My experience with and Dr. ALEXANDER KATSNELSON started when my husband had his implants done in 2013 he is by far the most professional, friendly and knowledgeable doctor we' ve ever met!!!!!! On the first day of the consultation he explained every step of the surgery to my husband and ensured that we both understood the whole process. Dr. ALEXANDER KATSNELSON made himself available , and very easy to reach post operatively, I think I e- mailed him 6 times within 2 weeks with different questions and concern ( I work in a medical field so I know how difficult it is to reach MD) he always respondent within couple of hours. GREAT DOCTOR !!!!!! Just recently I decided to have my wisdom teeth removed , and of course I knew that I want Dr. Katnelson to do it. We talked about the options and decided that SEDATION will be the best option for me ( I already knew from my husband, who had sedation 3 times for his implants that that's the way to go!!!! , being able to just fall asleep and wake up without any bad memories JUST GREAT !!!!! The day of the surgery I was broth to the procedure room by one of the nurses which checked my blood pressure and O2 level, she was very nice and friendly, after she was done she informed me that Dr. Katsnelson will be in in few min, When he came in, we talked a little and he told me that he is getting ready to start IV line and we will get started with SEDATION, I was super scared about the procedure because I've never had sedation before!! Once Dr. Ketsnelson started IV sedation he told me to start counting down from 100 down to 0, I got to 98 and that's all I remembered, I woke up feeling absolutely great and happy. When I opened my eyes the nurse asked me how I was feeling and told me that we are all done with the surgery. Dr Ketsnelson was in the room as well he reassured me that everything went great and that he will talk to me more in about 30 min. Let me tell you guys I was very relaxed after the procedure was done. I've always had a great experience with Dental salon and I'm definitely recommending Dr. Katsnelson to anyone who needs any type of dental surgery he is very friendly, professional and the most knowledgeable oral surgeon you can find. I must confess I am one of the, seemingly few, people who have had a horrible experience here. My first appointment went ok. I have never had a cavity in my life, though was told that a chipped tooth (tooth number 14) was beginning to form a small cavity that should be filled. I was informed by the dentist that what they were doing was only a temporary, cost-effective solution to my chipped tooth, and that eventually I might need a crown. This was never discussed in my first appointment, or before being numbed. I was already lying in the chair. I know fillings don't last forever, but then again, I didn't know very much about fillings at all, and was never informed of exactly what it entailed, or the effects it might cause. Fast forward to a few days later, and my tooth has never been in more pain. I called to inform the office of this, and was scheduled in for an adjustment the next week. The dentist encouraged me to go ahead and cancel if it got better, or to just not bother showing up at all. The next week, he drilled down the bite, and it felt better than it did before, so I left. The next day, after eating lunch, the most intense pain shot down into my jaw and I couldn't focus. I was nearly in tears. I called the office, and they scheduled me the next day. The filling got drilled down to a point where I was told they had to go deeper and asked if I wanted Novocaine. Shouldn't it be procedure to inject a numbing agent if there is a remote possibility of intense pain? The filling was drilled all the way down and removed entirely. I was informed that if it was drilled anymore, the hole would be bigger and go deeper into my tooth. I told them to stop, though some of my surrounding teeth were brazed in the process, shearing off some of the enamel, leaving them gruff. After suggesting I make an appointment with the endodonist, I left for the weekend, but the cavity was never refilled, thus exposed for a few days. When I arrived back in the office, the endodontist played with the tooth, mentioned the nerve was spontaneous, or that there was the possibility of an unseen crack in the tooth, but no clear distinction or definition was made. A temporary filling was placed over the cavity (one layer of composite), to be removed and/or filled in a couple of weeks. I made an appointment about 4 weeks from that date for either a root canal or a blue x-ray on the tooth. I was encouraged to call the endodontist in those weeks to relate if it was getting better, or if it still hurt. A couple of weeks went by, and I remained in fairly consistent pain, and took about 1000 - 1200 mgs of IB Profin a day. This past week I called the office to touch base with the endodontist, who told me to leave a message if he was not in and that he would call me back immediately. He was not in, and I waited two days, but never heard from him. I have since canceled all upcoming appointments with the Dental Salon, and am so frustrated that I could never get a straight answer. I don't know if the appointment with the endodontist was for a root canal or not, he never called me back. I now have a new dentist, and though I have not yet had a root canal, the shooting pain has subsided, though a dull pulsation remains. It makes me angry that this website is tracked and fake 5 star reviews are posted. It is a marketing ploy. The Dental Salon is a Yelp Sponsor. I went to Dental Salon because I needed to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. It's been a couple of months since I had the procedure done, but I wanted to write a review because of how impressed I was with everything related to my visits. My first appointment was simply to get an x-ray taken so they could see what they were dealing with. Dr. Patel reviewed everything with me, made his recommendations, and went over how everything would work when I came in for my next appointment. It was obvious that he was very confident in his abilities which of course made me much more relaxed about the whole experience. After that initial meeting I was concerned because the price estimate they gave me seemed pretty high. The support staff at Dental Salon was extremely helpful and offered to send a copy of their treatment plan to my insurance company to get a statement from them showing exactly how much they would reimburse. Knowing that exact amount going into the procedure again made me feel much more comfortable. This pre-treatment assistance was definitely much appreciated. The day of my procedure, they took down my insurance information and even offered to run it past my medical insurance (not just my dental insurance) to see if the medical insurance would pick up any of the costs not covered by dental insurance. While this didn't end up working out, I really appreciated their effort as that was something I never would have thought of on my own. The procedure went as smooth as it possibly could. Again, Dr. Patel's confidence put me at ease. It was obvious he knew what he was doing and that he was good at what he was doing. The procedure itself took less than 45 minutes for all 4 teeth to be pulled. I waited in the recovery room for 30-45 minutes longer and then was out of there. I did have some bleeding in my mouth for a few days afterwards, but literally had no swelling at all. I took 1 of the prescribed pain pills that first evening, but after that only needed a couple of Advil a day to cover any discomfort. Based on the horror stories I had heard from friends about their experiences with getting wisdom teeth pulled, I was absolutely thrilled with how well this went and how little discomfort I had. I would definitely recommend Dental Salon to others and Dr. Patel to anyone needing oral surgery. As a matter of fact, my wife will now be using Dental Salon as her regular dentist as well. read more

