I recently moved to Arizona and I am petrified of the dentist but I needed a cleaning. I received a flier for $25 for a New Patient visit at the Dental Brothers so I gave it a shot. When I went into the office I was pleasantly surprised, it was very nice, clean and spacious. I was greeted by Beverly who was so warm and sweet, first she showed me around the office, took my X-rays and went over my medical history. When it came time to clean my teeth I got a little nervous and I told her about it, she was very calming. As she proceeded to clean my teeth I became more relaxed, she was very gentle but also not too gentle where she didn't clean, she was absolutely amazing. One of the brothers came in to check in and look at my teeth, he was a handsome, nice young man. My teeth felt so good when everything was done, $25 later. They really took care of me and I am so happy I found them. I love Dental Brothers! I started coming here a few years ago after seeing they specialize in stress-free dentistry and offer sedation options. I knew at the time I needed the early gum disease type of cleaning which is a bit lengthy and a little uncomfortable. On my first visit I was impressed with the soothing atmosphere of the office and the level of customer service from start to finish. The hygienists are very kind and it seems like they all have worked there a long time. There are blankets and other comfort items available, and they can play movies or nature documentaries on the screen over your head for a distraction. I did have the more in-depth cleaning and opted for nitrous. Both during this cleaning and every exam and cleaning, the hygienists have been careful to ensure you're comfortable and they don't hurt you. And with regular care (just 2x a year) at Dental Brothers, I no longer need the special gum cleaning! I've seen the same dental brother - Dr. Dan I think - each time (ie the actual dentist, and yes, they are really brothers) and he's always been nice and not pushy about anything. I'm all for convenience and while searching for a dentist over five years ago, Dental Bros. (DB) happened to be very close to our home located on 28th Street near Cactus. However, since I started this review a few months ago, after 35 years at the 28th Street location, DB has merged with SMILE and is now located on 10209 N. 35th Avenue, Unit 129, Phoenix. At DB, I got lucky and found two dentists with optimal skills, Dr. Tal S. Gafni and Dr. Tim Chaffee, both DMD. They also have an office in Mesa. I've had extensive dental work performed in '24 and '25 that are thoroughly explained to me including my first tooth implant and a 3-tooth molar bridge. Dr. Tal ordered nitrous oxide without my request for bridge work and I usually must ask for it for a charge but this was included. Thank you Dr. Tal because the 1.5 hour session was a breeze. I purchased nitrous for the implant but Dr. Tal talked me through the procedure and it was almost over when I asked for it (no charge). The best hygienists, Lisa, and Carol (been there 35 years before moving/merging) keep my choppers in tip top shape 3-4x/yr. I love and have been using for five years the PreviDent 5000 mouthwash that sells for $20, dry mouth or regular). Dr. Timm took care of my state of the art upper mouth guard that fortunately was covered by insurance. My entire set of teeth was digitally scanned to give me the perfect fit. Because I have poor dental insurance coverage, DB/SMILE has given me discounts when removing teeth, on crowns, implant and bridge, etc. If you do make an appointment and reference my name, Jeanne B., we each receive $50 for the referral. If you're in need of top notch dentists, please give SMILE a call and ask for Dr. Tal or Dr. Timm. There are additional dentists at this SMILE location who I've not yet had the pleasure to meet. The quality of service and care I received at Dental Brothers has been unmatched by any other dental practice I've been to in the past. The receptionists are so welcoming, quickly offering a cup of water (with or without ice), and if you're a first-time patient, your hygienist will give you a tour of the office and ask you questions to personalize your care. My hygienist was either incredibly well-trained, using high-end cleaning tools, or both -- I genuinely barely felt a thing throughout my cleaning! She was incredibly kind. And I love the extra touches of putting the TV on the ceiling (makes SO much sense) and offering blankets, lip balms, music, cell phone chargers, and more to guarantee comfort. 100% will be back (as long as my next insurance plan covers them haha). read more

