First off I had an emergency situation where there was a large chip that came out of my tooth. Originally because my insurance was just kicking in they weren't gonna be able to take me until May however Sanae pulled some strings to make it possible and got me in. Dr. Assasian did a phenomenal job and it was completely pain-free. Unfortunately I needed to get a crown however even though this is my first experience he made it possible for me to get through it in one piece with no pain and really talk me through the process. Zero Stars. Place is such a scam. Upcharges for everything and makes you think you need to buy all sorts of random products, which by the other 1 star ratings it seems this is their gig. I am not sure where they found all their 5 star ratings at. My husband went to his appointment today and they refused to do his cleaning covered by the insurance and claimed he had to have to $70 deep cleaning which is normally $200 something. They were trying to sell him mouthwash for $32 that you can buy at walmart for $2. So insane. I called and demanded why they wouldn't do the normal cleaning covered by the insurance if he denied having the deep cleaning and they claimed their office can't and won't if the doctor recommends it. Well every other cleaning of his life was a normal cleaning and he has been just fine so it doesn't make sense. The office lady explained it like this, " If teeth are really in need of a deep cleaning then a normal cleaning won't help". What?! So sending him home with no cleaning at all is any better?! Doesn't make sense. He has great hygiene habits so this is crazy that they won't at least provide the normal cleaning for him. I am really disappointed, I have an appointment tomorrow that I won't be going to. I was really hoping this place was legit due to the Yelp reviews. Turns out this place is just a headache. Don't waste your time. Plus other reviews claimed they had issues with the dental work that was done by the Doctor, I guess its a good thing they didn't get to touch our teeth. Dr. Assadian took care of my family and I for over 20 years. He and his staff were always very kind and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable when we can in for cleanings, cavities, and crowns. He always went out of his way to help us as a low income family by doing things "at cost" or finding a way to make it cost a little less. We got to know him and staff pretty well and I can tell you that he really cares about his patients and we will miss seeing him now that had to move to another state. read more

Can't recommend Dentistry 2000 highly enough. Everyone at the front reception is so friendly and attentive, as well as everyone in the back. My first appointment there, I received a deep cleaning, mouthwash (not the Scope/Crest/brandname type), and took impressions for a night mouthguard, which Dr. Assadian recommended. Even after my dog ate my mouthguard literally a month after I got it, the office was swift to get me back in to retake the impressions and get me another. More about the mouthguard--it has never dawned on me that I needed one. Although I was a bit skeptical at first, I trusted Dr. Assadian and purchased the mouthguard; it has truly made so much of a difference. I didn't quite realize how much I grinded my teeth at night, so I didn't know why my face always felt kind of uncomfortable or sore in the morning. When I started wearing the mouthguard to sleep, however, I immediately noticed that I woke up easier, in a better mood, and with no discomfort. The fact that my dog ate my mouth guard, and I made an appointment to get my impressions retaken within two days is a testament to how impactful it has been. read more

Based on the yelp reviews I picked this office for my second annual cleaning. I have to echo what many others say in their reviews as the staff is professional, have the latest technology in dentistry, and provide great service! I did not feel any pressure at all when I needed to fill 2 cavities, fix a chipped tooth, and receive a laser gum procedure. All of these took only 30 minutes! I was very impressed with their office! He is interested in you as well as your dental issues. He made sure to feed me a banana before my treatment because I might be sore after. The front office manager, Sona (sp.) is so wonderful and welcoming. Martin, the tech/assistant is fantastic as well . I had to have a lot of procedures done (2 crowns, cavities, cleaning, mouth guard) . They all made sure my procedures were as comfortable as possible. I had my first visit here today (2/19/18). Staff is friendly and courteous, and made me feel relaxed. Typical check up and x-rays as a first time patient and got the news. I can tell I'm going to like this place because unlike one other experience I had, they told me what needed to be done, and weren't trying to sell me $3000.00 