Well this is the 2nd time since 9/27/2018 (Pre-Covid) that I visited this Waffle House at 1801 W Baseline Rd, Guadalupe, AZ 85283 So I thought an update review was due. The restaurant was very clean and had three servers and a Chef. I really like the design of it as there were booths and a bar. This is a standard design of all Waffle Houses. I had my usual, a ham, cheese, onion, and mushroom omelette. It's great the way it's whipped in a mixer, then put into a pan with the ingredients. The hash browns were perfect and I don't want to forget the waffle-Yum! The coffee was really good also. The restaurant was really busy but service was nice and friendly. An honorable mention to the Chef who was super busy making the food. He did an outstanding job getting the orders out quickly and making sure it was perfect. This restaurant has a few older reviews that reflect some issues. Over the last year the majority are 5 Stars. Honestly, for what it is-this is a great restaurant! The business model and design of the restaurants are well thought out. The majority, as this one, is company owned. I was very surprised that omelettes were not on the menu. If you want something special, just ask. Of course I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Waffle House AND it's open 24 Hours daily!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This was my first time trying Waffle House after a late flight in and it will be my last. We were seated quick when we came in because there were only 2 other groups. We placed our order fast and the waitress was very nice. She's just not good at the job. She didn't check in on us at all nor checked in on our order. It's an open kitchen so you can actively see our food order getting taken to another table that came in after us by another waitress. Speaking of the kitchen it was a mess. Leftover food all over the waffle makers. I got up 3 different times to speak to them. Our eggs, toast, and hash browns came first after 45 minutes! Then it took another 15 minutes for 2 overly salted sausage patties to come. Then I had to complain about our waffles still not coming and only one came out after another 10 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous and even after saying all this the girl openly realized my waffle order got taken for a to-go order by OUR WAITRESS. I ended up canceling my waffle order and we left as fast as possible. Literally an hour and 30 min there. Never again.

Sai is AMAZING! Super friendly, positive and a definite asset to Waffle House. He had just worked 17 hours and was super friendly and attentive! Restaurant was super busy but once seated we had great service.

Open on thanksgiving. Friendly and very good service, eggs scrambled perfect, grits good, fast and fun! WH hats given. Coffee slow service is all.

Waffle House gets a bad rap from comedians like Jim Gaffigan, and it is quite obvious that Jimbo himself is a frequent frequenter of WH. Shaina at this location was an excellent server and the prices cannot be beat. The food at Waffle House is simple yet delicious. And I don't believe I have ever had a better waffle. The Waffle House waffle inscription is a very nice touch as well. Waffle House requires a few visits to get an idea of sizing. Pancakes and Waffles have gotten ridiculous in sizes thanks to the numerous mom and pop breakfast joints that make pancakes big enough to tarp a 747. Someone along the line thought this was a great idea, probably the same person who attends food eating contests. In reality both food competitive food eating and massive waffles and pancakes only perpetuate the fat American stereotype. It is repellent, glutinous, and flippant in the faces of those who have nothing to eat. Founded in 1955, Waffle House has 2,100 stores in 26 states, with an incomprehensible 263 restaurants in the Atlanta metro area. To put that into perspective, New York City has 197 Starbucks locations. Just get to any Waffle House you can. There's a reason why they're always busy. And bonus points for having a syrup jar and not rationing out syrup in small ramekins.

We were able to pick our table and get served right away. Servers were friendly and prompt. The place looks like any other Waffle House and the prices were affordable! Waffles were good and only cost $5! The kiddos loved their meals. We left pleasantly full!

There is no greater not more reliable dining experience quite like a Waffle House - and this one was NO exception. Despite being out of an item I wanted (the cherry syrup for my cola), the staff were amongst some if the most pleasant and delightful individuals to which I've ever had the privilege of knowing. And the food - quickly served and quality made. A SOLID 6/5 stars and it breaks my HEART that we don't have a Waffle House closer to home...

I had my first Waffle House experience at this location and could not be more delighted. This place is filled with charm and I'm a bit jealous there are non in my area. Likes - full transparency. You get to see the servers working on food. It's amazing that they are responsible for taking orders AND making food - clean environment. I have favorite restaurants back home that aren't as clean as this place - I love the decor and styling. Most chain places have dropped nice touches like tile on the wall. - great prices and filling food. I had the special plate that included grits. The waffles were nice and fluffy and the grits were perfectly cooked with a lovely buttery taste. The bacon was crisp but had chew. - Coke drinks (the Diet coke was very crisp) - our server was very friendly and mostly attentive (I probably would have asked for drink refills if she wasn't so busy). - the flatware is good too. I hate when you go to a place that has great food but the utensils are so rough! - perhaps the greatest green flag for a restaurant is the fact that my kids really enjoyed the food Dislikes - this isn't the best place to go if you have a very large group. You'll likely be split up.