This is a SIX STAR place! AMAZEBALLS! If you think customer service and customer focus is dead, then you need to go to Dental Brothers. From the moment you walk into the warm and comfortable waiting room, to the cheerful and friendly reception staff (for me it was Naja - what a delightful and efficient young woman!) you are welcomed. Naja offered me water and let me know where the restroom is should I need it. But service doesn't stop at the front desk, my dental hygienist, Bev, was also very warm and welcoming and my new patient visit began like NO OTHER. She gave me a tour of the offices and told me a little about their practice and doctors - pics and certificates posted on the wall. Settled into her room, she handed me a welcome gift - WOWZA, who does that?! (No, not the post visit toothbrush/toothpaste.) Then we reviewed the new patient paperwork I filled out and talked about their company values and she asked which was most important to me along with my goals for my dental care. She even showed me a menu of comforts they offer. My cleaning was top notch. She informed me throughout and made sure I was comfortable. Frosting on the cake - when Dr. Dan came in, rather than get right to it like he was in a hurry to bill me, he sat down across from me and took a min to visit. Bev explained to him how the cleaning went and we reviewed X-rays, etc. before he completed the exam. I've never felt so valued and taken care of in a medical office of any kind ever. This place doesn't just post some pretty company values on the wall THEY LIVE THEIR VALUES. If you want an experience that is far different than the usual you're an inconvenience and they can't wait to prescribe, sell you something, or get you out the door quickly, then you're in for a treat with Dental Brothers. This could (should?) be the MODEL for how to treat customers/patients. I couldn't be more thrilled. This is definitely my new dentist. read more

I scheduled an appointment to have a deep cleaning. I had xrays, exam, talked to Dr etc etc, they wanted me to meet with orthodontist so come back. No cleaning at all and I need a deep clean!! I was upset then as they should've told me when I scheduled the appt no cleaning would be done. I call back today to schedule a cash pay deep cleaning as I need my teeth cleaned. I was told I would need to come back for have another assessment aka waste of my time and then.... they will schedule the cleaning. I asked just to give me the total amount as they already have my records and know I need a deep clean. The lady argued back and forth and then finally said what's your email. I'll email it to you. Sooo if I had the option to email me a quote in the beginning then WHY couldn't they just do this the in the 1st place vs arguing with me at all??? Such disappointment. If I do back, it's soley because of the hyngentist. Going to the dentist is stresful enough, let alone deal with terrible service. Damn... I'm just trying to get my teeth cleaned. Update.. the email I just received with my quote for a deep clean was $20,000. Because it included ALL the work, implants, etc etc, when I just want my teeth cleaned. My GOD why is it so difficult to get just a teeth cleaning from me? I don't want braves, I don't want implants, I'm self pay... and yet y'all still want me to come in another time before scheduling a deep clean??? For what??? So you can continue to take more money from me?? I will NEVER go to this place again over today's interactions. HORRIBLE FRONT DESK AND I MEAN HORRIBLE!!! read more

I had a rather long and negative review on this business because I felt they did not fulfill their obligation to complete my dental work. Today I met with Dr. Dan and explained how I felt and how I was simply unable to pay any more. I was told that he really wanted to complete the work for me and that he would only charge me for product if I would let him complete the job. I was touched by his proposal and agreed to work with him. He, also, said I would have 5 years to pay off whatever fees I would be charged. The reason for the three stars is that I still don't know how much more this will cost me and this is the second time I was asked to pay more for what I thought was an all inclusive agreement. I found her to be rude and patronizing plus I had to call my insurance myself to correct this girl that my insurance does cover the treatment. So far so good as recommended by several office associates. I was greeted with a gift bag with a present. Very nice touch . Everything is done in house . They have a very kind experienced dentureolyligist on staff . He was very considerate of my gag reflex when he made my impressions for the dentures. Doing the bottom was no problem. I'm very sensitive to gagging so he was able to numb the top of my mouth to do the top impressions without a hitch. I was personally greeted by both principles Dr. Dan and Dr. Tal . That's how they got the name Dental Brothers. The estimate I got to perform all the work was very reasonable compared to my other estimates. I never write a bad review and even though I had a bad experience at the Mesa office, it wasn't until today when my endocrinologist ( did what I asked Dental Brothers to do when I was there a couple of months ago and she did it without me asking. I suffer from mild Dementia so when I go to a drs office, I go alone and ask the staff to take notes of the visit. Dental Brothers was the first office to refuse my request. I explained to her my condition and told her I would not remember the visit instructions. She shrugged it off and I left. Today, my endocrinologist (the Dr) volunteered to take notes of what I needed to do (without me asking). What a shame the dental assistant lost a new customer for her employer. read more

