I am fairly new to the area and went to Denny's for breakfast. My server was Cary. She was extremely knowledgable about the menu and the area. Cary was able to answer all of my questions and provide me with the best service I have ever had! She was so attentive and always there when I needed her. I recommend the Denny's in Lady Lake and highly recommend requesting Cary as your server, even if you have to wait. read more

Visited around 7pm. We started out with a waitress with pink and purple hair who took our order. We ordered iced tea and it tasted funny so we told her and she said the staff was in the middle of shift change and she would make new tea, which she did and it was better. However, we only saw her a couple times after that. We had to ask other waitresses to help us for things needed. The Restaurant was in poor repair and filthy inside and out. The bathrooms were disgusting. We could hear the staff joking and laughing. There were other people in the restaurant' and they had long delays in getting food too. The delay in receiving our food was just shy of an hour. My boyfriend's fries had to be sent back and his food was not hot. My boyfriend was really surprised by the state of the restaurant since his last visit approximately, December 2025. He stated the last time he visited the restaurant was clean, food was made fast and tasted good. It is unlikely that we will be back to this restaurant. read more

Dennys was once my goto spot for breakfast. NOT any longer. The scrambled eggs weren't even cooked through, all runny inside the bacon was small & way undercooked and you get only 2 slices. Hash browns were good as well as the english muffin & coffee. Oh well, I'll try IHOP next time. read more

My name is Russell Cuddy and I have lived in Stonecrest adjacent to the Villages For over 20 years. My wife and I go out to eat often and have tried most of the restaurants in the area, Including Dennys. Perkins used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but we don't go there anymore because of their service. I have noticed that Perkins is losing customers, and I believe they will go out of business in the not too-distant future. I believe there is an opportunity here for Denny's to take over some of their business. Recently, they have been very slow to seat and take orders, and the manager told me that he was not allowed to hire any more people. He told me they only have several waiters at a time and several people working in the kitchen and that's why they are so slow and deliver cold food. I believe that is the reason that their customers are leaving them. I believe with several changes that Denny's can absorb the customers that are leaving Perkins. Here are my suggestions: 1) This is very important. Orders should be taken quickly and food delivered while hot. This has been a recent failure at Perkins and is especially true of breakfast. If nothing else the plates should be heated, 2) Hot Syrup should be provided with pancakes and waffles. I know of no one who would not like the hot syrup. 3) Perkins serves coffee in an insulated carafe which permits the customer to have hot coffee all the time without finding a server. This permits the servers to spend time on other things without refilling coffee cups. I suggest you consider doing this. 4) I also submit that you should advertise in the Local paper including special prices and especially breakfast and discounts. I hope you can implement these ideas and that they will help you increase your business. Russell Cuddy read more

It was horrible, I wouldn't recommend anyone go there!!! 1st I brought my own coffee cup, much bigger than theres so the waitress wouldn't have to keep running to my table all night. I guess she thought this meant she didn't have to come to my table at all. All night long I had to go to the counter and get her to pour the coffee. She never once came over to fill my cup. Even after the first time I mentioned it she never came over. 2nd I asked for a cup of milk for my coffee. So when I got my check she had charged me for a glass of milk. Never in my life have I been charged for milk coffee. Her reply was it wasn't creamer it was milked and we have to charge for it. For my coffee? I've been in here several nights and never had to pay for my milk for my coffee. Well they're supposed to charge you, it's milk, milk is not free. 3rd I asked for a plate of sugar. She brought me out a little bowl. That's not what I asked for I asked for a plate of sugar. So what I did was I went around to every table and got the little condiment holder and took all the sugar out of them. So when she went to clean my table there was about 10 of them she said why would you do that? I told her because I asked her to play the sugar and I got a little bowl. 4th she said I wasn't supposed to stay more than 2 hours. I was charging my electronics. I was told on another occasion when I was there I could stay up to 4:00 as long as I ordered something. So I got my usual cup of coffee. And you're not the manager and the manager told me that! 5th I asked to speak with the manager. It was about 4:00 in the morning. I was told there was no manager on duty and that he wouldn't be there till 6:00 or 7:00 the next morning. I said there's no one here to talk to? She said well you can talk to me. That wasn't going to happen! 6th so in order to conserve gas I didn't drive to 12 miles home. I just decided to sleep in my car. So early that morning around 7:00 a young man came out and slammed his hand down on my car. Of course enough to wake me up. Just wanted to know if I was going to throw the paper cup outside my car away. Like I said I've been here several times before and I've never left anything on the ground and nor was I going to. He did not have to wake me up the worst that could have happened is he had to pick up the paper cup. I know that would have stressed him something awful!! My suggestion is go elsewhere!! read more

