He ended up with tons of cavities and one of the teeth is decaying so this year (2021) we made appointments for the regular cleaning with his dentist, after the visit we were recommended to this place Greater Boston Smile Pediatric for his his tooth decay. We did come for consultation and after a few months we can get his teeth straighten out (one is taken out and the other 8 is crowned for his own good). We're so worried to see to see him going through the whole process because he had to take the med for the procedure and he wasn't himself til it wears out (a good 3-4 hours later). He had early appointment and left around noon. He's back to normal around 5pm and we're pleased with the results. The doctor even called around 8pm to check on him and thanks for trusting him to have my boy in his hands. Then staffs are very helpful. You can't find any place like this. Highly recommended! Hygienist Lisa was awesome with a hyper, cabin-fevered kiddo, giving names and "kid-friendly" applications to the entire cleaning process (my fave: Mr. Thirsty for the mouth vac). Any discomfort or unease from my boy melted away with her engaging conversation and demeanor. Thank you Lisa. Dr. Heather was direct and didn't try to upsell X-rays, procedures or anything - just straight-forward advice for the next six months of a constantly changing PreK mouth. Plus, he got an invisible ink pen, a Spider Man toothbrush, bubble gum toothpaste and floss sticks on the way out! Where'd the ink end up? My coffee cup and his nose, mostly. After we were seated, forty minutes after our appointment time, an assistant asked whether nitrous oxide would be used, which I declined. The dentist then entered the room without washing her hands and did not introduce herself or confirm my son's identity. She did not explain that she intended to proceed with an extraction. She briefly referenced a "bite block" without clarifying the nature of the procedure. Without obtaining informed consent, the dentist administered Novocaine and exited the room, again without washing her hands. After the injection, an assistant presented an iPad for consent. I asked what I was being asked to sign and was told to "read the iPad." The dentist then returned and extracted the tooth. Post-procedure instructions were provided only after the extraction was completed. At no point prior to Novocaine administration or extraction was informed consent obtained. Additionally, I observed a lack of hand hygiene upon entry and exit, which was concerning as the dentist continued to see other patients. I raised these concerns during the visit. My feedback was dismissed and met with explanations rather than acknowledgment.

We hyped up the idea of going to the dentist, starting a couple weeks before the visit, and telling him that brushing his teeth at home was the way he'd end up getting a balloon at the dentist's office. The waiting room is filled with exactly the kinds of toys he loves, so he was instantly happy to be there. The dental hygenist was very friendly and sweet, helping him settle in to the big chair while explaining to us some basic concepts of healthy diet and how it affects teeth. We don't have a TV and don't allow screens but they brilliantly have a projector above the chair - so I'm not sure if this would be as enchanting for a kid who is used to TV but for our son, he was fascinated. It distracted him enough throughout the visit so there was no fuss, no resistance...full cooperation as his teeth were counted. The dentist and hygienist both sing as they're doing different procedures. They let him feel the electronic tooth polisher on his finger before polishing his teeth. I'm so glad we started him early and hope we can continue to keep on top of his dental hygiene. I highly recommend you bring your young child(ren) here.

I love everything about this place from the moment you walk in…read moreand greeted by the receptionist, the small play area with the little house and small tablets for the kids to play with while they wait, and just walking to the back where you're being seen. It's actually an open area with about 3 chairs for the kiddies to be examine (there are exam rooms behind doors as well but this is what you'll see once you go back ) and every seat has a TV place on the top of the ceiling so that the kids can watch (as distractions and/or for them to feel more at eased) while being examine , which I think is a brilliant idea! . The place is very clean, walls colors are bright and everyone always greet you with a warm smile. The doctors and assistance are always helpful and gentle with my toddlers even though my kids are throwing fits and crying. I would highly recommend taking your kids here! The environment is great! I wish my kids pedi office were like this .
