Worst dental office I've ever been to! When our 4 year old autistic grandson was referred here, we were told NOT to bring x-rays from the referring dentist, because "we do our own x-rays and treatment plan." I assumed from that conversation there would be x-rays and a treatment plan during the first visit. Our appointment was scheduled for 8:00 a.m., and we arrived about five minutes early, so we had to wait outside in the heat until they unlocked their doors. The receptionist who unlocked the door pushed it open a bit and then walked away, leaving us to open the heavy door for ourselves. Okay, that's not her job, but not exactly courteous. It just would have been the polite thing to do, since I was holding a child, a purse and a diaper bag, and she had already pushed the door open a little. I signed us in and she gave me a stack of forms to fill out, asked me for the appropriate forms of I.D., etc. Still no good morning or any other type of friendly greeting. (Okay, it's early. Maybe she hasn't had her coffee yet.) I was in the middle of filling out the forms when they called us back, so my older granddaughter took him back. As soon as I finished filling out the forms, I gave them to the receptionist and asked for my Guardianship papers back. She said she still needed to make copies of them. I then went to the back to join the exam, already in progress, which consisted of the doctor only using a long handled mirror to peer inside my grandson's mouth. The doctor asked if the referring dentist had taken x-rays, and why had I not brought them. I advised him that I was told not to, that they would do their own. He questioned who would have told me that, but still didn't do any x-rays. The referring dentist (who did do x-rays, by the way) had found three cavities; yet with no x-rays, just a visual exam, this dentist managed to find 6. When I asked why they weren't going to x-ray, he said, "This visit is just for an exam." Talk about bleeding the system!! Every dental office I've ever been to does x-rays on the very first visit. Then we discussed how they would x-ray and treat my grandson. They advised me he would be given some chocolate pudding, spiked with something to make him drowsy, strapped to a papoose board, head clamped and jaws propped open and would probably be screaming the entire time. Also, I would not be allowed in the treatment room during all of this, as "it might upset the child." Seriously? I almost laughed in his face! I was then told that they could bring in an anesthesiologist, but that we would have to pay him ourselves, as DentiCal didn't cover anesthesia in their office, only at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He said Loma Linda might be a better option for us, so as not to traumatize the child against future dental care. He said, "They sometimes remember." He then left the room and his assistant took over, to explain everything to us, and to possibly write the referral to Loma Linda. She was telling us how many cavities he had, and said he had 6. I asked her where they were, and she named off 5 places. I asked if there were 5 or 6, and she repeated 6, yet could still only name off 5. When I questioned her on that, she threw in an upper left cuspid or bicuspid, I can't remember. We decided to go with Loma Linda, even though I don't really like the idea of anesthesia. So the assistant proceeded to write the referral. She asked me my first name, and then said, "S-H-A-R-E-N?" (Seriously? Who doesn't know how to spell Sharon?) Then she asked what my last name was. I told her "XXXXXX, same as the patient," and spelled it for her. She left to get the doctor's signature on the referral and returned after a few minutes. We left the exam room shaking our heads. Wow! As I passed by the front desk, I asked the receptionist for my Guardianship papers back. They were still on her desk and she STILL had not made copies of them. She removed the staple to make copies and I said, "Never mind, we're not going to be back here, so you won't need them." She said, "You're NEVER coming back?" I told her no, we wouldn't be back, ever. As we were pulling into our driveway, I received a call from the receptionist. They had apparently given us the referral for ANOTHER PATIENT and asked if we wanted to bring it back to them. I told her no, but thought to myself, "Sorry, I won't spend anymore precious gas on YOUR incompetence!" Oh, and although the referral had another patient's name on it, the parent's first name was Sharon and it had MY cell phone number on it. Unbelievable! Bottom line, don't waste your time on these rude, incompetent people! Sorry if that seems cold, but I just wasted my morning AND my gas! The dentist might be a good one, I wouldn't know; but first of all, who diagnoses cavities without doing x-rays? Plus, he acted as if he didn't want to be bothered with us, and would actually prefer that we go to Loma Linda. Great! That's fine with me! I would actually prefer that too! read more

So this is my second visit here and so far, so good. I was actually referred here by a friend who loves this dentist. The staff is very friendly, the lady that explains your benefits was extremely patient and kind in our round of 20 questions, and Dr. Patel paid attention & responded appropriately to my concerns about my reaction to the numbing shots... And he made not feeling pain a priority. Also, they use digital X-rays so you get to see your teeth on a flat screen as he explains what you need and you can opt to have text reminders & confirmations for your appt. OK so I'm really scared of the dentist but was in bad pain due to my wisdom tooth. They where very nice and in squeezed me in but still i did not wait no more the 10 min. The staff here was really friendly and made me feel me feel comfortable. Dr. Isaac was really great on explaining everything to me and all my options. He made sure I understood the treatment that was going to be done. He also made sure I was not in any pain during the treatment,.... This was by far the best dental experience I've ever had! I