I visited this dental provider for treatment of a fractured tooth. I was told that they had spoken with my insurance, received pre-approval, and that I would only owe a $X copay. I waited for two hours while they supposedly obtained this pre-approval. After paying the copay, I received the procedure. However, I was later sent an invoice stating that my insurance had rejected the claim. When I contacted my insurance company, I learned that the dental office had never actually obtained pre-approval. When I confronted the office about this, they claimed it was a "pre-determination," not a pre-approval. I have all of this documented in emails from them. Please be cautious--my experience suggests they may provide misleading information and engage in questionable billing practices. read more

I received dental care in this facility in June 2022. Paid my full invoice on the way out. One year later, in July 2023 I received a bill for $609, no details other than the bill is 90 days overdue. I refused to pay. They submitted the bill for collection and in January 2024 a negative remark was added to my credit which took my rating down from 837 by 120 points. I called my insurance company at that time and was told that the dental facility filed a claim of $1178 four months after the claim deadline and was denied. They decided to cut their loses with me. I called the credit bureaus and in less than 30 days received a reply from Experian stating that my complaint was investigated, found to be accurate and the negative remark removed. I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint with them. The wrote to me just today that there has been no response from Dental Care at Trinity Lakes. I posted the ordeal on Next Door and found out that many others have experienced similar situations. Seems that this is a common practice in Florida where the majority of the population are seniors. read more

Had covid run through my house. We have 5 kids so it took a month to run its course. This office was NOT understanding and would not allow me to reschedule. Not good with kids. (visits had no videos to distract them, hygenist was not child-friendly) Tried to say my 8 year old had cavities in every tooth! REALLY? We had a second opinion and needed 1 tooth filled. Plans change and they don't inform you. I started going and I was SUPPOSEDLY a confirmed in Network insurance Florida Blue plan. We started their deep cleaning in May 2022, after discussing we were well covered and never had a deep cleaning before. I always go to the dentist twice a year before moving here. My wife and I had a crown repaired and I had a filing and all went well. Until one day my wife goes in for, what we asked for a cleaning. When done she is told to pay a large bill, surprised she said for a covered cleaning. They told her yes because it was the first one of the year. That didn't go well with me either so I called to discuss the concern and was told, oh you have a out of Network plan. I checked with Florida Blue and they said that they are in network. When Florida Blue called over they were told my plan was out of network since January 2022. Remember my bills were not starting to sky rocket until January 2023. Also I was covered by insurance just fine beginning May 2022. Also they said your cleanings are a periodontal maintenance now, after the deep cleaning and you don't have a choice to go to regular cleaning until the Dr says so. Oh and by the way your going to give us $286.00 and you don't have a choice. They finally said sorry we didn't specifically tell you about the out of network thing but we are still keeping your money. This took a long time back and forth with the insurance and dentist and I will NEVER go there again!!!! I advise you to be very careful if you decide to give them your money. I have been going to the dentist as an adult for 45 years and I have never been treated this way. In closing, I have never written a review and this was important to do. I was a patient and kept getting charged for cleanings, the called it periodontal. I have been having my teeth cleaned for many many many years now and the cleaning was nothing special. I brought up my concern and was told i had no choice, so my two free clean I should get, they wanted to me to pay for them. The office manager was a nasty woman, I use woman to be respectful. I now go somewhere else and the dentist told me my gums and teeth are in great shape continue doing what you are doing. So Dental Care of Trinity lied and charging from me for unnecessary work, that wasn't even being preformed. RIPPING ME OFF!!! Dr. Todd and his team are very proficient in their dental care. Everyone from the hygenist to the dental assistant was comforting, amusing, and informed you of what they were doing. We are fairly new to the area and, thankfully, my wife found Dental Care of Trinity Lakes. Our dental visit has been the best experience to date. The entire staff is very welcoming and they provided top notch customer service. We had our bi-yearly check up and found that I had some cavities. They were able to take care of me the same day. No pain and very effective. I also had my 10 year old daughter and 4 year old son with me. Typically my daughter is very scared of dentist but they made her feel very comfortable. My son had to have a cavity fixed as well and he did awesome. Dr. Todd, Kim, John, and Alejandra helped ease the discomfort my kids had, which I appreciated very much. Dr. Todd truly cares about his patients and he makes sure that his patients are completely satisfied with his office. He is gental and diligent. My son had to come back to today to fill a cavity and Dr. Todd and Kim did such an exceptional job, he didn't even know he got a shot. They took their time making sure he was comfortable and at ease. Things have changed at this dentist! Was great when I first started going there but it went down hill. You book with your hygienist and they change you to another person. To many problems to deal with when going to a dentist. Staff changes etc. Trying to constantly sell you something for your teeth. This became to annoying for a dentist visit. read more
