My wife took me here for my birthday. It was desolate on a Sunday. The waitress was friendly and helpful, the country singer was good, even the appetizers were good. The Legend steak was a disaster. It was undercooked, had no salt, and had a funky taste to it. I asked for it to be cooked more, and it was still undercooked when the waitress brought it back out. I eat medium rare steak frequently and this was under rare as it wasn't even warm to the touch the first time. For a place that highlights steak in the middle of the menu, I'm surprised they didn't do better. The waitress made excuses that their grill can only cook it that way, which is not good. read more

I traveled to Arizona from California for a training and I wanted to take my trainer to a nice steak house. When I Yelped for a good steak place, Legends came up with extremely good reviews and I knew I had to check it out. We were immediately greeted and taken to our seats where we were greeted so warmly by our server, Winnie ("like Winnie the Pooh" she said). She asked for our drink order and we both decided on a Moscow Mule and when we took the first sip, we knew this place was going to live up to its name! We ordered an egg roll appetizer that Winnie highly recommended. She did not lead us astray! She even brought us a spoon to scoop the sauce into the egg rolls. Yum!! I ordered a NY Strip steak Medium which came out cooked and seasoned to perfection (high praise from me!) The steak was served on a bed of delicious masked potatoes alongside some of the best green beans I've ever had at a restaurant! My trainer had the French dip with tater tots and he said both were excellent! Winnie convinced us to get dessert (twist my arm) and we agreed to split a piece of the chocolate cake. It was heavenly! Not too sweet, perfect layers, moist and delicious! I can't recommend the chocolate cake enough! The ambiance was perfect! Perfect lighting and decorations and everything was so clean and comfortable! This place is a MUST GO if you are in the Phoenix area! I cannot recommend it enough! The atmosphere was lively, fun, and filled with great energy all night. As for the food -- everything I've tried has been awesome. * Shrimp Cocktail - Gluten free and the shrimp are HUGE. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly chilled. * Strawberry Salad - Delicious and super refreshing. * Prime Rib (12oz) - Only available Friday and Saturday while supplies last, and I'm hooked. This prime rib has had me in a chokehold -- tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly every time. * Espresso Martini - Smooth and strong, just how I like it. Sherry, the founder, is incredible. I did not expect to walk into a 5 star dining experience but was pleasantly surprised to receive one; the staff (Winnie and Sherry) were amazing....and the food was good too! We were met at the door with a smile and a thank you for coming. Next, had our choice of sitting at the bar or in the dining area and chose a high top in the bar area. Minnie was very welcoming and offered some great advice on the menu and choice of drink. I chose a cold IPA and a fire burger, adding caramelized onions and upgrading to onion rings for an extra $2. The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly at medium, not too spicy, and served on a nice fresh bun. Would definitely order it again. My buddy ordered the Philly cheese steak and said it was delicious. This place obviously knows how to prepare and serve quality beef. He chose tots as his side and were crispy and nice. The restaurant had a nice vibe and plenty of space for large groups or casual dining. Very clean, classy, and top notch service. We enjoyed sports on TV and videos of Neil Diamond and Jimmy Buffett as we felt compelled to take the microphone and join in. Came with pureed potatoes, green beans, a bit of jus. I asked for and received very good horse radish. Show was fun, though REALLY loud. So my problem was with my prime rib. It seemed to be properly cooked, but the meat quality was certainly not prime. Over half was too tough to chew and was wasted. Not much flavor. We were with friends, did not want to make an issue, so I didn't complain. I'm sure they would have remedied the problem if I had said something. They have a big four TV display behind the stage and it looks like there's somebody up there actually playing they do karaoke there! Our service was very good. Had heard about this new place in Chandler where they have entertainment of singers while you eat. it was very modern inside and very pretty. We had been wanting wanted to give it a try for the regular dinner, but instead we attended a tequila tasting dinner! It was fantastic! Each course was very yummy and came with a drink made with tequila. and it was only $49 per person! We had a group of 12 of us and everyone loved the meal and the drinks.! This particular night the entertainment was a country music singer, which is not normally my husband's and my type of music, but he was really good!! We are looking forward to going back and trying the regular menu and seeing what other type of entertainment they have. Sunday night