In fact, my son is planing a far trip from East Coast to tend to his dental needs at Doctor's Ho, because he says there is no one out there he trusts anymore and no one out there (visited 4 professionals) that of Doctor Ho expertise, manner, knowledge, and ability. In retrospect, the best part we both perceive, is Doctor's Ho genuine concern for his patients and desire to bring about the best course of action. We experienced his outstanding care in the far past, resolving previous extensive needs. My husband and a friend or two are also his happy patients. It was an amazing experience, today, despite the discovery of a deep cavity, which Doctor Ho gracefully reminded me to be optimistic about. They take my insurance (Delta Dental) and parking is in the building and they validate. I've had Marilyn clean my teeth a few times and they're alway squeaky clean after. Last night I had accidentally flossed out an old filling so I had to make an appointment to get it fixed. Dr Chen was my dentist and even though I was running late, they were still able to get me in and complete the filling and I was on my way! It had to be the fastest filling I ever had with the x-rays and filling done within 45 minutes! I got there at 2:20pm and was out before 3pm! The numbing wore off after a few hours and I don't feel any discomfort. I also only paid about $118 for the filling and x-rays after my insurance. Dr Chen was really nice and checked to make sure I was doing okay and again was extremely quick and efficient. Some people don't like the clinical nature of this office but I love it! I recommend all of my friends, coworkers and family to come here!

He questioned my piercings, and didn't hide his disgust at my tongue ring. He had the nerve to mumble, "how do you even clean this?" I felt embarrassed and couldn't answer due to the fact he was literally cleaning my teeth at the time of asking. So yeah I was in a vulnerable state. It made me feel gross? I take pretty good care of my piercings and change my jewelry periodically. Yes I brush my tongue piercing when I brush my teeth and I know the hygienic risks before I got the piercing. I have had it for years and no other dentist ever made me feel... judged for it. Anyway, my teeth were in good shape. Very clean. Still, very bad experience. 10/10 not going back there. As someone who's written countless reviews as a long-time Yelp Elite, I believe it's important to observe the healing process before offering a genuine evaluation--especially for something as delicate as dental implants. Now, my candid impressions. The first thing that struck me was how intimately Dr. Yoo understood the condition of my oral health--perhaps even better than I did. After only a short period, I felt I could truly trust him. My case wasn't a straightforward single implant. It involved a sinus lift and bone grafting, and the entire procedure lasted about 3 hours. There were moments when the sounds of the tools made me tense up, but the anesthesia worked perfectly, and I felt minimal pain throughout. Surprisingly, those three hours didn't feel that long. Either I have a high pain tolerance, or Dr. Yoo's technique is simply that exceptional. In Honolulu, procedures like this usually require separate appointments with various specialists. Under Dr. Yoo's care, everything was streamlined--from extraction to implant placement--all under one roof. Getting the implant placed immediately after extraction? That was a first, even for me, despite already having five or six implants. Post-op recovery felt efficient and smooth. I had three follow-up appointments, and each time I was given a clear assessment of how things were progressing. The healing stitches were visible for a while, but now even my gum line is gradually smoothing out. Dr. Leong made me feel comfortable right away and explained everything very clearly so I could understand my options. I've been to many different dentists here on the island, but I can honestly say he's the best dentist I've seen. A lot of dentists make you feel like they only care about the money, but Dr. Leong truly listened to my concerns and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable throughout the treatment. His assistant, Trisha, was also amazing while assisting him during my procedure. The whole experience felt very reassuring and professional. I just left Landmark's office and the administrative team treated me with such disrespect that I felt compelled to write this review. few months ago when I was between jobs and uninsured, they sold me a package which included 2 free cleanings as well as a discount on other dental services. I recently accepted a new job which provides dental insurance in network with Landmark. When I called to confirm coverage, the person who answered the phone stated my current dentist at Landmark was in network with my new HMSA Dental plan. I then asked them about the package that I already signed up for with 2 free cleanings. I want to be very clear: I was NOT asking for a refund on that package, but dental insurance always has maximums and limits so I wanted to make sure that the cleaning I already paid for would not be put through my new insurance. The woman on the phone said "we've never had a case like this before"; furthermore, she stated that Landmark would most likely bill my insurance company for the cleaning for which I had already paid Landmark. I live down the street and left their office around 45 minutes ago. When I asked to speak with an office/billing manager, the woman who greeted me when I entered said "no, they're not here." When I asked when they'd be back, she said "you can check back in the morning." When I started to ask about the double billing, she stated "you need to talk to the manager about that." At that point, the woman who sold me the initial package was at the counter, and I directly asked her if she remembered selling it to me and she said she had not. I told her that nowhere does it state that Landmark has the right to bill my insurance for the cleanings I already paid for. At that point, she looked for to a 3rd woman (presumably the office manager/administrator that was supposedly absent as told to me by the first employee) and asked her about it. She told me that when I came in for me next exam & cleaning, Landmark fully intended to bill my insurance company for the cleaning I already paid for. When I protested, they said the only way they wouldn't bill my insurance for the cleaning I already paid for is if I scheduled the exam and cleaning on different days. TLDR: Great dental care, but SLEAZY and HORRIBLE billing practices. Landmark has no qualms about billing insurance for services which patients already paid for. PS - At least during one of my office visits, they had signs up offering discounts for Google reviews - take all the 5 stars there with a grain of salt.
