Avoid this office. I walked out today because of their aggressive and unnecessary requirement for X-rays. My husband is a dentist, and I managed our practice for 25 years before retiring, so I am very familiar with current standards. The American Dental Association (ADA) no longer recommends a "one-size-fits-all" approach to radiographs. Instead, the ADA guidelines state that X-ray frequency should be based on a patient's age, oral health, caries risk, clinical signs, history, and symptoms. In my case: I'm 47, have excellent oral health, no clinical signs of decay, very low caries risk, and receive regular cleanings every three months. According to ADA guidelines, patients like me should have bitewing X-rays approximately every 24-36 months. Yet this office insisted I must have them every 6-12 months. That is far outside what is considered evidence-based care, and to me suggests either a lack of knowledge or a push for unnecessary billing. For those reasons, I strongly recommend staying away. read more

I was very skeptical of going to a new dentist, due to new insurance. I chose this place due to location. Need 3 fillings and 2 crown replacements. I have MAJOR needle phobia that my anxiety level was through the roof. Did one side of my mouth this past Friday and other side will be in 2 weeks. They intentionally underbid the procedure of another practice to get my business then told me i had to pay extra after the fact. Dr Reynolds had difficulty doing the work and i should have just stuck with my original dentist. I would have saved money and received better care. Don't trust the blonde at the counter, she is very fake and will not share results by line item to further deceive you. It reminded me of a car dealership experience with an arbitration clause. It's been about 4 yrs when I first moved to AZ. I was looking for a new dentist. On consultation I was told I needed extra care due to deep pockets which of course meant more out of pocket costs for me. I have never been told I had deep pockets in the past so I went to another dentist office. I in fact did not require the extra care that Tru Dental had recommended. Dr. Reynolds was a huge help getting my teeth back in great shape. I had a few cavities and needed a crown, and he handled everything with care and expertise. He's extremely pleasant, timely, and most importantly, highly competent. This place is terrible, stay away. The care I received here, for crowns was sub-par at best. The dentist was rushed, sweating and bouncing around between exam rooms. I still have a gap where one crown meets my gumline. Another crown didn't fit right, so instead of stopping and ordering a different one that fit, he started to grind down the adjacent healthy tooth to make the crown fit. I asked what the hell he was doing, and he finally stopped. The business aspect is unethical in my opinion as well. A lot of bait and switch ioccurs. Also, the dentists are rushed and overworked, and there is a ton of turnover. I went there for just over a year the entire roster of dentists had turned over in that time. If you value your time, money and teeth stay away. read more

I have never written a review of a business before but experienced a total bait and switch today at TRU Dental Peoria. They send a post card offering new patients a $59.00 Teeth cleaning, exam and ex-ray. I had an 11:00am appointment and they kept me waiting for 45 minutes. Had to fill out 6 pages of documents as well. Then before the cleaning and x-rays they said the cost would be $480.00 of which my insurance would cover half, so I would ONLY owe $240.00 for something that was advertised to cost a total of $59.00. So not only would I have been ripped off, so would my insurance company. And they were somehow shocked when I walked out. read more

Dr Ward was great, but he retired. Get a second opinion on treatment due to the high cost of care at this office. The insurance estimates the front desk staff provided me were incorrect for multiple treatments, resulting in bills and more bills... even after treatment had concluded. Tried out this office since it's close by. Not only did I have to wait almost 30 minutes past my appointment for a cleaning but was also given an outrageous. I would warn you to be careful and double check your billing from this offfice. I am new to the area and went in for a consult on a possible bridge or implant. Was quoted over $3000 even with insurance coverage. I called insurance to go over the coverage and they advised me to get a second opinion as what we were being charged didn't make sense. I know they paying out-of-pocket a bridge. An implant would be much more, but the reason that I went with his office is good night in network coverage it should've been significantly less. This office was completely in network and it should not have been this much. Ended up getting a second opinion, and was fully covered. Only had to pay a $50 deductible. Same exact procedure and material. Prior to getting a second opinion I tried to talk to the office three separate times about the billing. I asked them if they could call insurance to verify everything was correct, asked them to double check, I even explained to them after the second opinion, I was getting a quote for much less. They could have cared less and did not care that they were billing incorrectly. I normally would not post a review like this, but after giving them several opportunities to try to figure out the situation and being met with complete indifference. I feel it's important to warn others to check your billing as their office being unable to do. read more

