I went here for 2 teeth fillings. Dr. Le encouraged me to let them know if I felt any discomfort or pain before starting. I didn't understand some of the instruction but they were very patient. I have debating whether doing an update review since my friend use to work here. I also wish that staff would stop calling me every few months trying to schedule since I never want to come back. When I first started coming here, the dentist was so kind to us. But as soon as my friend stopped working here the service completely changed. The last time I went in I expressed my concerns about TMJ problems that had surfaced since being treated at his office. Honestly it felt like he didn't give a sh!t. He was more concerned about his lack of patients and without even taking another look into my mouth before I left he carelessly said "you just grind your teeth at night". Yeah I don't. My orthodontist even told me there's no signs of teeth grinding. I had a lot of cavities (I think around 9-11) when I started treatment at his office. He fixed them all within 2 or 3 visits. Which in my opinion should have been only done 2 at a time. I spent over an hour with my mouth opened each time. Which I have now been told is not recommended. Another thing worth mentioning is that I have never had problems getting numb. Like ever. For some reason Dr. Ho could not manage to get me numb and at times injected me over 2 times with little to poor success. One visit I didn't get numb at all and had to reschedule. Family members who work in dental have told me it could be due to poor injection technique or old anesthesia. Neither sounds good being honest. I'm disappointed how many dentist don't seem to care about their patients and my search for a good one continues. I don't wish his business any bad. I wish him the best and I hope he can learn from his past mistakes in order to become a better business owner and dentist. read more

I have been going to Dr. Ho for a few years for dental cleaning and definitely recommend him and his hygienists! My sister sees him as well and my mom had partial dentures made here. He's very friendly, thorough, and does a great job at what he does. The office staff are also very friendly. They send you a lot of reminders via text of your upcoming appointments otherwise they charge a $35 fee for no-show. The waiting room office is very small though so it can get very cramped. This location is closed Saturdays, but he also has an office in Escondido that's open on Saturdays until I believe 4pm. Highly recommended! read more

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE MEDI CAL DENTAL INSURANCE. I found this place off of smile California it was recommended to me but wow do I wish I chose another place. They seem so quick to get clients in and out of there and speed through everything which lead to this horrible experience. Doctor didn't even introduce himself for the first procedure which I thought was really weird. I had an appointment for an exam and the doctor realized I need 3-4 fillings one of them being IN THE FRONT OF MY TEETH. Had to return 3 times because he did not do a good job at all. 1st time he fixed the chip in front of my teeth along with 2 other filings. 2nd time I had to return because he forgot to fill in parts of my front tooth so it still looked like it was chipped and left one of my tooth rigid and un even. 3rd time I went is to fix my teeth yet again because the part that he "fixed" fell off and that one tooth was still rigid and uneven. He proceeded to tell me my teeth are "naturally like that"?? And told me it's the best he could do and told me to get veneers?! When my teeth did not feel this way before stepping foot in this office. I don't understand why a simple thing as filling someone's teeth got done so bad?? Besides all of that Emma the hygienist was awesome and felt very happy with the way she cleaned my teeth. read more

Okay I know it's the dentist. Nobody wants to go to the dentist. After driving to clantee for the last 10 years, it was time to find a new dentist closer to my house. I have now been here twice and it is as good as it gets. Once again I know it's the dentist. Everyone is very professional and Dr. Ho even said my old dental work wasn't bad. I don't know how to begin my praises for Dr Ho and his crew. I went in with a severe pain that my previous dentist was not able to fix because I changed insurances. I have a high tolerance to pain and with my extensive dental work in the past, I'm quite familiar with treatment plans and techniques. ( I even resorted going to TJ once). But this pain was unbearable which made it difficult for me to eat ( and I love to eat) Well..let me say, three hours later I was able to walk out with a less pained smile.. . I usually don't write reviews but I was impressed with the way Dr Ho made me feel human again ( when you don't have the right insurances your dentist of more than ten years can make you feel less than a stranger) and the way he made sure I was comfortable during the extensive procedure. BEWARE!! The dental work by Michael Ho is acceptable but his fees and billing practices are extremely suspect. He charged my son $350 for an "upgrade" in a crown which wasn't needed or wanted. It appears that he is one of the local dentists who do not like what Delta Dental PPO pays so they create bogus ways to make more profit. In another instance, I complained to the Insurance about Michael after he took what I thought were excessive x-rays, in my opinion, once again to boost his profit. He didn't like me complaining so the next time I was in his office for my appointment he refused to see me; mind you, his office staff were the ones who scheduled the appointment. I should send him a bill for $35.00 for not cancelling the appointment ahead of time, that is what he charges patients who forget to cancel an appointment and do not show. There are plenty of good dentists in town, avoid Michael Ho's ISmile dental practice. If he is your only option, review your bill carefully and challenge any unnecessary charges. read more

I have HMO through my job and my hmo covers , deep cleaning and irrigation. I was delighted seeing the reviews on yelp so decided to give it a try. 1st appointment schedule and arrived timely since they charge for missed appointment. I get there and they dont see me until 1 hour later. Past my lunch time which was not cool. Anyhow, i got the deep cleaning on my upper teeth done and on the receipt i get an unspecified charge for 50 dllrs which they explained was a "needed" irrigation and laser. So I thought to myself ok, Ill pay for it since i needed it. The receptionist said next time it would be the same amount. I wasnt sure it was right about the unspecified procedure on receipt. I come in for my next appointment, and the receptionist ask me that I pay 1st, but I told her not until the end. I go on do the bottom teeth cleaning and i asked the hygienist if she would do laser, she said no. When i was dome, the receptionist wanted to still charge the "50" dllrs extra. I said , no! Since the laser was not completed, she then said oh its 50 for irrigation, but then i tell her my irrigation is covered by my insurance. Anyhow, my point is, they charge if you miss appointments but they dont guarantee you will be seen timely, and the other thing they wanted to charge me for a procedure I didnt even get. This is not very transparent. Look at your receipts when you go here! UPDATE: out of the blue they called me to day they would drop me because supposedly i was not happy with them. The worse. Please don't take your kids Here. Open 3 days a week. Front office also does cleanings. They clearly get a kick back for "referring" my 6 year old son to a specialist. Kids are squirmy and apparently it's best to put him under so they can perform a root canal on a baby tooth that's rEady to fall out. How do we know? Once again I am amazed by the work and care I receive from Dr. Ho and his employees. I scheduled an appointment to get a crown replaced due to my gum line receding which left my tooth exposed. I went in expecting to have to come back because normally you have to get fitted then come back in 2 weeks when the crown comes in BUT I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this office has a machine that creates the crown on the same day!! Within 2 hours my crown was ready and was placed in and looks a Absolutely perfect. The best part of waiting was I got treated to manicure from the salon that was 2 doors down, that cut the waiting time down for me. So not only did I leave with my smile looking even better but I had a fresh new manicure to show off. So thank you again Dr. Ho and staff for making me feel welcomed and boosting my self esteem with perfecting my smile, I will definitely be going back to replace all my old discolored crowns. read more
