After work I tried Stats looking for a quick bite to eat and they did not disappoint! The ambiance was nice. Plenty of monitors to view your favorite team playing. It was quiet and the food..... I think I ordered the best burger that I've ever had in my life!!! Lol! Seriously, it was a cheese burger on sourdough bread with jalapeños , crispy bacon and bbq sauce. It was cooked to perfection. So walking in this place was not very packed on a Saturday night. The staff was very friendly. It took FOREVER Just to get our drinks and we'll the manager even came and refilled our drinks for us bc everyone was literally out. The wings were hands down the worst overcooked wings I have ever had. Mine (Korean bbq) and someone else who got the Buffalo agreed that the wings were horrible and it was like they were over fried and then out in a warmer for a long time. The Texas burger was good. The Buffalo chicken wrap was okay but they forgot his French fries (even though you pay an extra $3.49 for French fries) Overall did not have good service nor was the food good. This bar/grill is in a strip mall. It is a pretty good sized restaurant with slot machines, a full bar and lots of tvs. We had no wait for a table as they weren't super busy. Went here to use an expired groupon and apparently if it expired, you must print it out which I had not. Luckily, we had a positive food experience, so we will just have to go back again to use the groupon. Hubby went with an Anti Hero Draft and I tried their Snow Bunny which sounded good. Snow bunny reminded me of a white Russian, but served in a bigger glass. I had a little buzz going when we left. And was a lot warmer than when I went in during cold temps. We ordered the BOM burger and the mile high nachos. The BOM (bacon, grilled onion, mushroom, cheddar) burger was truly the bomb! The thing was huge, tasty, filled with large pieces of stuff. The nachos were enough for two people to share easily, with crispy, fresh red/white chips, piled high with nacho cheese, chili, lettuce and red onions. They were really, really good. Some of the best nachos I have ever had. The waitress was on top of things, checking on us frequently and making sure we were happy. She was even pretty apologetic about the groupon. Was in the neighborhood, dropping my daughter and her date off at prom and was looking for a good meal. Google Maps view had this hidden gem listed as the "best food in the area". My fiance & I were in the area and hadn't eaten all day (it 3:30pm so we were getting really hungry) when we saw this place and decided to give it a try. The beer came out of the tap just like it's supposed to, so that was good. We ordered potato skins and they were okay, seemed more like baked potatoes cut in thirds with bacon & cheese on top. My fiance got a burger and he said it was fairly good. I got the chicken melt and it was disgusting. The chicken was more like rubbef than food. It was obviously just cheap frozen chicken that was warmed up for the sandwich. There was one bite that was so rubbery that I had to use my fingers to tear apart the chicken because my teeth couldn't bite through it. Both of us thought the pub chips were stale. I have been in Chicago here on business for 2 weeks & visited this spot 3 times and sent several colleagues but the moment I have an issue with my food the manager or whoever she is was disgustingly nasty with me. It's never any black people in this establishment and after my experience with her I now understand why. The only reason I went there was to have mussels but because I was with another colleague who had ordered food I decided to find something else to order. I ordered the bbq chicken flatbread and when I got my pizza I took a piece to eat and noticed the crust was soggy. I checked the rest of the pizza and the whole pizza was wet like someone laid the dough in liquid. I call the waitress and let her know and show her that my pizza is extremely mushy and I can't eat it. She tells the manager right in my face, "hey she doesn't like her pizza" instead of saying what the issue really was so I said no its not that I didn't like it, it's mush and I can't eat that so the manager then looks at me with an attitude and says well thats how it comes so next time you come here I suggest you don't order it and then walks off with an attitude. Rude, nasty and disgusting was this lady and my service. I will never ever visit with establishment again. She didn't offer an apology, a solution or try to accommodate me. Who wants to eat soggy pizza and it wasn't even flatbread it was pan pizza dough shaped like flatbread. And it had their old shredded dry bland chicken under the cheese GROSS. I've been here about 5 times and all have been average. The service is decent and the food is your typical bar food. What I do like is the amount of TVs if you want to watch a game. The Caesar salad was just okay. The dressing was certainly not Caesar. I got no anchovy nor garlic in it at all. It tasted like a standard oil and vinegar. However, half salads during lunch is a great idea considering their portions are gynormous. The sliders are decent as well. I actually liked the Mexican egg rolls. The Darien/Willowbrook area is seriously lacking a good non-chain local bar. When Stats first opened, I was optimistic that this place could change that. The bartenders are friendly, and the beer options are fairly diverse. However, it is simply not an affordable option for me to regularly patron here. Every time I get my bill, I'm a bit surprised at the cost of a couple beers. It seems they want to focus a bit more on the restaurant and appeal more to neighboring Burr Ridge's income over packing the seats with regulars who want a place to hang out and watch sports. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings 1000 feet south of here - their bar is always packed. One would think Stats would get the overflow of that crowd on nights you can't get a seat - that's simply not the case. On nights when the competitor is standing room only, Stats is usually half capacity. read more