of cosmetics like a place I used to go to years ago (I won't mention the name). I got the breakdown in cost and it's not much because I have good insurance, but what I like is the fact they gave me other alternatives if I wanted to upgrade some things, without the arm twisting techniques like one previous dental office did to me. Well i have a follow up planned for a deep cleaning on 3/14 but I plan on getting the mouth wash this week after my pay date that the Dental assistant recommended. After several changes to my dentist and some unsatisfactory experiences, I spent a day reading reviews before choosing a new dentist when our insurance needed re-upping. I chose Dentistry 2000 based on that research. I must say after a few months under Dr Assadian's care and several procedures including removal of an old bridge and an extraction, I am more than pleased with the care I have received. From the front staff to the dental assistant, I am warmly greeted and patiently taken care of at each visit. I am 69 years old so it can be daunting to undergo these difficult procedures. I felt like my hand was literally held by a friend through the worst of it.... I was given water and even food since it took so long ! My comfort and wellbeing were the most important thing to the entire staff. i have never had such patient, relaxed care at a dentist. The other important thing to me was NOT feeling pressured into more expensive approaches to my needs, which is a main reason I left my last dentist. Dr. Assadian listened and respected my ability to say exactly what I wanted.... no pressure at all, although he did take the time to thoroughly explain the pluses and minuses of every option available. Going to Dr. A changed my life. I was a daily headache sufferer, spending thousands in treatments and medications with primary care physicians, therapists, and anyone else that would help try to take the pain. I'd seen several dentists before Dr. A but none of them saw what he saw. The wisdom teeth I still had were causing pressure and impact on my mandible bone, ultimately creating tension. I was always told I didn't need to have them taken out.... My mouth was big enough. Dr. A knew better and solved the problem. The daily headaches stopped after extraction. At 35 my daily life was renewed. During the process I was a ball of anxiety and riddled with fear. I've always feared the dentist. Dr. A and his staff are friendly and gentle. While in the chair Dr. A asks "Are you ok" every sixty seconds, at least. Even during a simple exam. They listen to your needs and take care of you as a patient, and not as just another mouth. So I had been looking for a new dentist for a bit, I was new to the area and I needed a ton of work and wasn't looking forward to having it all done by a new dentist! Thankfully my wife came here, she had a great experience! She told me how friendly everyone was and that I should try it out. She couldn't have been more right! The friendly nature of everyone seems very genuine and the dr is a great guy with a fun easy going personality who could joke with you and not chastise you for bad habits but rather encourage you with humor. I've been at least 7-8 times now in the last 3 months and I actually don't dread the dentist anymore! They've done such great work on my teeth, I couldn't be more happier with my experience there!!! The staff here is incredibly courteous, professional, and the dentist there takes his time to really explain everything that he is doing so that you feel as comfortable as humanly possible. They explain every procedure that they are going to do, how much insurance will cover, and are also willing to discuss affordable payment options for those who cannot afford the cost of the full treatment at the time. My husband and I used to go to Bright Now! Dental, and we were completely dissatisfied by their price gouging, lack of professionalism, and big business atmosphere. This was the third dentist I tried when I need a lot of work done. I have a weird dental coverage that not many dentists accept. I saw one dentist near me (in San Diego) that was a bad experience, plus he quoted me $3,000 and wanted to do like 3 root canals. I saw a second dentist that was good, but didn't take my coverage--at least his quote was less, $2,000, with more conservative treatment. I really wanted to find a dentist who took my plan so I could save money. I spent HOURS hunting for dentists with decent reviews online, that accepted my plan, making my search area further and further from where I live--central San Diego. Then I found this place, a full HOUR from me. I thought it might be worth it. I had a great experience. I mean, obviously getting a lot of work done is not fun (it sucks!!) but there is no avoiding that. Everyone I dealt with at the office was so nice. They offered me ibuprofen before the drilling. They asked me if I was ok every 30 seconds. Marco worked on my teeth a long time and was gentle and kind. Even when I spoke to them on the phone they were patient and friendly. It was almost too good to be true. I also liked that Dr. Assadian was the most conservative of the dentists I consulted. I was able to avoid crowns and root canals and keep more of my teeth. He seemed to be careful about what he did. I was relieved to find this place, even though it's a 2 hour round trip for me! read more

