Okay, so I have two start with my two very favorite things about our visit to George and Gather. One, THE ORANGE SCONE. I truly thought I had tasted the best orange scone in my life until this one blew that one out of the water. The texture is so moist yet dense. It doesn't fall apart and the icing to pastry ratio is perfect. Two, the attention to detail in customer comfort/ way to market some product y'all. *clap clap clap* In the women's restroom, there is there market lemon sugar scrub for washing your hands AND a whipped beef tallow hand moisturizer............... say less, right? The bathroom and entire establishment if very modern and sophisticated while maintaining a comfortable casual atmosphere. The service was wonderful, very attentive. I do wish I could remember the name of our server, but she really was great. And the hostess did a wonderful job of seating us with four under four and four adults. The patio seating was surprisingly comfortable for how hot it's been outside. The food was good. A fun and impressive cocktail menu, however since I don't drink I had the privilege of gaining my calories in some great appetizers. (BACON WRAPPED DATES) The kids breakfast was simple, but my kids complained they didn't like the eggs and potatoes because they tasted like nothing, and they were right. So for other kids it's might be just right for them, too, however if your kids have tastebuds, the sweet treats and meatballs do the trick (very garlicky meatballs for me) It was lovely and fun to visit the market afterwards too. read more

Another 5-star George and Gather experience in the books! I saved my stomach for the Pesto Chicken Pizza. The sourdough pizza crust really hit the spot! The salmon that my husband ordered was very fresh and the overall dish was very colorful. However, the base is smothered with horseradish cream, so be mindful if you can't really handle spicy food, or ask for it on the side. First time here, came in for dinner on Friday 8/7/26. And wow the entire restaurant was packed. Tip: you can make reservations on their website if you plan to go during busy dining hours. There's a little market on the side of the restaurant that you can shop for cute girly merchandise, and they have bakery, coffee and other drinks. So while I was waiting for my table, I walked around the little market and got the Triple Berry Matcha with lemon cold foam. Wow! This drink was delicious! It's not too sweet and the lemon is a great complement to the matcha and the berry sauce. The restaurant has plenty of space indoor and outdoor and even private room for large parties. As this is AZ's chef week: I did the $55 menu as followed: 1st course - PEACH & BURRATA SALAD : this dish was delicious! 10/10! Every ingredients in the dish were fresh. Please add this dish on your permanent menu! 2nd - CHORIZO BEER BRAISED MUSSELS: 4/10. The mussels tasted nice and fresh. The sausage was flavorful. However, the broth was so salty. Extremely salty. This type of mussel dish is my favorite dish, I get this dish in different restaurants. So I was disappointed that the broth was very salty that I couldn't use the mussels to scoop the broth and eat the mussel and broth together. I don't think my dish was meant to be this salty .... So maybe something went wrong. 3rd: SMOKED ALMOND & BOURBON PECAN PIE: wow this is probably one of the best pecan pies I've had! It's served with Coffee chantilly cream, which was delicious. 10/10 I also got the Carne Pizza, which is on the regular menu. The pizza was great. Thin slice, the bread of the crust tastes good, and the meat was flavorful. The service was great! I got sat on the outside patio. And the waiter came out to check on me pretty often. Came here for date night , kind of last minute. Our server was pretty good for the most part. I would say this place is a 3.5 but not quite a four. We got an appetizer and two entrees and we both agreed the appetizer actually outshined the two entrees , and it was just whipped goat cheese with toasted butter crostinis. The pizza we got was pretty decent but we both didn't like the fact that it was so soggy at the bottom and the crust wasn't crispy but yet it also wasn't packed with toppings so that doesn't really make sense. We also got the braised short rib and we both thought it was kind of underwhelming. The atmosphere was great though, love the great Gatsby vibe and the restrooms sugar scrubs were a great touch. On a hunt for gluten free options and saw this on my TikTok page. Had to try it out. It was a bit hard to find parking can be limited on busy days. But we parked on the side of the street parkings. We go here pretty often as we enjoy the food because it's flavorful but also