Sometimes you need to replace and paint at a body shop, and other times, there is a good likelihood that Corey can fix it! He can work wonders. This past month my Sienna van was rear ended, and I had some serious dings and dents in the rear hatch door. It was such a relief to see that Corey can fix it, and I keep the original factory paint. First things first: Confidents used to have more stellar reviews, but when their business address changed, Yelp for some reason did not migrate the reviews with him. So Yelp... make things right, please. Now onto the review: I first met Corey some time in the ... mid 2000s probably. He had done some spectacular wheel work for either an old Mustang of mine or a BMW X5. I can't remember now. Fast-forward to December 2015 where I was at the end of a three-year lease on a VW Golf and had to repair its wheels, all of which had been ravaged by CHP-mandated snow chains two years prior when there wasn't even snow on the ground: the wheels kept spinning due to the reduced traction of the wire-covered wheels which totally destroyed the otherwise perfect wheels. I really wish I had before and after photos to post here, but suffice to say, it was like magic: the wheels looked absolutely indistinguishable from new. Then last month, I managed to drop two dents onto my wife's brand new 2015 Beetle. Imagine how bad I felt: not even a year old, only 8,000 miles, and bam: two dents. One (admittedly VERY small) one at the bottom of the trunk lid; another at the trailing edge of the driver's door when I swung it open into an adjacent pickup truck's rear bumper. So what do I do? I text Corey up, explain to him the door (only the door; I had forgotten the trunk), we meet up, and when I remembered and showed to him the trunk, I told him not to worry about it, we could maybe do it some other time. I returned after 15 minutes, BOTH of the dents, completely magically disappeared. Admittedly, the door dent has a virtually invisible hint of the damage that once was, but it requires getting extremely close to the car to see it, and even then, only in exactly the right sort of light. The point is, for all intents and purposes, Corey's work, as always, was magically exceptional. That, and his prices are absolutely phenomenal: $100 for both the door and the trunk. Oh, and one more thing: virtually any body shop (e.g., the incredible Barsotti's (https://www.yelp.com/biz/barsottis-body-and-fender-san-rafael-2)) or car wash (e.g., Mill Valley Car Wash) also recommend Corey. In fact, it was the MV Car Wash that first suggested him to me years ago. The point is, Corey is awesome, and on top of his exceptional skills, he's just a great guy to work with, too. read more

Corey removed a very small dent from my brand new Volvo S90 that occurred while my car was being repaired at a local body shop. I was really upset about it as it was on the right rear upper panel (very noticeable). Corey had it out in about 20 minutes and looking like new. Corey came highly recommended from another Porsche enthusiast, and I am happy to say he lived up to his billing. I am very picky about my cars, and absolutely HATE dings. They drive me nuts. Sadly I collected 4 dents from careless contractors squeezing past my car in my garage, and inherited a nasty one from the first owner - all but one were in the challenging rear quarter areas on the curvy sheet metal of a 911. Corey had all the tools and experience to fix these in less than 90 mins! I was impressed by his attention to detail in getting the repair right, it gets so old having to look over people's shoulders to nudge them to do good work. I brought my 2001 BMW M5 to Corey for removal of two bad door dings and one minor one (plus two additional small dings that Corey noticed and that I did not even realize were there). Corey did a spectacular job removing all of them. He is an artist and a perfectionist, and clearly the best of the best. Not even a hint left where the dings were, and my car is Carbon Black, which shows even the most minor disruption in a panel.
