I was looking for a new place for dental care. I had a lot of work to be done, because my old dentist missed so much and caused me many problems. I sat down with them and we made a plan. I hated to even smile because two teeth in front were turning brown and I had a bridge that didn't line up with my teeth and the color was off. Dr. Kirshenbaum worked on them and we capped them and matched them to the bridge color. She made sure that my caps lined up with the bridge and they are all the same color. Now I have pretty teeth and I love to smile. I have had other work done by the other dentist and they were super nice and did good work. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I just love this place and all the people working there. They did everything to make me feel comfortable . If you're looking for an excellent place to go, this is it. You'll be glad you chose them. I was so proud of my new 3 tooth bridge until it fell out and caused the two good anchor teeth to decay. Now I have a real mess and Dental Excellence does not stand behind their work. I'm on my own to find someone who can clean this mess up. Dental Excellence said they would try to fix it at my cost but no way they're touching my teeth again. They tried to imply the decay was from not flossing but I floss religiously every day. It wasn't that. It was that it was not sealed properly. My dentist told me I need a crown. I was like I KNOW, RIGHT? Dr Thomas is one of the most gentle dentist I've seen in a long time. In todays world of dental practices running more like they just got out of a manufacturing efficiency and profit maximization class she takes her time and doesn't shortcut. My past experience with dentist is they want to numb one whole side of your mouth. Dr Thomas just numbed the single tooth she was working on. Amazing. I had a couple of cleaning in the past and liked the hygienist that did that work. But, I chip a filling and needed to see the dentist Lisa came in and never introduced herself even though I had been to her office a couple of times I had never met her I always got seen a another dentist and she started talking about a root canal from the very start of our conversation? So, I said I was wasn't interested in a root canal that I just wanted to get the filling replaced and she just said no that I needed a crown and possible a root canal at a cost of $600+ so, I just said I would think about it and left and went to another dentist office in Marietta and had no problems getting the filling replaced. read more

This office is extremely racist. My brother, an African American male was wrongfully accused of owing the office rudely by the staff. He did not owe anything and has insurance accepted by his his office. They processed a claim for services correctly and insurance paid for his past visit, the staff could have simply researched his profile and seen that the claim paid successfully or at the very least contacted insurance. Kennesaw/Acworth is not the friendliest area of Atlanta for people of color. But to receive mistreatment, and be racially profiled as someone who fails to pay due to the color of their skin is disgusting, and disappointing to experience in 2022. This office is not worth the hassle, I suggest seeking services from a provider who is caring to all patients regardless of race and that has an educated staff that will thoroughly research before accusing someone of non payment and doing it in a uncouth manner. read more

I went in for an evaluation and a cleaning. They charged me with so much that my insurance rejected the bill. I have never had insurance reject a evaluation and cleaning bill ever. I ended up having to go to an oral surgeon for an extraction and (after comparing bills) it was less that my evaluation and cleaning. Do yourself a favor and find an honest dentist. read more

Nice people, but tried to over sell me BIG-TIME. They tried to sell me on the idea I needed $28k in dental work, replacing, crowning and getting implants on teeth that did not warrant that extent of work. I did need a few implants, which would have added another $12k to the $28k for a total of $40,000 in dental work. Really, Really!!!!! Never gave any other options. read more

Quick and painless! Highly recommended! My husband had to have an emergency root canal. He was referred here by his regular dentist. I couldn't believe he was able to be seen the same day. I was also shocked when my husband described the procedure as quick and fairly painless. I wish my husband could have received a follow up appointment sooner than two weeks but I understand that this office is quite popular and busy. The mere fact that he was able to be squeezed in at the last minute speaks volumes. The office hours are great too. The office was still seeing patients after 6!! read more

This is the first dental practice that I've been to in Georgia that I am truly impressed by. They are very thorough, honest, and I just had an overall good experience. In the last 2 years I've encountered some bad dental practices, so I was very hesitant about trying someone new. When I called to make my appointment, I told the receptionist my previous experiences and she made me feel very comfortable. During my first visit they greeted me with the southern manners that is very rare. I was introduced to staff while being given a tour. The office decor and patient rooms are up to date. All of the staff took the time to greet me during the tour. After the tour, we discussed my medical and dental history. We thoroughly went over any current dental issues and they took pictures of my teeth which was a first for me. The dental hygienist was friendly and went over everything with me. They always took the time to ask me if I had questions and if I understood what they were doing. They agreed to address the issues I was having from work i received from another dental practice. They did an exam and cleaned my teeth. I rescheduled my next appointment and left very satisifed. My husband went here right after I told him about my experience (and that's saying alot, he doesn't like to go to the dentist). He had the same experience. They truly care about their patients. Their billing is accurate and they don't recommend more than what you need. When they do recommend anything to you they are spot on. My hubby and I have found our new dental home and are well on our way to maintaining our dental health! read more

Dental Excellence - My view in the patient exam room - General Dentistry Near Me - Kennesaw, Georgia

I read the reviews before making appointments for our entire family and was excited. My initial check up, they stated that I needed $12,000 worth of dental work and that both of my kids had the exact same cavities in the exact same spots and they wanted $150 for each filling. My kids had never had a cavity before (both are teens) and $12,000 in dental work seemed extreme... Went to a second dentist office, I needed $4,000 worth of work and neither kid had a cavity. Our insurance didn't change and both offices are "in-network". The office staff and dentists were cordial and provided great customer service. The facility itself was beautiful, I just do not trust them. read more

If you are really into throwing away your money, then this is the place for you! Dr. Miller is no longer with the practice and the new ownership is all about the money and nothing about the patient. My husband used this practice (under Dr. Miller) to have dentures made. After several fittings to try and get them "right", Dr. Miller mysteriously "no longer worked there." The guarantee to "not stop until everything was right" went out the door with him. Everytime he tried to wear the dentures, his tongue would swell up making it impossible to do so. Instead of honoring the guarantee, the practice opted instead to settle for half of the remaining balance. How gracious! We lived up to our end of the bargain but they certainly didn't. They are all about the money as I indicated previously. Ironically, subsequent information from a professional revealed that my husband was allergic to something that made up the dentures. You think that would have been investigated at least by the ones who made them. I won't go back and will inform everyone I know to RUN from this sham. read more

Once I spoke with Amy at the front desk, my fears were gone. She is very professional and super friendly!! My husband and I were also bringing our son in for his first appointment and from the moment we walked in, we were treated like long lost friends. So warm and welcoming and extremely accommodating. Emily and Amy are fantastic hygienists who took great care of me and my son. Jennifer, the financial coordinator, gave us a tour of the practice and made us feel at home. And our dentist, Dr. Randy Miller, was just wonderful. He took his time and explained everything very clearly. I had no idea a place like this existed. Prior to becoming a patient at Dental Excellence of Kennesaw, I was apprehensive about going to see the dentist. From my first visit to Dental Excellence of Kennesaw, Dr K made me feel at ease and comfortable. I have never experienced any pain during my visits.