My wife and I have wanted to try this place for a long time. Of course you've heard for years of this company in Atlanta which sits on every corner. Getting ready to get head back home. We were served by Jessica who was a new employee but she did great. Looking at the menu, I'm like why is everything raving over this place the menu is so limited LOL! I believe it is a bit overrated but I think it's a staple due the food is inexpensive and its cooked pretty good. They were jamming in to RnB and Hip-Hop I'm like alright now LOL! My wife and I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, hash browns and 1 large waffle. My wife's waffle was mixed with pecans, mine with blueberry. The food was good overall. Nothing special

    Jasmere S.

The vibe was great.. I love hearing music and eating at the same time. Our server, Jess, was great The good was bomb They need to bring a waffle house to Vegas The only thing I didn't like was the washroom could have been cleaner

Hash browns scattered, covered, smothered, and peppered

A bunch of us from my spin class decided to get together for a farewell brunch for one of the gals in my Cycle class. I had their Bloody Goode Time at their DT Gilbert location and enjoyed it so much that I got it again. It's a super savory drink that feels like a meal in itself. The Porch Teatime, we had green tea shots instead of Jamesame orange, came in a tiny teapot the server poured out into six tiny tea cups. It was adorable. There's also a bar space that runs along the window that separates the small dining room and the patio. There are a few tables inside as well as some bigger tables on the patio. The patio is nice with lots of shrubs right outside the rail. The murals on the wall are pretty darn cool - - they're like enlarged historic photos of the area. I love them! There's the regular loaded fries and wings, salads, and a nice election burgers. We ordered the Philly Salad and the Very Summer Salad with a side order of fries. They make their own ranch, and it is good. I will say they don't seem to skim on salad ingredients either - - the Philly salad was covered with shaved beef, and my berry salad had a lot of chicken and tons of blue cheese. The fries were delicious - - slightly seasoned and crispy. This place is clearly dog friendly. In fact the day we went there was a sweet Pitbull named Daisy who literally hopped up on a bar stool and sat there like a little angel the entire time. The bar had a dog full of water that they sat down on the counter next to her owner's beer. They also have dog biscuits to give. It made my day to see that sweet little dog hanging at the bar having a treat. This really is kind of a spot that feels like it's probably the hangout spot of many people. My family and I ordered family style so we can try everything. For starters, we ordered the milk bread, fire roasted bone marrow, spicy peanut and tomato salad, and the tuna pineapple ceviche. I might say this multiple times in my review, but the food was very delicious and the description of the food was very interesting however it all blended so good in my mouth. The milk bread was topped with a miso tomato butter with almond and kalamata. Sounds interesting right? But when you actually tasted it, it was delicious! Who knew to bring such ingredients together to make this?! The softness of the bread and the saltiness from the butter complimented it so well! The fire roasted bone marrow was served with sourdough toast with a jalapeno marmalade with demi sauce. I never had bone marrow, however I met people who either liked it or choose not to try it, but this time I decided to try it. Who knew how soft and buttery bone marrow was?! The spicy peanut and tomato salad was very refreshing, however I wished it was a little bigger in size. The dressing was a peanut dressing, similar to a thai peanut dressing salad. The tuna pineapple ceviche had pineapple with tuna served with plantain chips. It was hot in Arizona and this dish kept it very refreshing to eat. For entrees, my family and I ordered the lemongrass half chicken, campfire seabass, ancho chili glazed pork chop, and the bone in ribeye. The lemon grass chicken was served with carrots and garlic mashed potatoes with jalapeno jam. The chicken was so juicy and you can taste the lemon grass marinated in the chicken. Again, jalapeno jam? What a genius! The campfire seabass was in this chorizo broth along with couscous and vegetables. I honestly can not review much regarding the campfire seabass because I didn't taste, but per my grandma she said it was really good haha! The ancho chili glazed pork chop was surprisingly not dry! I don't really eat pork chops, but our server recommended it and she did not disappoint! The bone in ribeye was delicious!! Super juicy and flavorful! It was served with baby potatoes, arugula, and chimichurri. Filthy animal is definitely a fun spot, the decor inside made the whole ambiance very intimate.
