Honest Dentists!!! How I haven't written a review yet for these guys is beyond me. 10 yrs ago I was on state dental aid and ended up coming here because they happen to be one of the few that accepted that insurance. I now have private PPO, live way out in East County and still make the drive because they are AMAZING. These are the most honest dentists I've EVER been to. They don't recommend unnecessary work and even told me they made a mistake and I didn't actually need a filling they thought I previously might have. Any other dentist would have just done the work anyway. Thank you Dr Santos and sons for being honorable men and great dentists. I recommend them to EVERYONE. read more

Reception staff here are unprofessional and rude. Literally, every single appointment, I observed the receptionist either argue or talk with a condescending tone with patients when they asked normal questions. When it's your turn at the receptionist desk, they ignore you for an awkward period of time- it's strange, honestly. One receptionist was so rude to my partner over the phone, that my partner decided to stop our children's care, and pay again for the services somewhere else. The business owner there needs to train his/her office team. They also REGULARLY cancel meetings same day, but if you change an appointment, they scold you. Read the other 1 and 2-star reviews and you'll see that being rude is a constant there at Woodside Dental. I've never experienced a dentist like this. I strongly encourage you take your insurance and hard earned money somewhere else. read more

I booked an appointment for my 3 children. I confirmed my appointment a day prior. I showed up on time for my appointment the day of the appointment and they said since I didn't confirm that morning all 3 of my appointments got cancelled. We all know how hard it is to pull 3 kids from different age groups from school to to make it on time just to find out all 3 appointments got cancelled. I finally got them to at least take X-rays for one of my kids to bring him in for a clean up again tomorrow which means I have to pull him out from school early again tomorrow. This is not the end of it. My kid gets really nervous about dentist visit so yes he was crying because he was afraid, one of the girl that works there walks in to tell my 6 year old to be quiet because he was scaring all the patients in there. All the patients were adults Im sure they're parents and they understand! She went in there twice telling him to be quiet! I found this extremely unprofessional and inhumane! It shows they have zero experiences with kids! I spoke to Yoko the supervisor about it but she didn't seem to care about my concern with their start and their unprofessionalism! read more

I'm pretty sure Ive reviewed this dental practice before and am almost certain my review has been taken down since then... The dental/ortho staff are friendly and do good work, but my issue has always been with the reception/scheduling staff. A few times I've had ortho appointments scheduled, showed up, and the reception ladies tell me I don't have an appointment (when I did!) or will tell me the date of my dental appointment (not pertinent to ortho!). Other times, some of reception ladies will give you attitude one day and be all nice the other day (not acceptable at all). More recently, I had a dental appointment scheduled at 5pm. I got a call asking to reschedule to 3pm, which I did and even used sick hours from work for this. THEN the day of the appointment, I'm waiting forever in the waiting room. A lady at reception tells me that the doctors running behind. Then 10 min later (waiting over 30min at this point) the same lady tells me I can sit in the back and wait for the doctor but they're unsure of how long I'll be waiting). At this point i made the decision to reschedule this dental appointment for the same day I'll be coming in for ortho (5pm) & the lady asks me I can come in earlier at 4:30 instead of 5pm... Yes, I definitely wasted sick hours from work to not even get seen this day! Word to the wise: do not be overly accommodating to the people scheduling appointments when they aren't even sure on how to accommodate patients EFFECTIVELY. read more

This dental office is the one that made my false teeth during pandemic and I am very satisfied. That's why I referred and brought my wife, my sister, my brother in law, friends and other relatives to this clinic. Nice doctors and assistants. It would be best if the receptionists will know how to smile and more accomodating to attract more patients. Sorry, I give 4 stars only because of that. My daughter and I are patients here.  I love this office.  Particularly the laides who man the front desk.  Carrie is so amazing!  I've had to call about emergency toothaches, once after hours for my daughter, and she has always been patient, kind, and super helpful.  They don't pressure you to get any work done in your treatment plan, only suggest.  Which makes me feel comfortable, and more willing to trust them, and that is critical. Today I brought my 5yr old in, on an emergency.  Carrie scheduled him quickly, we only had a 10 min wait.  We were in and out in less than an hour.  And my son got to pick a prize from the toy chest so despite his tooth pain, he was a customer Keep up the excellent work ladies!  Thanks so much! read more