can't give them 0 stars because it doesn't let me! But I brought my 6 year old here when they gave him to me his lip was swollen they told me that it should have gotten away by the next day! The next day it was worse! I took him on a Monday by Westinghouse had to take him to the Emergency Room his lip was infected till this day he's in pain! I called them and asked them what happened and they tried telling me it was him that he bit himself while they had him but then she said he had a gauze which makes no Sense how did he bite himself while they had his mouth open and after that they gave him a gauze? The lady I spoke to was the manager! So I said your telling me he bit himself while in your care! And just kept blaming my child! Point is they won't admit to what they did... I originally called in to make a quick walk in for a dental cleaning. After calling in to check if they would be open for business at 3pm I was met with locked doors. I'm not sure what the reasoning behind lying to a customer when I could have found another establishment. I could have found another clinic if I was simply told they would not be available. I have to say this was the BEST experience in a long time that I ever had. From the front of the office to the Dr it was AMAZING !!!! I had a tooth ache that was killing me. I looked around and this office took me in as as emergency. The phone call was pleasant starting with Vicky. She understood my pain. Right when I got in, the front desk staff was wonderful. Marsha checked me and helped me with mt paperwork. She knew I was in a lot of pain. They showed such concern for my pain and could see the discomfort I was in. The dental assistant, Melissa took me back and took X-rays. She was very nice asked questions and even shared her thoughts with me of what could be wrong but assured me Dr needs to see me. When I was taken to the back, I met Dr Masey. He was so kind and very concerned with my pain. I informed him the last place I went to wanted to just pull my wisdom teeth. I told Dr Massey I felt something else was wrong. After review of X-rays he said I am grinding my teeth. He suggested a mouth guard. He also said there was some darkening and could need a root canal. He set me up for a follow up in a week but said if pain consists to call. I took it for 2 days, called and was put in the same day. I walked in to a warm welcome at 3:30 and was taken back at 3:45. He started the root canal and of course Because I waited I needed extra attention to the tooth. Dr Massey asked me the whole time if I was ok. He showed concern for all I was taking. He offered me to come back and finish because I was taking a lot. I disagreed, my thinking is "I've taken this much pain, I just want to get it done" he just wanted to make sure I could handle it. I refused to tap out. In addition he seen my tooth was fractured and the root canal can help save my tooth. I went through 3 wonderful dental assistants Melissa, Nancy, & Sylvia. All of them had the most patience in the world. Dr knew I was going to have discomfort for a few days and I was ok with it. He stayed late till 7:15 just to help me feel better. It does not stop there, Sylvia, called me the next day to check on me and said because it's Friday she gave me a contact number to her in case I had an emergency. Sorry, I can't recall ANY other office doing that. Today I went in for a cleaning and to get my crown. It was all the same. I started with the hygienist Agnus. She was so gentle and made sure I was not feeling pain. Thank you Agnes. Next to the crown. PERFECT FIT!!! Monique made my follow up's and I'm ready to go back. I went to get my tooth pulled today and I was so scared I wanted to walk out but the doctor in shored me that everything would be okay so I stayed and I'm happy that I did my tooth was out in 1 minute or 2 it was pain free and fast and it felt like heaven to not have that painful in my mouth any more... I first got an advertising postcard from this dental center, and had put it to the side, planning to check it out. Then I read in a community newspaper that the dentist was providing a free day for the local homeless. That sealed the deal for me, I think that is a great community gesture! So I went to check them out and make an appointment. If I were to just drive by the location, I would probably pass it up because the buildings on either side are empty, and with some construction going on nearby on the street, makes things pretty quiet around that area. But the front staff are friendly, the assistant that took my X-rays was great, the facility is very modern and clean, with up to the minute equipment. There was no pressure to do a full schedule of work (as I have received with almost every other dentist), the focus was on 'this is what you need, but do what you can, when you can". read more

I've had the worst luck when it came to dentists. I usually leave remembering how painful the experience was or how inconsiderate the staff was. But not in this case! Dr. Patel and his staff are wonderful. I got cleaning and a root canal done at this dental office. The experience was painless and well worth it. I know barely anything about teeth, but I was thoroughly explained about the work I was going to receive. Dr. Massey and the staff have been very helpful and friendly. When I arrived the front office was welcoming. I went to the office with jaw pain that had been giving me headaches for months. Dr. Massey recommended an occlusal guard. Nancy did a great job making it, the fit was perfect and all my pain went away after a few nights wearing it and I felt normal again. I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. AND it was PAIN FREE. I also take my son and his visit went very well to. They were so patient. after comparing prices and hygiene of different dentists i found this place near my home. i had to get 4 extractions as per my western dental doctor suggested for the straightening of my braces. western dental charged me 1200 dollars, keeping in mind that i am a cash patient, the price was to high for me.