healthier for you since they don't use seed oil and everything is made from scratch. We never feel bloated or gross after eating here, even if we over indulge a bit. Service is usually great. We had one time where the service was lacking, but they responded to my feedback quickly and even followed up on our next visit to make sure all was well the next time around. This most recent visit we had a good variety of items: Wings with all 4 sauces - these are always great. They are crispy and flavorful on it's own even without any of the sauce Bacon wrapped dates - my first time trying these. I enjoyed the bacon but wasn't a fan of the date texture inside. My brothers loved it though. I liked the sauce it pepper puree on it. Bianca pizza - it wasn't bad but not my first choice for their pizza. I like their carne pizza as I prefer my pizzas to have sauce. The ricotta was good. G&G double burger - this was really good and flavorful. The burger was cooked well and the bun was soft. The truffle fries were good as well. Braised short rib - I only tried a bite of this one. The short rib itself was very tender and I liked it, but I didn't care much for the puree. It was more of a whipped airy texture and pretty much dissolved in your mouth once you ate it, so I couldn't really taste anything. Truffle Mac and cheese - I didn't try this but my brothers liked it. One said the truffle was faint while the other said it was pretty noticeable lol The drinks were okay and can be a bit pricey. I liked the Crimson Garden because you can really taste the ginger which I love. Honey Apricot Cheesecake - this is a must try. I'm not a big cheesecake person but this one isn't dense like others are. The whipped cream is so good and it's not overly sweet. Lavender Matcha - I'm not a big lavender person but the lavender went well with the matcha. It wasn't too earthy either. If you're on the fence, definitely give this place a shot! The truffle fries - do not skip it! The beet salad with the salmon is just YUM - fresh, light and leaves you satisfied that you haven't cheated on your diet but still had a good meal! The pizza, if you come here and do not have pizza, you're doing yourself injustice, lol.. we tried the Farmers Market and it was out of this world for sure..! Now here is also where I got confused with the menu, there are some items which are for lunch-dinner vs brunch, sides also vary. I was told they use clean and organic ingredients which you can taste from the get go. They were inspired by The Great Gatsby, the Art Deco-style décor is brimming with rich walnut woods, striking stylized tilework and glimmering brass fixtures, all situated beneath a restored vintage ceiling. If you're in the downtown Chandler area looking for a more elevated, but casual vibe, this is a great option. We sat at the bar and felt very welcomed. In terms of drinks, they had great cocktail options, but also a nice assortment of nonalcoholic crafted drinks at the bar. In our group, we ordered the Wagyu meatballs and the Pasta Pomodoro. I really enjoyed the mixture between the lemon ricotta and the sauce. Another factor that I enjoyed about this dish were the noodles used! I really like George and gather. I've been here for dinner before but this was the first time I've come for lunch. It was quite crowded at lunch, I'm parking was a bit of a challenge on the day I went. My friend was already there so they directed me to his table when I arrived. Our server promptly came to the table to take my drink order and tell me about the special that was not on the menu. I ordered the off menu chicken Caesar wrap with a side of fries. It was really delicious - - I love when they actually put their wrap on the grill to make it crispy on the outside. The fries were quite good - - the kind that you can keep eating as they get cold. My friend got a bowl, but I have no idea what kind. He seem to enjoy it. This place has a nice, modern atmosphere and a great dining patio outback. Went in during the lunch hour and was greeted quickly and sat promptly, even without a reservation. Overall (5/5): between the food, service, and decor this restaurant will not disappoint. Food (5/5): We had the whipped goat cheese and chicken Caesar wrap. If nothing else, give the whipped goat cheese shareable a try. With notes of sweetness from the berry compote and raspberries to the savory notes of the cheese it is well balanced to create a flavorful experience. The chicken ceaser wrap was delicious. There is a parking lot and indoor/outdoor seating. I love the decor and ambiance of this place, especially the lighting in the dining room. They have a separate area with a small shop and cafe with desserts and some grab and go