chicken (2 strips) which wasn't really what I wanted. I wanted fried zucchini. The onion rings were many, but I didn't care for them. 3) I wanted to get an adjustment without having to go right back there. I tried the dennyslistens.com and to my dismay I came to my next issue... 4) I needed to locate some numbers and I realized that the ink in that printer is almost gone... It was IMPOSSIBLE because I couldn't read enough of the numbers because they were missing or unrecognizable which brings me to my next issue... 5) how do you contact Denny's customer service? 6) 1t's the reason you are reading this right now... I've ate here several times before and I've always had some kind of unpleasant experience. I usually just zip my mouth and bite my lip and let it go. Honestly I really take customer service serious and there's servers and employees that really dont give a crap about treating customers right and equally probably because they are just some miserable foolish people. Me personally I take customer service serious I look forward to giving $20 tips to workers and at times I have given a server a set of basketball tickets because they went above and beyond providing great customer service. I find happiness and pleasure in doing this because I'm financially blessed and feel that the worker should be rewarded. But today's extremely poor customer service experience forced me to decide that our server Roman did not deserve not 1 penny as a tip because of the following reasons. I requested water for my 1 year old because she was eating pancakes and eggs he simply ignored our request went to the next table to serve a bunch of loud obnoxious drunk people brought them water and drinks. At 1 point my baby started coughing and almost choking because of no water. I frequent Denny's on the weekends. I love to take the time to sit down and enjoy a nice, big breakfast. I was walked to my booth and seated. Ah, coffee! I ordered the Lumberjack Big Breakfast. Eggs, hash browns, ham, sausage, bacon, toast and pancakes. I always trade my bacon and sausage links for what Denny's calls a "hearty" sausage. It's a big sausage link, like you would see in the grocery store. I highly recommend it. I also always order grits, and a couple extra pancakes. Everything was perfect. I ordered the hash browns scattered so they brown better. Check! Sunny side up, eggs, check! Everything was just as I ordered. The pancakes were steaming hot, causing the butter to float around the top of the pancakes on its carpet of melted cream.! I am a big grits man, and they delivered, big time. Orders are taken within minutes of sitting down. Drinks are brought to the table promptly and food comes out so quickly that it is still hot from the kitchen. This is a chain restaurant so there are no specialty recipes or new things going on. So, The focus should be on customer service. That is where a typical chain restaurant should shine. That being said we were here for 2 hours--1 adult and 2 kids. There was no line when we walked in and several staff members were walking around grumpy and complaining about other staff members and customers. We still waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Drinks took another 20 minutes. We ordered appetizers and food. The appetizers came out cold on extremely hot plates WITH our meal. We ordered an additional side that never came out although remained on our bill. In the entire time we sat our coffee was refilled one time. The restaurant itself seemed clean and inviting but the feeling of the restaurant from every member of the staff, from beginning to end, was anything but. Not a person seemed like they wanted to be there. Staff and management could do well with some training on customer service and timing. This Denny's isn't even worth one star. It is absolutely the worst Denny's we have ever been to. When we arrived we were greeted by a stench that some sort of air freshener was attempting to overpower. That aside there were only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant occupied. Needless to say, it was NOT busy. It took 15 minutes for the drink order for our party of four to be brought out. We immediately ordered and it was another 40 minutes before our food was brought out. Only half of my husband's order was brought out. We had to wait another ten minutes for the rest of it. The food was luke warm at best. We waited nearly an hour before everything arrived to our table. We were only offered refills once. My mom placed a phone order at this 24/7 Denny's location at 10:15pm. I picked the order up for her on my way home and when I entered the diner it smelled like old dirty mop water. The server by the name of Valerie L and her coworker were standing at the register ready to greet me. I have been by this place many times and finally stopped one day. I had Breakfast on a Saturday morning. My server was Maxwell. He was adorable and very professional. I was happy I had gone in.Food is not the best but, it is very inexpensive, so no complaints here. After such a great experience, I thought I would go back for lunch. Since this time it was a week day Maxwell was not working, so I was given another waiter. He tried, however yelling at me from across the room ,did I need anything else was not professional at all. I know he just did not know any better. Please do not discuss your personal lives at work where all the patrons can hear. It is bad Business. Got a mobile order here the other night and it took effing forever. It said online it would be ready at 359am it is now 430am. Absolutely ridick.
