She then proceeded to insinuate that there were multiple problems with my teeth and she wasn't willing to complete a cleaning. The only reason I went to this dentist was because our insurance changed and the real dentist I was seeing prior did not take the new insurance. I had recently spent about $10k to have implants and bridgework completed on the upper teeth and they look and feel great. Although the bottom teeth require cosmetic work, I recently had the necessary work completed on them including root canals and cavities filled which stabilized the teeth and eliminated any pain. I believe Kaplan was more focused on identifying high cost cosmetic services that could be provided instead of giving me the services I was seeking (a teeth cleaning). I could see she was more interested in a money grab rather than providing the lower cost teeth cleaning. It's shameful when professionals use their certifications/degrees for their own ulterior motives. Never got the teeth cleaning so I can't even say they do that well

I called trying to get an appointment with the front desk and I noticed the receptionist seemed annoyed when I provided the proper spelling of my last name. I blew it off because we all have those days but when it came to scheduling an appointment, there was no help. She asked what's a good day and I said any Friday, her response was we're closed this Friday and stayed quiet. I asked again, is there another Friday that you have available? She said next Friday at 12pm which was perfect because it's my lunch hour. So we went with that date. I said, "ok. that works let me log it into my calendar (which took seconds)" and the call hung up. I thought the call dropped... So, I called back and was transferred back to her. That's when I asked, who I was speaking with and when she said Destiny, I was like oh my gosh, It's my girl! So, I felt comfortable saying "OMG Destiny, it's me. what's going on? Are you okay? what happened" She was still in this disconnected customer service script and responded with, "I'm fine. I hung up because I didn't hear anything." Take in mind, I informed her to hold on, and it took all but 3 seconds to type it into my calendar. When I informed her that I wanted to schedule my other 2 kids her response was, "well. I didn't hear anything" again her sass was on a whole other level. I informed her that I would call back later and that I didn't feel comfortable. Her response was again condescending, and I told her that her approach was making me sad and that I wanted to cancel. "She said okay thank you bye." - not a care in the world. For the $1500 that I usually spend every year. I'd rather take my business elsewhere.
