Food - Pancakes, turkey bacon, eggs - The pancakes are soft and fluffy. The butter tasted a bit synthetic. The turkey bacon was burnt. The over medium eggs were still runny on the inside. The take out container was interesting. I liked how the food was separated to keep the pancakes soft and fluffy. Atmosphere - The restaurant itself smelled a little weird. I wonder if it had anything to do with the restroom. They had the restroom door propped open at the time I went. No music playing when I visited. I liked that. I prefer no music over loud music. I don't like loud music. It's hard to hear with loud music. I did not visit the restroom. It was empty inside. Eventually a couple came by to get food. Service - There were about two employees. The service here was quick once the employees showed up. Order and pay at the register for take out. No self seating. They bring the food out to you. Parking - Surface parking lot. Take out only dedicated spots available. No parking meter or parking structures. Unique - I have never seen a two layered take out container. Saw an A health rating on Yelp.

Jules what's amazing! Made my son's birthday perfect. Definitely ask for Jules! My son had the best time!

Didn't even order coffee, but the mug told me COFFEE IS LIFE... so I guess my TEA is living its best life.

Review for Amanda & Maria Mariiiiaaa! at Denny's I've been coming to this Denny's for over 10 years, and the main reason I keep coming back is the people -- especially Amanda, one of the most reliable veteran waitresses you'll ever meet. I first met her when I moved into the apartments down the road with no cooking utensils at all, so I was here for breakfast and dinner almost every day. From day one, Amanda treated me like family. She checked on me, remembered my usual order, and made those early days in a new place feel a lot less isolated. She's been a friend ever since, and she brings that same steady kindness to everyone she serves. And then there's Maria -- Mariiiaa! "She reminds me of a Westside Storyyy" -- but she's the chef/cook holding down the kitchen. If you've ever walked into Denny's at 4:45 AM, barely awake, and seen Maria smiling from the back, you know what real hospitality looks like. She makes sure the food is hot, correct, and prepared with care. That kind of energy at that hour is rare. This Denny's isn't just a place to eat -- it's a place where people like Amanda and Maria make you feel welcomed, remembered, and respected. That's why I've been coming here for a decade, and why my friend Grant is celebrating 22 years of coming here today. It's the people that make the difference, and that's why I'll keep coming back.

As my uncle said, if the place has wood paneling on the walls it's probably great. I had the country fried steak and I love that they give you the option to sub toast for biscuits at no extra charge! Food was delicious, filling, and a very generous portion! If it matters, I ordered a chocolate milk and they don't skimp on the chocolate. The place was absolutely packed so the noise was a bit to navigate around, a little hard to have a conversation in, but otherwise it felt very homey. Wait staff were very attentive and kind!

We have a former work place group that tries new breakfast places every so often. We tried Harlows and were amazed to find dinner prices for breakfast. Charging $20 for Huevos Rancheros (no meat), $21 for a very average chorizo egg plate and $20 for a very average hamburger is charging uptown prices for a very old cramped place of business. Lucky that someone at the table found a flyer for "early bird" specials that we ordered from. One egg, one bacon and potatoes for $8.50. One in our part had pancakes. We felt we had escaped without breakig the bank but still hungry. Apologies to all you long time Tempe residents who know the owner and have been going there for ages, but I don't and won't.

Fun collection of comfort food on the menu. We had the Biscuit & Gravy and Lil' Birdy (chicken biscuit). Both were ample in size, very filling. The hostess and the waiter were amazing. We had the pleasure of talking to a cool gentlemen who was a cool native of Phoenix. I traveled from Tucson and wanted to give this Diner a try. Overall I would give this place a 3/5 stars. Huevos rancheros- disappointed it wasn't the traditional salsa bandera (onion, tomato, Jalepeno) but it was good. Different twist with the rib with eggs. The chips were soggy when I got my food. I liked the red onions, it added a little kick to the food on top of what the food offers to begin with. 6/10 Eggs over medium- not too runny how I like it. Velvety, the eggs weren't burnt crispy and was delightful. Meat was umami, savory and tender. Different than what I expected, had a little kick of spice. Beans were dry and bland. Not very impressed. 3/10 Pancakes were okay. A little dry for my taste but they were fluffy. The syrup with it was tasty. 5/10. I enjoyed this restaurant but I think it was a bit pricey for everything we ordered.

We both ordered medium rare prime rib, and we both got medium well instead. They told us that was as rare as they had. I think it was cold and was reheated in the microwave to warm it back up again. The dinner came with 2 sides, but because it was not 4pm yet they didn't have any baked potatoes ready yet, so country red skins were the next best thing along with the green beans. The potatos were decent, but the green beans were canned and mushy. The salad was lettuce, 2 tomatos, 2 cucumber slices, and some shredded carrots. Their ranch dressing was decent, but I maybe got about a half of a tablespoon. The one thing both of us loved was their cornbread muffins. They were delicious, and I even thought about bringing home some extras because they were that good. The service was quick, but maybe a little too quick. I hadn't even finished putting the dressing on my salad when dinner came out. I still like this place for breakfast, but I don't think we'll be back for dinner again.

Second -- CASH ONLY There is a Hawaiian inspiration/theme at the The OBH mixed with mexican flavors -- basically if you like a lot of meat with your breakfast then come here. When looking at other people's plates the portions looked very large -- the prices are average -- not cheap but not over the top. I did see someone with a cinnamon roll that looked pretty delicious. My mom had been here one other time and got the cinnamon roll pancakes, which she loved (and why we are here today) -- Nothing was speaking to me on the menu so I just ordered the classic OBH pancakes. I would give them about a 5/10 on the pancake scale. Also they didn't have real maple syrup even to purchase for extra -- they say their syrup is a maple syrup blend -- it wasn't full on plastic but it wasn't real maple syrup. I also ordered a side of scrambled eggs with cheddar -- it was a little runny and overall just average. The coffee was rank -- I would give it a 2/10. Our server was very friendly as was all of the other staff -- that is why I hate to only give 3 stars because it is a great local spot.