I have nothing to report, except for utter satisfaction!!!! Upon my late entry to the Dental Salon, I was put at ease with a greeting and smile. The fact should not be dismissed that, though I was more than 30 minutes late to my appointment, the Dental Salon honored my appointment without making it a(n) awkward "experience." I mean seriously...I even forgot that I was more than half-hour late!!! I moved on from the reception to one of the many rooms (I call them the imperial white rooms). Here is where "the magic" and transformation takes place. I was prepped and made ready by a friendly dental technician followed by Dr. Morris's greeting. I apologized for my tardiness, to which he expressed "no worries." The procedure that I was having done, the last of a two-part procedure, was a root canal capping. In addition to the capping, I also had a cavity filling. Afterwards, some X-rays or images of my teeth were taking, and then I proceeded to the consultation room to meet with Dr. Morris and discuss any and all steps needed to maintain and keep alive my "best feature." The entire work took an hour maybe less. The result was an efficient and aesthetic tooth repair. I have been a patient of the Dental Salon when it first opened back in 2003 (then the Salon only had the first area of rooms, in the office by the elevators). I gotta be honest with you folks that read this, and say that I am usually tardy here to the Dental Salon. Having said this I feel that Dental Salon truly values their patients and tries to accommodate each and every person on an individual level. The Dental Salon's customized payment plan varies, so that attention may be given to all person's in need, no matter a person's income level. I may attest to this fully, not having insurance and having to do "out-of-pocket" pay. You may add to this appealing quality of Dental Salon the state of the art rooms, equipment, and computers used; the ever so friendly staff (including the doctors); the convenient hours of operation; prime location; and validated parking!!!! I know and see how committed Dental Salon is to me, and I don't see that kind of commitment offered elsewhere. I love the attention....HAHA! I am patient of the Dental Salon for life!!! read more

Okay... first before I review I want to tell anyone reading this that mine is NOT fake. I find it amusing that all the people giving bad reviews here dismiss the good ones as "fake". (because, of course, everyone in the world MUST agree with them so any differing opinion is obviously a fabrication). SHEESH! On to my review. I've been going to Dental Salon (specifically Dr. Jason Lipoff) for I think 2 years now. In that time I've had routine cleanings, root canals, fillings and a crown -- and not a single bad experience in all those visits. The staff is always friendly -- and not just in a "customer service" kinda way, but genuinely friendly. From the moment I arrive to the moment I leave, we talk, joke, laugh -- it's a very relaxed and casual atmosphere. For me that's important because I don't like undergoing anything remotely medical. Dr. Lipoff's is outstanding. I was never a big fan of going to the dentist. I hopped around different dentists for years and usually with a few years in between visits. Now I look forward to my 6 month check-ups. I mean c'mon... if I can come away from a root canal happy, that counts for a lot. (I even wrote an amusing blog about it immediately afterwards). Everyone I've encountered there was professional and knowledgeable. I ask a lot of questions when I'm having work done and Dr. Lipoff and the others are always frank and informative. Dr. Lipoff has a great "chair-side manner" (is that a term? if not, it should be). He knows his stuff, makes me feel at ease -- and he plays kick-ass music when I'm in the chair. I've recommended him to several people here at work as well as a few friends and they all came back from their visits raving about him. All-in-all the place is a great mix of comfortable "hanging out with friends" feel and professional dental expertise. They know their stuff and I trust them. That above anything else keeps me coming back. On a completely superficial note, the office is beautiful. Very slick, modern but not overdone. Yes, I read the reviews, but I'm going to leave it for you to decide. I had no knowledge of this dentist office, except being referred by my insurance company. Nevertheless, I'm very glad I selected them. My first visit, and every one after that, has been well worth it!! First, I believe no one likes going to the dentist, but this is somewhere we all have to visit one day; with that, I'll take you step-by-step. My 1st visit was for a consultation for pain I was experiencing with my gums. Dr. Khanna was the 1st doctor I spoke to; he not only made me feel comfortable at first site, but reassured me every step of the way for the proper care I needed. Dr. Khanna expressed first off, he'd like to refer me to a gum- specialist, who would be more efficient in addressing my concerns; not because he was not equipped to service me, but he wanted me to receive the best treatment. After that, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Reddy, very pleasant and professional, who expressed his professional concerns for proper treatment. I was in control of agreeing with what I wanted to pursue and afford; at no point did I feel pushed, forced in making decisions that was not for my best interest. Furthermore, Dr. Khanna is a prime example of patient care at the highest level of concern and professional care and treatment; he listens and recommends with a humble heart, kind spirt, and most of all GREAT RESPECT for his patients... his assistant Lana, is simply amazing!!!! If there is a perfect team you want to be in control over your dental hygiene... I highly recommend them. I just finished my crown placement this evening; no pain or any discomfort. Dr. Khanna is a keeper!!! Please note, you'll never no until you take the first step!!! Remember, not every dentist out there is all about the money... find out for your self.