Trash. These people offer a NEW PATIENT deal for $25. I made my appointment and was told I would be able to claim the new patient deal. I came in and they told me that I have been to the office before back in 2015/2016 (i don't remember but not important) and would not honor the NEW PATIENT deal. I told them that I am a NEW PATIENT as they have a completely new doctor at this location. So wouldn't that make me a NEW PATIENT?? The deal isn't specific to the first time you come to the location. PLUS - My parents and sister happened to have their appointment a few weeks before me and they too had been to the office back in 2015/2016 but they honored the NEW PATIENT deal for them. My experience at this office has been amazing so far. I recently went in to see if one of dentists would take me on as a new patient since I recently moved to Mesa, and I am a patient that has had a TON of previous dental work... so I have been in many different dental offices and seen many different dentists before but I have to say, this office has definitely given me the best experience I have had when it comes to professionalism, cleanliness, and ensuring their patients are comfortable. I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Stephanie Troglin, and she is probably one of the kindest dentists I have came across. She is very kind to me as well as other staff members in the office which I enjoy seeing very much. She takes her time in getting to know your dental history/current situation, and she is very efficient in answering any questions or concerns as clearly as possible. During my first procedure getting numb I barely felt ANYTHING during the injection. I will say, I am not a person who is typically phased by the pain of dental procedures but this experience impressed me a ton. I am very confident that I am in good hands being treated by her. Other staff members I had great experiences with are: Cladette, Jackie, Darae, Alyssa, and Tandy. All of them are amazing, I have only had great experiences speaking with these staff members. Tandy was the first I met, and she was extremely clear and kind during our time together, and she definitely went above and beyond for patient care and customer service, thank you Tandy. I wanted to take some extra time in writing this review because I have seen a couple bad reviews before going into the office, but if you're considering this office I wouldnt pay too much attention to those few reviews. I can confidently say If you can communicate to any of the staff members your concerns and worries, you will be in good hands and they will definitely do all they can to help. Just a really frustrating invisaline experience. My teeth were relatively straight to begin with but was still over a year process. My front teeth were in line until the last tray it seemed like then all of a sudden my front tooth is angled forward and I have to get rescanned for a whole new set of trays making this experience even longer. read more

So thankful for Dr. Dan & Dr. Tal! I've been going to the office for the last 4 years and I've never experienced anything like this before ... they care so much, they educate you, they listen, they treat you like family. I've had dental problems since I was 5 years old due to family genetics . I have 14 crowns , 3 implants and two sets of bridges all by the age of 34. Horrible dental work from prior dental offices in the past ... and I've been searching for a long time for an amazing Dental place due to all the trauma caused from the past. A good friend of mine recommended me to Dental Brothers and I've finally found my "home". Ive had few of my crowns and implants replaced and never been happier! What an awesome experience! Nothing like other dental offices I've been to. I found out about Dental Brothers through an advertising paper in my mailbox, so I scheduled my appointment as a first-time patient for a cleaning (which it was just $25). Getting there is easy cause it's located very close to the 60 highway which makes it convenient if you don't live in Mesa. The front desk ladies were very welcoming, they had me fill all the papers and in less than 15 minutes I was in the room with the hygienist. Julie took care of my teeth today as well as Dr. Timm and I have to admit, they didn't rush me out of the office like other dentists did in the past but they instead, took the time to assert any questions and concerns that I had. Here, people care about their patients. Besides the standard x-rays, they also checked for any "pre-cancer" signs in my mouth as well as tongue and jaws health. It was great to have both the hygienist and the dentist go over any little detail to assure optimum health of my teeth. A very cool aspect of this office: there's a tv screen on the ceiling so the patient can watch tv and relax during the visit. I happened to watch a whale documentary on Netflix that almost functioned as a sort of anastecia. I was calm and relaxed the whole time, the sensation of pain was minimum. As a first-time patient, I got a welcome card, a tooth brush and tooth paste to take home. The regular cleaning fee here is only $69, which makes it very competitive comparing to other offices. I would like to share my experience with Dr. Tal Gafni from Dental Brothers. Almost a week after having a crown installed by another dentist, i called Dental Brothers for a second opinion. Dr. Gafni, over the phone, guessed what went wrong already. Nevertheless he invited me to come for a visit, was very fair with his pricing (knowing I've already paid an arm and a leg for previous treatments), did x rays and made himself available for any followup question or concern. He prescribed meds, took the time to check on me (after hours) and overall was caring and personable in ways