The wife and I came in for steak dinners, around 5pm. She got the Chopped Steak dinner; I got the Sirloin Steak dinner. Our waitress Tammy A. took our orders and brought our drinks. While waiting for our orders, I watched as the waitresses brought out orders apologizing for the delay, they appeared to be short staffed, both on the dining room floor and in the kitchen. Our waitress refilled my drink and apologized for the wait. We assured her it was no problem. When she brought our dinner out, she apologized again for the wait. The food was as ordered, looked great, and tasted excellent. As a retired Manager, I could tell the manager did not know how to schedule the staff. This caused the wait times and caused the wait staff to apologize for something that they had no control over. I recommend this Denny's highly, the waitstaff are amazing. the restaurant was clean, food was delicious, Price was fair. read more

Service table good by waiter Informed me would be a considerable delay in getting food due to fact only had 2 cooks and 11:30 croud was backed up Got breakfast order for $19.98 For frence toast, 2 undercooked eggs. Almost raw bacon. Eggs were still runny whites on toped for ordered over easy. Food was horrible and way overpriced. I'll never go to Dennys in the villages again. Took 1 hour to get food. Who doesn't love Denny's in the middle of the night? This location has the loveliest servers who joined in our after party fun. We had a great time with everyone laughing. Arrived approx 11:20 this morning for a late breakfast. Restaurant was busy but not overwhelmed. Coffee brought immediately & server took our order. Downhill from there. 30 mins later plates were set in front of us, our server had no idea it was not our order. We had to point it out to her. She said oops, wrong table, proceeded to take food from us & give to diners a couple tables away. Waited another 10 mins for our food to arrive. Diff server delivered food. Appeared to be our order but with mistakes. My Cheddar & ham omelet had swiss & minimal ham( 5 bite size pieces). White toast instead of the rye that was ordered. Hubbys bacon very chewy(microwaved??) & pancakes ice cold. both of asked for crispy hash browns & they sure were !! Obviously dropped in deep fryer, lol. No one stopped by table to see how our food was. After waiting a total of 40 mins for food. I would think a mgr might stop by. Guess we won't be going back...... read more

Breakfast here is very good. Service is excellent. Had a be item that day. Strawberry stuffed French Toast. How this was good but for one thing. When you add cream cheese filling to hot French Toast, the cheese melts into a pool of cheese. Therefore the filling stuff is all over the plate. I never knew how good Denny's is. We were in the ER until 2 AM and hadn't eaten all day. Denny's was the only restaurant open so we had no choice, we were starving. First Impression: this place is old, some of the booths need repairs, the carpet needs cleaning. It took almost 45 minutes to get our order of hamburgers and chicken fingers. Arrived at 630AM as it is a 24 hour operation. Our server did an excellent job, however, our food not up to par. I ordered a cheese omelet and the cheese in the middle had not melted. I was happy to see the level of cleanliness they are taking with the recent virus scare. Surprisingly the service was still fast and very personable. The food came out hot and exactly the way I ordered it. I asked for my potatoes to be well done. The server Grace asked how well I desired them and they came out perfectly cooked. I could see the management team working with the staff assisting in the cleanup and resetting of tables. I could also overhear the General Manager coaching the team on how well they were doing and even cleaning up the salt and pepper shakers himself before removing them from the tables. I know the news and government are warning the people not to going into restaurants at this time, I at least know that this Denny's is on my "safe" list to continue to dine at. Great job! read more

Service late at night is horrible and the food sometimes is cold even when the place is empty

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. They tried for over 20 minutes to get us to pay twice for our meal! We are there last night. Our waitress was great and the food was fine. The problem came when we went to pay. My husband paid and then went back to our seat to wait for our kids to finish up. A few minutes later an employee came back and told my husband that the payment didn't complete. He thought this was strange because he saw that it came up approved. But he went back and tried to pay again. The payment came back as declined, duplicate payment. Which made sense since the payment had already been approved. The manager kept asking my husband to pay again- with another credit card, cash, or leaving an imprint of the card. My husband did not feel comfortable doing that because he saw that the payment had gone through. He also showed the manager that the payment was showing as processing on our account. After 20 minutes of back and forth and not being able to leave the restaurant, the manager started rudely telling us that we could leave they would eat the cost of the meal but now our waitress would not get a tip. We finally handed them $10 to give the waitress and left. My husband checked this morning and of course, the full payment, including tip, was taken out of our account. read more

At lunch time the store is busy but not so much so that you have to wait for a seat. The staff is also cool about doing substitutions (soup is WAY better than fries).
