Everything at Dennys is awesome. The food is so good whether it's breakfast lunch or dinner. The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance was quite not many people there but overall pretty good.

I used to live in Darien and this restaurant made me survive during my work at Loyola University Mediical center. The work was hectic and I had little time to cook. It is open 24-7. Lot of late nights , I had my meal there. Always loved their chicken noodle soup. Meat loaf or beef roast was so delicious I can have that anytime. I had my waiter Paco most of the time. He is very nice and full of humor. He brightened my sad tiring days all the time. It was my favorite place to have my late dinner for long time. I moved to a different city. But when I come back to Darien, I always had my meal there and catch up with Paco with whom I shared out good old day.

A ceiling in need of repair.

Needed a quick bite nearby my motel. Maybe it was fitting for the area, but it just seemed sort of rundown to me. A number of the false ceiling tiles were missing while others were clearly in need of replacement. For a Denny's it was also very dimly lit. Staff was friendly. Our waiter tried several times to understand my dinner companion but to no avail and finally out of impatience turned to me to get their order. Service was timely. At this point I wasn't expecting much at all from the food. Surprisingly though it was as good as it looked on the menu though slightly smaller. I had the avocado bacon burger while my dining partner had two poached eggs, chicken noodle soup, and grapefruit juice. Even if this was an area I frequented, I don't think I would ever be back.

Ultimate omelet with hashbrowns and an English muffin and chocolate milk

Right next to our hotel so it was very convenient, just a 30 second walk which is always appreciated. I never eat at Denny's so I wasn't really sure of what to expect. The inside smelled of disinfectant which I suppose is a good sign but still a bit off-putting. I got the Ultimate Omelet with added avocado and hash browns on the side. The omelet itself was very large and pretty good overall though I thought they would put cold avocado on the top instead of cooking it inside. The hash browns I got were overly salty but still edible. It was a bit pricier than I expected but it was still a better meal than the non-existent one at the hotel.

Well it's nothing spectacular but it was nothing bad either. It's been a while since I dined at a Denny's and ordered a healthy option of seafood. My only disappointment was the portions of the sides were small. Maybe Denny's is trying to make people more health conscientious by controlling portions. Other than that it is Ok. Also they did not have a slice of coconut pie which I would have ordered for desert. All they had was cheesecake which I did not care about and I am not a Cheesecake fan.

we came here christmas evening for dinner! we were seated very quickly for a group of two, it was quite busy & just got busier as time went on! the queso and chips were very good! i just wish they filled the cups up more with cheese, it was half way full. i also got eggs which were good too, just could've been a bit more warm, & hashbrowns which were good! a way bigger serving of the hashbrowns than i expected as just a side, i love the crispness of them! the pancakes were good! the chocolate banana combination was good. the hashbrowns were tasty and a little bit disappointed i received sausages instead of bacon but it was christmas so it's okay. the eggs were ok, not my favorite part of my meal. overalll we both had a very filling and good christmas dinner!

wHat has two thumbs and is the best server at Denny's in Willowbrook!!!

The pork belly, ciabatta, and balsamic were all good individually, but together the flavors just didn't work. It felt mismatched... * Colorado lamb kebab: 10/10. This is one of the more $$ entrées on the menu, but it's absolutely worth it. The portion was generous, the lamb was high quality, and the artichoke pesto paired really well with the rich, gamey flavor. The roasted pearl onions were a great addition too. I would definitely recommend this dish. * Foxtail paella: 8/10 flavorful orzo paella loaded with seafood. Definitely a sharing type of entree! Always a great time at Foxtail with great food and great service!

Everything was well-presented, and the menu offers something for both casual dining and a slightly more upscale night out. You could drive right by thinking it was a vacant building except for all the cars in the lot. The notion of vacant building is dispelled immediately upon entry. The place is busy, loud, vibrant with customers clearly enjoying the food and experience. The interior is decorated simply, with muted colors, is well lit, and clean. There are a lot of hard surfaces which makes the ambient noise level fairly high; however, it did not detract from the experience (but just be advised in case you feel this is bothersome). We were greeted warmly and though the place was packed, we were seated quickly. Despite the diner-like vibe, there is no counter, just tables and booths. Our server was prompt, very pleasant, and efficient. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The food: Large portions, well prepared, warm, savory, satisfying. The loaded Cheers omelette, with hash browns and pancakes, was more food than I could enjoy in one sitting so I have leftovers for tomorrow. Prices are in line with more reasonably priced independent eateries. A two-egg, hash browns, pancake combo is $14. This place will be an option in the future.

This place has gone through a number of makeovers over the years but it is decidedly a sports bar vibe where you enter the space and traditional restaurant in the back area. Overall a very casual and lively vibe. We waited about 15 minutes with a packed house and were seated in the restaurant portion in a very spacious booth. Our server was prompt, courteous, pleasant, and efficient--attentive but not overly so. The food was excellent with very ample portions at reasonable pricing with many options under $20. I will say they could skip the bread basket before your meal comes out and just put it into giving you a side with the sandwiches versus charging you $2 for each side added. That being said the food came out promptly, was warm, and very satisfying. Hopefully Chuck's keeps value for customers' hard earned buck in mind and they will continue to do well.

They also feature an extensive craft beer selection. I went with the seasonal Abita Bad Mother Shucker Stout, which was a fun nod to Mardi Gras and a solid stout choice for the occasion. For my entrée, I ordered the Mardi Gras Platter ($32.99). It included: * Choice of soup (I chose the seafood chowder) * Shrimp Creole * Jambalaya * Chicken Étouffée * Crawfish & Shrimp Monica * Broccoli The restaurant was busy, which is understandable for Fat Tuesday, but our food took quite a while to arrive. The soup was delivered at the same time as the platter. In my opinion, the soup should have come out first. Ironically, the seafood chowder ended up being the highlight of the meal--rich, flavorful, and well-balanced. Unfortunately, by the time I finished the soup and moved on to the platter, most of it was only room temperature. The items were layered and grouped together in a way that made it unclear what paired with what. The chicken was noticeably overcooked and lacked depth of flavor. It tasted as though Cajun seasoning had simply been sprinkled on top rather than developed into the dish. Overall, the platter lacked the bold, authentic Cajun flavor profile I was expecting. The Crawfish & Shrimp Monica was advertised as coming in a bowl but was served in what amounted to a cup-sized portion. The menu description listed Cajun Alfredo sauce, crawfish, crab, blackened shrimp, pasta, Parmesan cheese, and broccoli. After mixing in the Parmesan, I searched for the seafood components and found none--no visible crab, crawfish, or blackened shrimp in the pasta. I mentioned this to the bartender, who said they would bring some out to add in. A few minutes later, three Cajun shrimp were delivered. There was still no crab or crawfish. While the Alfredo sauce and pasta themselves were very good, the absence of the advertised proteins significantly hurt the dish. Had I ordered the Crawfish & Shrimp Monica on its own for $24.99 and received the same portion and lack of seafood, I would have been extremely disappointed. Overall, while the concept and menu sounded promising for Mardi Gras, the execution--especially at that price point--left a lot to be desired.