items. I will be back to try a coffee! My friend and I came here for the pre-set restaurant week menu. I made a reservation the night before, but it wasn't too busy while we were there on a Tuesday at 530pm. Our server Allison was great and very attentive. For appetizers we tried the whipped goat cheese spread and wagyu meatballs. I thought the goat cheese spread was delicious! For entrees we choose the pasta pomodoro and the farmers market pizza which were both very tasty. The pizza had so much flavor l, especially the crust, and the texture of the pasta was perfect!! I loved this little nook as it was quieter. What We Ordered: - Red Wine: My coworker ordered this, and remarked how much she enjoyed. Takes an edge off the work week, and a great pairing of catching up while I was onsite at the Phoenix office. - Curious Cocktail: The temperature of the day we dined was 111° and I needed something refreshing. They didn't have a Spritz on the menu, so I went with this. I did enjoy the flavor, but could only have one of these as pretty sweet. - Heirloom Tomato Toast: This was the perfect start to the meal, and the vibrancy of the heirloom tomatoes was refreshing. I really enjoyed the miso aioli as it really complimented the tomatoes. - Side of Crispy Potatoes: Sometimes you just need some carbs, and these hit the spot for a starter before entrees though it is listed as a side. - Dry Rub Chicken Wings: These were decent for wings, but I think I would refrain from ordering again as the sauce choices just weren't great. - Mercato Sourdough Pizza: My coworker throughly enjoyed this pizza, and it intrigued me to return to order one as I couldn't have this one (pesto). - Orange Olive Oil Cake: This was perfection! The salted honey whip + berry coulis helped balance out the denseness and tartness of the orange olive oil cake. Came here for date night and was not disappointed! I had read great things online and was excited to see they offered gluten-free options. We ordered the pepperoni pizza on cauliflower crust, drinks, and the parmesan truffle fries... everything was delicious. One thing I really loved was the attached bakery. After my 3 star review for lunch a few weeks ago, I made dinner reservations which I highly recommend since this place fills up fast! We lucked out & parked right in front. Place was already busy & buzzy with happy people. House bubbly water was bubbly! Service was unobtrusive & friendly. We sat at a corner booth near one of the entrances (fyi there are some on both sides of the building). Ordered a couple coffee drinks at a reasonable $7 each and they were perfectly prepared. Yes! For a starter we did truffle fries which were fresh crisp & not cooked in seed oil. That made me feel good about ordering something fried, lol. For our main we went with the Hawaiian pizza. Savory meats, fresh jalapeño with tidbits of pineapple on sourdough crust. My only wish was for a little more pineapple. Only downside was that the door we sat by kept getting left open by customers and it took a long while before a staff member closed it. All in all, it was a good time & good value. I always order them wherever we go. *The G&G double burger--my fiancé was in heaven and thoroughly enjoyed the fries too. * Pasta Pomodoro with waygu meatballs--9/10 my SIL loved it. *Harvest bowl with salmon--10/10 very refreshing and tasty. Salmon was cooked to perfection. We had 3 cocktails each and tried most of their cocktail menu--we loved all our cocktails...some more than others. As a cocktail connoisseur--would definitely come here for just cocktails. We tried the honey apricot cheesecake--strongly recommend WOW. And the orange olive oil cake--very good but not honey apricot cheesecake good. Overall this place exceeded our expectations for a random Thursday night dinner. We popped over for an early dinner after touring an apt across the street. It has a casual vibe but you had people dressed up and people in jeans. We got the curious and Clooney cocktail (named after Georges), and the goat cheese board. The sourdough is local and the taste / portion was perfect. I got the harvest bowl with salmon and my mom got the cheese burger. Really generous portion and epic taste. Our waiter (didn't get his name) had great recommendations and was attentive. I was in town for the weekend visiting family and was looking for a good breakfast with organic coffee. I really wish it were easier to find breakfast joints with organic coffee but it can be a bit difficult to find in certain areas, such as the east valley area. This was one of a couple options I could find. We attempted to dine here for dinner on a previous occasion but it was a long wait at that time so we went