I called in for a reschedule I didn't no you get charged for that, I'm a essential worker I don't need this. So I'm gonna wait for my bill and then take it to court. I live in a rv leaks when it rains and the power went out didn't expect for rain today. I don't care if it's a dollar I didn't get the information about a late fee, I was in so much pain that day it's why I was there. Dr Santos Jr's practice and his care are up there with my former Dentist, the late great Dr Ernest Casares. That's really saying something, you just don't know. RIP Dr Casares. Needed to see a dentist quickly before I left back to school and Woodside Dental was able to squeeze me in! I wanted a whitening, but they said I needed a full check up since I hadn't seen them in a while. I'm so glad they did! They found out that I needed a filling and took care of it right away. Well, apparently their staff is too prideful to be respectful to paying costumers. Not only they blame me for their price increase on the same treatment, they also blame me for not paying them before the treatment is done so we can lock down the price!! How do you do business like that?? Their staff must own the place since they were happy when I told them I would take my $6000 dollar business elsewhere. We have been coming here for a year or so. They always go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. They work hard to ensure that everything is done right. And they even worked with me to get everything done before we had to move out of state last minute! I live in the neighborhood so I started with this dentist when I moved to the area they recommended that I replace two of my crowns that I had had done previously I was not in any pain and had no issues with these crowns but I took their professional opinion or do I regret it they remove the two crowns replace them in over the next year they both broke one of them broke twice the new crown burned after the second time of one of them breaking they made me pay half price but still feel I should've paid anything when I went back for a routine cleaning I waited in the lobby for 45 minutes past my appointment time at which time I asked the receptionist what was going on he said that somebody called in sick he didn't care to notify me at work what's going on and I had another appointment that I needed to get to allotted an hour and a half Time at this time I decided to get a new dentist upon my first inspection at my new dentist office they notified me that the crown at the Woodside dental had just put on would need to be redone because it was not covering the tooth or was it what they call a cliff sent her my new dentist send me the x-ray of which I could easily tell the tooth was not put on properly was not covering the crown was not covering so I sent an email to Woodside with the picture of the x-ray of the tooth he just put on and they refunded that $500 They either don't care or don't know what they're doing either way so one star company I would steer clear to read this a lot of church time unnecessarily a lot of pain and a lot of scheduling unnecessarily because of them wish I would've never had them as my dentist read more

Receptionist at front desk are very rude. On multiple occasions they would be talking to one another or not doing anything and not acknowledge me when I came in the door for Several minutes, even while standing right at their desk. Today was the same! And it was made very obvious that it was just me after a tall Hispanic male walked in and both receptionist acknowledged him immediately and both spoke to him. He was Checked in immediately. Maybe it's a racist thing or a sexist thing. Either way it had me feeling very disturbed I had to leave. There was another male in the lobby when I came in and he even gave me the eye (like what was that all about before I even said anything) I know everyone was not raised right, but it's the basics when employed to treat everyone with respect and equality regardless of gender or race. read more

I was having pain in one of my tooth and I called the office on a Wednesday and they were able to book me to see the dentist the next day. After 2 weeks of seeing Dr. Santos, I just had a root canal and it didn't hurt at all. The punch of the injection was the only pain I felt. Dr. Santos has the most amazing hands. I will recommend him with my eyes closed. I have more appointments to go and can't wait to have my treatments done soon! I've always being scare of dentist but Dr. Santos is the best!!! I've been coming here for a while and I must say Dr. Santos rocks. Both of them. It's a dual operation now with Sr. and Jr. Both have DDS after their names, but so far Sr. does most of the complex work (including both my root canals) and Jr. does cleaning and fillings. The office is always neat and clean and the waiting area is well-stocked with chairs, magazines, coffee, and even snacks! I'm always too self-conscious to partake of the refreshments, though I might if I ever have to accompany my husband here. So far I have had all of my old silver fillings replaced with the white material, and I have had two root canals and two crowns. Dr. Santos Sr. is very kind, understanding, and patient with big chickens like me. Jr. is pretty patient and has a good sense of humor, as does Sr. Their assistants will hold your hand if you're scared of the lidocaine shots and even wipe the tears from your eyes. The fact that I always end up crying like a sissy isn't a reflection on their expertise, I just have crummy teeth. Also if you're too cold they will give you a blanket which is very sweet. All together I have had about 16 fillings replaced with the white material rather than the mercury, 3 crowns, and two root canals. They take most insurance that is above the basic level, so they are in-network for my current insurance (Guardian Preferred) and many others. I came in for a cleaning & SARA was awesome !!! she was so nice, talked me through everything. Even let me see what she took out from my teeth LOL.
