If you're a veteran & in search of a dental office to go to through community care, this by far has been the best one I've attended & listen when I say I have visited quite a few before getting to Dr.Tuason. I was greeted by Lady who was extremely professional and welcoming. Bianca & Byanca both assisted as well once I got to the back & they were both a pleasure as well as professional. Danica Tuason who is Dr.Tuason daughter gave me by the far the best teeth cleaning I've probably ever received from a dental office & I've had my share of teeth cleanings but hers was one you have to experience! Dr. Tuason was also professional & extremely communicative on treatment that would be needed outside of what the VA approved. Their office was quick in getting the request over to the VA as well which I appreciated and allowed me to schedule my next few appointments for the other items approved through the VA. All in all I am glad I was able to find a dental office that was not only professional but understood how the VA worked & that speaks volumes because not to many care providers have been able to do just that.

Dr. Claudia Le treats people the way she would want to be treated. As a retired Navy Commander and 28-year Navy veteran, I value professionalism, honesty, and people who keep their commitments. That is what I have consistently found at Southland Plaza Dental. I am 69 years old, and my teeth have been with me a long time. They are all OEM, and I plan to keep them that way with the help of Dr. Le and her team. My most recent visit was to rebuild my two upper front teeth, the ones we are all most fond of. When I was 12, I fell on a rock and chipped several of my front teeth. A few years ago, Dr. Le rebuilt one front tooth that had begun to decay. This year, another front tooth with a long-standing chip had finally started to decay, and she repaired that one too. I appreciate that Dr. Le focuses on preserving my natural teeth whenever possible. I have always been treated with respect, charged fairly, and never felt pressured into unnecessary dental work. The problem is his staff - in particular a woman named DEBBIE who is mean and ugly to patients (to me and my family) and you feel like you're speaking with an IRS collection agent. She has created a nonprofessional environment -- that after being with Dr. Contreras for six years, we have decided we must find another dentist that offers professional staffing. I wish with all my heart I could recommend Dr. Contreras but I don't want anyone to go through the torture of Debbie. Her tone is condescending, and she speaks over you while you try to talk. She calls you an hour before your appointment to tell you how much money you MUST pay at that visit to receive services -- something never communicated beforehand in previous conversations in making the appointment until that moment. Office staff would make my appts without my requests. They would call while I'm at work saying there's an opening right away and expect me to just drop my stuff at work and leave. I left 2 messages back on the first week of June to schedule appts for first week of July during my vacation and since then, I've received no callback. Now, if I was to get a callback regarding appts for the first or 2nd week of July, they'll most likely say there's nothing opened and that'll be because of the office staff of not responding to messages. Of course they'll say they never got my messages in June but that's not the case. I've been interacting with them at the same number for the past couple months. Again, great Dentist. Poor office workers. Dr needs to have a talk with them.