elsewhere. This time we showed up around 10:15am on a Saturday in June, and we were quoted 90 minutes for two people. Fortunately there was room at the bar, so we were seated immediately. The decor is very clean and subtlety higher end. It is an open floor plan with the bar towards the front door, which is also accessible from the large patio (in cooler weather times) that has mister fans and a lot of shade. They have one of the nicest and cleanest restrooms in the valley, with complementary sea salt scrub and high end paper napkins. They also have a couple luxurious event spaces, one of which was hosting an engagement party. My mom tried a non alcoholic drink special with decaffeinated tea and fresh juices, with a little flower on top. She also tried the avocado toast. She enjoyed both but she said the avocado toast was a little spicy, albeit she has an extremely low tolerance for spice. I opted for the breakfast sandwich and black coffee. The coffee came in a neat mug with an oversized handle that was very ergonomic. It was good, but slightly watery. Was at least comforting to know it wasn't laced with tons of pesticides like most restaurants' coffee. The egg, bacon and avocado sandwich was delicious. The egg and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the bread was nice and soft but not too dry. The greens on the side were fresh with a nice vinaigrette. The service was excellent, all of the staff were friendly and seemed to be happy to be there. All in all I was impressed with this place. The only thing I wish they had on their brunch menu was an omelette, because this is first place I have been in a very long time that isn't a fine dining establishment, where they actually know how to cook eggs properly. They were fluffy, moist, and light. I don't bring this up as a brag, but I attended culinary school and learned proper scrambled egg (French style) technique years ago. This is the first place I've been in a long time that gives my eggs a run for their money. read more

I was recently in Chandler for a work function with a group of 27 of us, and we were taken out as a large group to George & Gather on our first night. Upon our arrival, we were brought into a large room in the back set up for all of us in a big U-shape. The tables were set, and we quickly learned that we didn't need to place orders for our meals as appetizers, entrees, and desserts had been pre-ordered for the group with appetizers and entrees being served as family-style while the dessert would be plates of two options that we could select when they come out. We did have the opportunity to order drinks upon our arrival and throughout the evening. I started off by ordering a Curious, consisting of strawberry-Infused vodka, aperitivo, sparkling rosé, rhubarb, osmanthus flower, and lemon. It was a very tasty drink though probably too strong for me, but still fruity and sweet as I typically order cocktails. The appetizers were Wagyu Meatballs (with pomodoro, grana padano, basil, and local focaccia), Parmesan Truffle Fries (with truffle aioli, white truffle oil, grated parmesan, and chives), and Beet Salad (with organic arugula, organic mixed greens, roasted beets, oranges, Laura Chenel goat cheese, toasted pistachio, basil, and orange-balsamic vinaigrette). The entrees were the Carne Pizza (with spicy tomato sauce, mozzarella, Cup & Char pepperoni, Italian sausage, ricotta, and local raw honey), Rosemary Potato Pizza (with mozzarella, potato, red onion, gorgonzola, rosemary, and olive oil), and Roasted Organic Chicken (with Romesco sauce, fingerling potato, charred broccolini, and lemon-herb jus). The dessert was a choice between Honey Apricot Cheesecake or Flourless Chocolate Torte. I chose the Chocolate Torte. Everything was delicious though I stayed away from the Carne Pizza due to its spiciness. George & Gather wants customers to feel that their food nourishes the body, sparks connection, and brings joy to every bite. It was delicious and great place to build community, so I would say they have been successful. There was a great vibe to the restaurant, and if it wasn't so far of a drive for me, I'd go back probably rather regularly. I am a sucker for a warm and cozy vibe and places that support smart businesses. George & Gather is just that! I absolutely adored the walk to and from the registers that had a ton of products from small businesses. Their seating area was clean, spacious, and cozy while having plenty of it both indoors and outdoors. I tried the breakfast burrito which was a perfect size and very yummy. I want to come back to try more cause everything sounded good. Definitely recommend if you want a space to gather with family or friends and good food. Can't