you can't find anymore. My whole family have been patients for over 6 years and we love it. They recently moved to a new building within the same plaza and the place is beautiful. Service has always been 5 stars. Both my husband and I had our wisdom teeth removed. We required surgery and they took great care of us. Definitely recommend doctor Dan to anyone. Where do I begin! Walking in as a new patient I was greeted by the wonderful receptionist. She was very kind and offered water while I waited. From there, the hygienist gave me a tour of the facility and background about the owners. She was also extremely friendly and did a great job with my cleaning. When I sat back in the dental chair, I was surprised by a nice pillow! I was then given a new patient gift bag which included a very cute mug and pen. For the first time ever, I don't mind going to the dentist and I've had to have extensive work done. Do yourself a favor. I was always afraid to go to the dentist because of my past bad experiences. I've been going through pain for a cracked tooth and 2 fillings have falling out and 2 wisdom teeth in which one is already out. One of my fillings from my past dentist have to get replaced 3x because it kept falling off and they charged me every time. I also have bone loss on my bottom two front teeth from periodontal. I knew I need I needed 2 teeth removed, I did it have the money for it as I just moved to Arizona. I had gone through pain for a year from my cracked tooth. So I said enough was enough, I don't like feeling this pain no longer and decided to go get it done. I've been saving and finally approved for credit care. I found dental brothers on Yelp and got a flyer in the mail. I made an appointment at first just for the infection and said you know what let's get everything done. I was so nervous with a lot of anxiety. My first experience was very nice they have a nice clean office. The front desk ladies were very friendly and helpful. The lady that called me in took me around for a tour. They make their own crowns, flippers, bridges in the office so I thought that was amazing. I've never seen that before. I only got estimated for the 2 root canals, and 2 wisdom to be removed and decided I actually wanted to go ahead and do everything so I made a 2nd appointment. The second appointment was a great experience as well, the time there was a different lady (I'm sorry for not remembering names) she was the one that's going to do the deep cleaning and remove the calculus. The dentist Dr. Tal discussed everything and an option to have 2 teeth removed for my bottom front teeth and get a flipper or bridge with deep cleaning for periodontal. I decided to get a bridge course. He gives great advice and options that would be best and affordable for me. So the third appointment was made for surgery it was for 2 wisdoms, 2 tooth canals with crowns, deep cleaning and 2 teeth removal with bridge. Temps of course. It's surgery day (it was yesterday from this date) I was nervous and filled with anxiety. I also knew I was going to wake up and be aware for some reason my subconscious would tell and I was thinking about for days. Not a good idea for me but I'm only human. Your suppose to fast for 6 hours prior to surgery but I fasted 10hours. I'm use to fasting it's a great for healing the body and mind I. General. There was another lady that brought me in she was friendly and I found out she's also from California too. She did all the moldings. Everyone I've meant came and said hi to me which was very nice it made me feel comfortable. They also gave me a blanket to make sure I was comfortable. I got to meet Dr. Dan and like everyone else he was nice and friendly and told me the routine he was going to do. I got an iv sedation and was in and out of sleep. Just my experience my body wanted to wake up and see because I was curious lol. It didn't hurt at all I May have said, "ow" but it wasn't my anything painful. I also do remember everything , I guess I'm just built different. Surgery was done, and it was amazing and I felt great. I wasn't able to do the wisdom because it was 7 hours in and they can't give me any more drugs, which I don't mind and I do appreciate them being cautious for the patients. I didn't have much bleeding, I was up and walking fine. I just felt the numbness on my mouth but I felt normal after that. When the numbness went away I just felt a very tiny pressure from the bridge it didn't hurt at all. I took meds for the infection as directed. I did eat mash potatoes with gravy that night it was cooled down and brushed my teeth very lightly and didn't feel the need to take pain meds because I didn't feel pain at all. I woke up this morning and which by my surprise I felt no pain whatsoever. I feel good actually. I think they did an amazing job. I definitely recommend Dental Brothers, they are very friendly and accommodating to the needs of their patients. They treat high anxiety patients which is a plus for me. I also remembered all instructions they have told me after my surgery. As I do know my significant other will forget some details. Overall, I had the very best experience, I've ever had at a dentist office. They did amazing! So thank you to the dentist at Dental brothers and their staff. I do apologize if this is long but I know there are others out there who are afraid to go to the dentist like I did.