wine dinner was the best! I was in my GLORY! It had been 40+ years that I had really listened to Country Western music. The band was fantastic! The food was outstanding. I have a thing about cold mashed potatoes. These were nice and hot. Loved the shrimp course. So good. We have been to Legends several times for the wine dinner and are always great food. Loved the service. It was amazingly attentive. Calamari was excellent. The French dip was pretty good, but not notable. The 1/2 pound burger was, at best, less than ok. The quality of the beef was "decent" not great. Based on the taste, safe to say the burger had zero seasonings which ruined the 1/2 pound of meat. Will come back based on the service, but would not recommend their burger. We will likely stick to the appetizers if we come back. read more

On this day there were signs posted outside cuz they're still awaiting approval which they anticipate will be mid-August. Until then they may be playing something similar to what we watched during our meal, a video concert. It was a concert I would've paid to go see so that was a huge plus for ME. The menu wasnt exactly expected but it had good options. We had hoped to see some kind of HH offerings like drink specials and appetizer options. This is a place to have dinner and enjoy live entertainment. Well it will be soon. Menu, a total of four pages, is printed and slipped inside of page covers. Our entree selections: Tiger Prawns with French fries, BLTA with French fries, Airline Chicken with broccollini. Drink prices not competitive, ....yep i said that. An Arizona foodies dream! My husband and I moved to the area from Gilbert and have been wanting to try this spot! I was lured by seeing reviews stating that it was the same/former owner of Singing Pandas and that the calamari was to die for so we had to check it out. We popped in Sunday afternoon around 3 for a drink and quick bite. Upon arrival, we noticed we were the only ones there - which is always fine by me! We were greeted by Sherry and Winny (sorry if I spelled names wrong ladies) and we were instantly taken care of. I got an espresso martini, turned into two, as there was a great selection of craft cocktails and beers on tap! The menu was different than we expected but in the BEST way! The calamari was cooked to perfection and the house made sauces to dip were incredible. We also got the Mac and cheese which was so creamy and just perfect! Kisses to the chef and the entire staff. You can tell everyone here truly love what they do, from the incredible owner to the kitchen and the waitstaff, everyone truly is so happy to be there. Another incredible thing to note is that everything is made in house and from scratch and the ingredients and meat are all premium sourced so it's quality you are sure to taste! The owner Sherry is so hands on and after finding out I worked in the service industry for 15 years and my hubby works in construction/contracting, she took us on a tour of the restaurant. Really cool experience and as we were wrapping up the night time crowd started coming in and it's incredible to see this place coming to life! I'm from New York and I'm pretty picky with my food and my customer service. We have been here three times now it keeps getting better and better, new items being added to the menu. The meat and the chicken are all fresh hormone, free, top quality. The entertainment is terrific. We loved country night, and then we met Les Koel. Wow there's not much he can't preform. I was blessed to take my mom here when she came to visit everyone is treated like VIP !! The kitchen, the prep room, the front of the kitchen, It's so clean you could eat off the floor. Five star dining, five star entertaining when you get there just ask for Sherry she will get you set up. I sadly didn't get any pictures of the prime rib, but man it was picture worthy . Wow, this place is great! Our party had steak, salmon, and the airline chicken (antibiotic free). All of the food was delicious! The cocktails (smoking old fashions) were excellent, too. The owners and staff are super friendly and attentive. The entertainment was outstanding. We sat at a table right by the stage. Tonight we decided to finally try Legends....... Why did we not go sooner! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing of an experience we had. Started right from the beginning when we walked through the door: hostess/waitress was all smiles and very friendly. Waitress (name started with an I) was over the top - she was so attentive, knowledgeable about the restaurant/history/etc. and very sweet/friendly. Entertainer was very good. He walked around asking for music requests. Owner is such a beautiful person. She stopped by our table to say hello when she was told we had been to her previous place of business. Restaurant style is very open, fresh, and beautifully decorated. The bar area is also very cool with an open wine area. The food we had was so fresh and tasty. We had a legend burger with french fries and steak/cheese sub with sweet potato french fries. So many options, it was hard to decide. I can't wait to try to wedge salad and fish/chips!
