I'm a DoorDasher and I went to this location to pick up an order. A lady who was wearing a red work shirt, I'm assuming that she's the manager since she was the only worker who had that shirt color on was the one who I went to for the order. Once she saw the name on my phone, she told me that the order was already picked up by the guy who ordered it. I told her that he most likely didn't confirm that it was picked up on his phone otherwise the order wouldn't have popped up on my phone. It was then that she got very standoffish with me and started to raise her voice when she said it wasn't her problem and that I should call DoorDash. I also tried contacting the customer but the error message kept coming up whenever I would try to call or text him. The customer did eventually call the restaurant and it was the lady in the red shirt who answered. She told me that he called and said he picked it up. I wanted to talk with him but she hung up the phone right before I asked. I would have thought she would have told him to wait on the other line since I was still there. She then asked me what I planned on doing and I said I was trying to contact DoorDash so they could cancel the order. She then yelled "If that order gets cancelled then I won't get paid!" I then said that it wasn't my fault that he didn't confirm that he picked up his own order and that if I cancel it myself, it counts against me. Luckily I was able to get ahold of someone from DoorDash and they took care of me. So basically I don't want this woman to get fired because years ago, I worked in the food service and it can get stressful but there's no reason why she had to raise her voice to me. In the future, whenever you guys get a DoorDash order, make sure that the person who's picking it up, hits confirm on their phone so that there's no inconvenience on someone else. read more

Went here on a Saturday (late morning) with my kids. The Country Fried Steak was awesome and big enough I took half the meal home and ate it later (and was just as good later btw). The kids menu is done well, you can piece together different options and drinks, even an Oreo shake and it doesn't get expensive. The waitress was very nice even though she was busy. My wife and I decided to go to Denny's today around 5 pm. We have been regulars eating at this particular restaurant for a minimum of 15 years. This is the first place we dined in after COVID restrictions were lifted and throughout the pandemic, we have been ordering online and picking up dinners from them on a weekly basis. Upon entering today, we noticed a few filled booths, a couple of waiters toward the back of the restaurant and a manager at the register. The manager acknowledged us, then continued playing with papers and then answered the phone, all while we were standing there waiting to be seated. My wife(with back problems) eventually sat on the entry bench to wait. The manager finally came to seat us and we asked if we could sit in the side section. The manager, looking irritated, replied, "Yeah, but it's gonna take a while for someone to get back here". My wife and I looked at each other for a moment perplexed, and didn't even sit down. We said "Let's go" and walked out, but not before letting the manager know that after all these years, we would NOT BE BACK! With all the businesses and restaurants trying to return to prepandemic volumes and this is how you talk to repeat supporters? Not this one! read more

Baconalia. Need I say more? My server's name was Jesus and man did he save my wretched soul. He turned water into coffee and put bacon in my pancakes. If that's not doing the Lord's work then I dunno what is. The strips of bacon, that came alongside my pancakes WITH BACON IN THEM mind you, were cooked to a delicious crisp. I could've done with crispier hash browns but the over easy eggs were cooked just right; of course I put the bacon flavored table salt on them. It's Baconalia! My only regret was being too full from breakfast to partake in the Maple Bacon Sundae. It'd been a few years since I'd been to a Denny's but I was craving some type of French toast breakfast food and stopped at this location on a cold winter morning. I was solo and thought I'd get some work done on my laptop. When I arrived, parking was easy. I noticed to-go spots in the front. Not sure why, but when I arrived I had to wait a while before I was seated. There was no line. I was simply ignored. I stood around for a bit and then tried flagging a waitress down who didn't respond as I put "Excuse me" on repeat. Another waitress saw and I asked "Is it seat yourself?". She indicated it was not and apologized for the unexplainable wait. I requested a booth by the window and was cold my entire meal. The wifi connection was weak and thus didn't work for me in connecting my laptop. My server was unenthusiastically good at his job. I don't blame him. He was too good to work at this location and when I overheard him talking to other patrons about his job prospects I was not surprised. The highlight of my visit was the food. It was delicious and for $12 I had leftovers. I ordered the apple chicken sausage with pumpkin pancakes, a cup of fruit, scrambled eggs hash browns and a coffee. Did I mention how my experience was? Haven't been to Denny's in ages and overall it wasn't a bad experience. The building is fairly old, with a traditional Denny's layout, like some many other throughout the US. The staff was vary friendly and the service was great. Denny's still has their classic menu items and they've also added many new items. They seem to be fairly high on cheese, devoting an entire selection of entrees and apps to them. Overall my experience was okay. It's Denny's. read more