believe I haven't left a review yet! I've been here three times now and every visit has been great. The pizza is great, the treats are yummy, and drinks are good too. I have also been here once for breakfast and had a parfait with lemon curd in it and it was very good. I love the interior as well, and that the bakery/cafe/to-go side is separate from the dining area. I also love the cute products and gift type items available in the little section in between the two larger spaces. I wish I lived closer to downtown chandler, I would be here more often. Excellent food! No seed oils! No refined sugars Probably one of the best Chardonnays I have ever had. The lattes were amazing especially the gingerbread dirty chai. Got the garden wrap and added chicken. Very good light and refreshing. The truffle fries are also absolutely amazing. The restrooms are very clean and there is a complimentary sugar scrub which was so nice. Things I hated. The tables are so close together you are hearing everyone's conversations! Also there is an alert that goes off every few seconds to let the staff know the food is ready. It's very distracting and loud. Like a video game being played. Their sourdough pizza and selection is great. We ordered the pesto chicken pizza, truffle Mac n cheese, truffle fries and carne pizza. It was all delish except for the truffle Mac n cheese. It felt like something was missing. I was expecting it to taste creamy and Smokey. The rest was delicious, I loved the pesto chicken pizza. We also ordered drinks. The Jetson was interesting as I could taste the coffee yer the orange flavor, very smooth. I order ed their crimson mocktail was perfect, earthy and refreshing . Service was great. She was patient as we reviewed the menu and came often to check up on us. The ambience is chill, classy, there's outdoor and indoor seating. Bar are is outdoors. Booth and table seating. Are here recently for a lunch meeting! The food was yummy and fresh - especially it being a scratch kitchen! Before I went I looked online and saw pizza! I went in wanting pizza but immediately learned it's on the dinner menu! They have plenty of options! Loved that the restroom had a lavender scrub which is locally made and they sell. Next time I go I plan to buy it. Lavender is my fave scent for night time care. Service was nice! I'll definitely stop by soon to try the coffee /treat shop. They also sell cute things, I might go back and buy a jewelry plate I liked! I will be back! read more

We had a reservation for dinner for girls night on Friday and it was amazing! Both the inside and outside have such a good vibe and our server was great! I loved the mocktail options and we had some of the best pizza and the kale salad was DELICIOUS. read more

After our visit I promptly removed this place from my bookmarks. Disappointing from the moment I spoke with the hostess. We had been put on a wait list shortly before I arrived. When I arrived and spoke with spouse he had already been waiting 20+ minutes. When I checked in with hostess to see if there had been any changes I was promptly schooled that "he was told "XYZ" and there's one table ahead of us still... I disregarded that vibe, figured because it was "busy" or because it was "Saturday evening" and everywhere is busy... I felt the senior hostess was curt when I inquired about the status of our wait, so I tried to brush it off. Just inefficient all the way around. From seating and neglecting to ask about seating preference (could there have been a shorter wait?), initial greeting by server, or was it a bus boy?, beverage order and wait for food. Couldn't even get a full glass of water poured or full carafe brought to the table while we waited for service. It was all very disappointing and I feel completely led astray by the ratings and reviews. I truly can not believe we waited 1 1/2 hrs just to be seated so we could eat pizza. Oh, but wait! It's pizza on 130 year old sourdough yeast?! Whatever. The pizza was alright, but the entire experience certainly didn't improve the taste of the pizza. Tourist trap? Maybe. Trendy? Because it's located in downtown Chandler? And then there's the parking scenario. If you're staying at the San Marcos or the other hotel downtown, walking here will be quicker than trying to find a parking spot. Carpool would be my other suggestion because parking really is a premium. And I want to add, the hostess never came to let us know a table was ready. We were only offered a table when my son went in to check the status. Only then did he get asked if we would be open to outdoor seating. Maybe Brunch has something more to offer. IDK. But I'm certainly not inclined to recommend or dine here again. read more