This place is not worth the visit, they are a total bait and switch, Mediocre work from the doctors who then try to sell you different products. Then comes the office manager trying to book more visits and state you need complete dental or you are going to risk losing on your benefits, or your insurance rates will go higher. As a first time patient I showed up 10 minutes early for my 10:30 AM appointment. I filled out the paperwork they required and gave them my insurance. I then proceeded to wait 45 minutes. At 11:15 I asked any status on when I would be seen, the front desk lady said let me go see if we're ready for you. She comes back and says we're almost ready for you. I asked how long the exam would take and she said at least an hour. I told her that I had been waiting 45 minutes already, and I was upset about it, and she proceeds to say " well your appointment was only at 10:30." I said I've been here almost an hour, and no one has said anything to me. It's just baffling considering I just signed paperwork saying there would be a $45 charge if you missed your appointment or were 15 minutes late, yet they had absolutely no respect for my time. If I hadn't said anything, who knows how long I would've been waiting there for, but I left. There's absolutely no reason why I should've been there waiting almost an hour and then have to sit through an hour. I don't appreciate my time not being respected and 45 minutes ridiculous. I had scheduled this appointment two months prior, and they called me four times to confirm that I would be there, which I did confirm. The time management is extremely unprofessional, and the lack of respect was disappointing. read more

The office manager has no clue what she is doing, she was telling me all of the information I have about my benefits were incorrect, also told my wife "why are you making that face? You must be confused" because we have no idea where she's getting her erroneous information from. Not only was I overcharged, but both my wife and myself were told we were wrong. I had to contact my insurance carrier on several different occasions to reconfirm information that I already knew was to be fact, after reiterating this information with this so-called office manager she neglected to take any ownership in her mistake and blamed it on my insurance company. My insurance company didn't tell me she did and her calculations and percentages were not accurate. She showed no empathy and didn't even consider apologizing on any level, until I mentioned I thought it was comical to say the least that I have yet to hear I'm sorry! To say the least I would not recommend this place to anybody, and I have canceled all future appointments due to these errors. read more

I recently broke a tooth, and it had to be replaced with an implant . I could not be happier with the results Dr. Ward and his assistant Judy made sure that I was comfortable at all times . Dr Park is knowledgeable enough but just after INS $$! The hygienist isn't very good and extremely rough!! Seems like most patients get told they need their gums scraped. Tried a new dentist Tru Dental only for the convenience of a closer dentist been consistently going to the dentist four times per year had work done all along the way and suddenly Tru Dental provides a laundry list of work needed on the first visit. Validated back with my highly reviewed and highly rated previous dentist to get a staggering different viewpoint. Everyone is different my regular dentist is very conservative so Tru Dental must be SUPER conservative with treatment or they are full of shit. I heard this is a common occurrence when changing dentists. Sad my opinion would be SKIP Tru Dental. -Peace read more

My daughter went to Tru Dental for the first time last month. She has never had a cavity as an adult. The dentist told her she had 7 cavities and it would be $2k. We got a second opinion with my dentist who I have been going to for 20 years. She had NO cavities! Tru Dental was planning on drilling holes in her teeth with no cavities and charging $2K for nothing!!!!! This is fraud! read more

From my first phone conversation with Laura who was knowledgeable, patient, kind, and understanding to my most recent cleaning with helpful and personable Carly, TruDental has been a Tru blessing! My teeth are in very competent and skilled hands with Dr. Park. I wasn't sure if a root canal on one tooth was needed and due to his skill and knowledge, a crown instead was the outcome-yay! And Dr. Park was able to treat me in house without having to send me to another specialist- double yay! Also, Dental Assistants Anthony and Holly (hope I got their names correctly) were friendly, kind, competent, and helpful. I'm always getting flyers in the mail for TRU DENTAL but up until about a week ago, I haven't had any dental issues. I called the office number on the post card and they got me right in, same day! Sure enough.. had a cavity in between my wisdom tooth and the next one. Wisdom tooth has to come out pronto.. there was a root sticking out. So, he sent me to an Oral Surgeon. It's out m, it's been a week. ZERO problems! I thought I had a cavity in the front or my mouth but Dr. Easton kinda educated me on how the nerves wrap around to the bottom front too.. which is why I couldn't tell him exactly where I thought my pain was coming from. He immediately diagnosed me with and infection in my gums and mouth with the swelling on one side of my face Got me started on antibiotics. Super nice guy. Very professional. I will continue to go back to him. The facility is beautiful. ALL of the women in the office are just so so nice, fun, professional. Overall great experience!!! He does refer his patients to oral surgeons, depending on what's needed. The best place is Peoria Oral and Implant Surgery. It's right around Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant. Behind Sprouts. One of the worst dentist offices I ever been to! Long wait times. Felt like the employees had no structure in office while working with patients. Don't bother with trying to get a mouth guard unless you want to take several trips back just so the Dentist can BS you. Also the room they put you in is like the worst room to be in due to the sun beaming on you make sure bring sunglasses. It was all just Blah!