The food was good as expected. I mean it's breakfast any time of the day. The only downside was the service, in particular mt server. I know this isn't the Ritz but waiting 10 minutes for a water refill when there's more staff than customers in the place is not acceptable by any standard. I had the sausage skillet and eggs over easy which was amazing and sizzled for another 5 minutes. That's what I like in a skillet meal. read more

My wife and I have been frequenting this particular location for over 7 years. The last couple of years we have been going with the (2) new additions to our family. It's clean, professional, and friendly. There has never been a wait and the environment is calm (we avoid the late night drunks). The food is good. There is something for everyone. Honestly, if you ever visit this location, hope and pray you get Paco. He's the best. He's known us for over 7 years and he is attentive, funny, and respectful. He will go out of his way to make sure we get what we want and need. In fact, there was a day where he saw us pull up with the family and greeted us at the front as soon as we entered Denny's. He pointed us to our favorite spot in the back. Once we got to that particular booth, we saw that had the drinks and menus were already on the table waiting for us. I go to the bathroom, then walk back to be seated and the workers are still standing across the restaurant talking and looking at me! WTF! They must own the place and not need my money! I walked out! Cleanliness is not at the top of their priorities in this restaurant. The waitress who waited on me at the counter coughed in her hand and continued touching people's food. The bus boy touched dirty dishes, picked up utensils off the floor, all with bare hands and no washing or any regard for cross contamination. Moreover, only one of the personnel behind the counter has any sort of hair restraint whatsoever (a baseball cap worn backwards), despite several of them having long hair. The salt and pepper shakers were so dirty that they were sticky, and I had to sanitize my hands after using them; I pointed them out to the waitress and she merely moistened some rag under tap water and wipes them off without any soap or disinfectant of any kind. I tipped my personal minimum ($5) as the service itself didn't merit more since I felt like an afterthought to the waitress. read more

Oh the Willowbrook Denny's. I can't be mean about Denny's because Denny's (tho not this one) was where my wife and I had coffee on our first date in college. It's kind of nostalgic and special in a commercial kind of way. What do I like about them? You always know what you're going to get. The Willowbrook one is almost always busy; but not too busy to get a table. The servers are friendly and the food is, well, what you expect from Denny's. Think about your favorite Denny's food items: Moons Over My Hammy? Sure. The brown crosshatch hash browns. Check. Good food at late night hours? Bingo. It's not gourmet. It's not five star. But it's cheap, it's tasty, and it's always open. read more

This is a VERY well-run Denny's. At the height of the breakfast rush crowd, the staff was great and our breakfast order (for 2) was served quick, hot - and very good. Our waitress was ever attentive to refilling coffee. She even hunted me down at the cashier when I inadvertently left my umbrella in the booth we had. Gotta love a good Denny's - and this certainly is one. Wish that an entrepreneur in SE OH would figure out that what the middle-of-nowhere OH (aka Jackson, OH) needs is a Denny's. I dont usually review chains, but after my experience here I thought I would. I was on a business trip, it was a LONG day, I was tired and hungry and the first thing I saw was dennys. I was craving a club sandwich. Upon walking in I was SHOCKED at the decor. They must have done a revamp as it looked more "Ruby Tuesdays" then a diner. Everything was clean and retro-modern. Came to this location a few months back, due to the Bolingbrook location being closed from a fire. I've never received better service in my life. I don't remember my waitresses name, because like I said, it was a few month back, however she was an older lady, and we were there around 1am. There were 5 of us, she never failed to give us refills, bring our food in a timely manner. She was extremely friendly, and talked to us. I truly look for that in good service, is somebody who is personable. Anyway, she even offered us drinks to go. All of us left, extremely satisfied with our service. We left our waitress a $37 tip. I hope Denny's hires more servers like her. I have gone out of my way to come to this Denny's on many occasions, because of this one night of excellent service. Two thumbs up. read more

The one hostess is much to be desired, she never smiles and gets mad when we want to sit in Sandy's section. This is one of the better Denny's restaurant I've been to. The waitresses are always nice and helpful. We were helped by Crystal, she very attentive to our needs, and really nice. We went for a late night meal. We ordered and food, and it was out in about 8-10mins which is pretty fast. Oh and they have clean bathrooms, which is a plus. I love this Denny's location! The service is almost always excellent. Paco is the best! My friend and I go there every other week. I like that I can get a heavy meal or something light and healthy, depending on how I feel. They have really good side options like broccoli, fruit, yogurt, dippable veggies and zucchini and squash. This restaurant is also very accommodating about making substitutions and changes to meals. Most importantly for a diner, my coffee cup is never empty. read more