I had to stop going to my favorite dentist due to a change in dental insurance. Since then I tried 2 different dentists in the area and was given wildly different diagnoses and treatment recommendations, along with high-pressure/guilt sales tactics. From gum disease and no cavities, to 5 cavities and okay gums... trying to charge me for things my (fairly comprehensive) insurance wouldn't pay for. So by the time I found Dr Assadian, I was pretty disheartened and stressed out. He listened to my concerns and was able to work around getting full X-rays since I had just gotten some a few months ago. He repaired a few teeth (not 5, thank goodness!) and helped address a couple other issues (dry mouth and teeth grinding) that no previous dentist had noticed but I was semi-aware of. There was some discomfort - it's dentistry, after all - but I feel like his whole team worked to minimize it. And he even called me at home after my appointment to make sure I was feeling better and following the recommendations. I definitely recommend this office to others and will happily return here. Pro tip: if you have a DMO/HMO plan, call your insurer and change your Primary Dental Provider to Dr Assadian (and note the effective date) before you call their office to make an appointment. Otherwise you may have to wait a few weeks until the records are updated to schedule an appt. read more

I reviewed recently but I need to again. I had a root canal on a cracked tooth (from an endodontist that Dr. Assadian recommended) and he was amazing so I come back to dentistry 2000 and have the temp cap put on, and they weren't sure the tooth was going to be able to be saved. I was so sad to hear this because of how much was just spent on a root canal! But, with all of Dr. Assadian's tools and know-how he was able to save my tooth! He was amazing!!! Also, I went in to have my wisdom tooth pulled and I wish I would have timed it... Granted it wasn't a super complicated or impacted tooth, which can take more time I'm sure, but I really wish I would've time how long it took him to pull my wisdom tooth, it had to have been maybe a minute or 90 seconds. I couldn't believe it!!! I am so thrilled!!! Pain free too! I just want to say thank you a million times over to Dr. Assadian and his whole team. I'm pretty scared of dentists (I'm 30 and shouldn't be such a baby - but I AM!) and the entire team makes you feel SO comfortable and so at ease. I have not been to a dentist in years! I went in and it was the best experience I've ever had at the dentist. My husband went to a dentist across the street and they told him he needed 2 root canals . He stayed with two temp crowns Because how horrible the experience was and here Dr. Assadian told him he didn't need all that. Fixed him with fillers and got him prepped for the permanent crowns next week. I could hear my husband laughing from the next room. Now i see why Dr. Assadian is rated so highly! I've always been that terrible dental patient that ONLY makes an appointment to get work done when I'm in terrible pain and have a dental emergency requiring immediate attention! When I first visited Dr. Assadian's office I was in such a situation. From the moment I walked in the entire staff made me feel so comfortable and welcome. The process was super fast and I got all the preliminary work done with minimal waiting and down time! After the doctor had assessed my needs the staff clearly reviewed all his recommendations and charges and my options for payment. Over the course of the last several months I have visited Dr. Assadian's office multiple times and am proud to say that I finally have TWO awesome and perfectly fitting crowns where I once had a bunch of pain and some sad teeth! For the first time in years I can chew without ANY pain! For the first time in over a year I have NO swelling in my jaw or cheek! Thanks to Dr. Assadian for being patient with my 6 year old daughter. She needed to have two stubborn baby teeth pulled, and was very nervous about it hurting. She received a lot of attention and care from the staff, which helped her through the experience. They explained to her what they were doing each step of the way and even held her hand. Very sweet. My daughter cries easily and overreacts, but after this visit she's acting much braver. In fact, when we got home she let me pull the last loose tooth out, no problem.
