I was so genuinely disappointed and dissatisfied with my care at this dentist. At first things were going really well. I came to the dentist to make an appointment because they didn't answer the phone due to I guess the line being busy or phone off the hook. Upon walking in I was told they had an opening for a cleaning in 30 min per a cancellation and I could be seen if I'd like to stay. I stayed, and decided to get cleaned . The hygienist saw me gave me a couple scans and gave me a cleaning. Was very kind and understanding of my anxiety and fear of the dentist. The main dentist Bhumija Gupta or as she likes to coin herself "the owner of the practice" came in and ONLY looked at scans didn't even ask me to smile. Almost acted like she had more important patients to see and didn't even have time to look inside my mouth. Seems like a very money hungry establishment . I was concerned but didn't voice it. I was interested in braces or Invisalign. Per my scans she claimed that was applicable and she thought I'd be a good fit for either . When I got to the front desk. The receptionist was only suppose to check me out & make my next appointments this was where everything turned for worse. A receptionist who in my opinion has no diagnosing ability, kept giving me the hardest time about booking my next appointment because from her interpretation I didn't need braces or what I requested Invisalign. The she stated I wouldn't be a good candidate because I voiced I have anxiety, . I was sitting at the reception desk for about 47 min trying to reason with her saying I'd at least like to try one extraction before confirming I'm to anxious . I requested to be put to sleep but I was told they didn't provide that which I understood, I told them I never did laughing gas but would be willing to try. The receptionist said she doesn't think it would be good for ne and maybe I should just find somewhere that'll give me anesthesia.. which I think is inappropriate and out of scope for a receptionist. my cleaning was only 13-20 minutes . I started to get very irritated because everything we discussed in the dental chair the receptionist kept analyzing & leaving the desk and confirming with the dentist (who was with patients) very much demeaning and wasting my time . She would literally wait outside other patients doors , wait for the dentist to do their care then ask a question and return back to the front desk instead of just going with the report that was given to her by the dental assistant Then the "doctor" ... came to reception and said she would re analyze my scans (not my actual teeth) and call me and let me know if I was viable for the product I was requesting. She called me the next day and then described I wasn't a good candidate for either braces or Invisalign. So not only was ample time wasted, I didn't get anything out of the appt. I called and scheduled to have my wisdom teeth removed (from a specialist ) not the owner of the practice . She writes me a letter and sends it first class mail. I'm thinking it's my medical records or X-rays it's the dentist telling me she is refusing me care and won't allow a different dentist to extract my wisdom teeth. Because they work at her practice .. that she owns . I think it's very unprofessional how I was treated and the fact that she would deny me care really goes to show how important it is for so called doctors to get some bed side manner and learn how to deal with patients who might be more anxiety stricken than others . I feel my denial of care and her portrayal of me in this letter she sent to my home is prejudice. As she stated in her very combative letter she's "hurt" that I felt she was prejudice toward me because she is a woman of color( Indian if I'm not mistaken ). She never apologized and made the entire situation about herself . Her ego is gigantic , and I wasn't there to stroke anyone's ego, I was there for dental care . My actual appointment for my wisdom teeth removal isn't cancelled , they just confirmed it a couple days ago so her lack of communication and tailoring and training to her reception staff is also an issue and has definitely fallen short. Refusal of care ? And you weren't Even the provider ? I will never return to this place even if she hadn't denied me care from another provider . And as a medical professional I personally have never and I would never deny a patient especially without cause like, how dare you? & I wasn't even going to do a review until she felt the need to send me a very long rude letter to my home . Dr Gupta has been my dentist for over 3 years now and I commend her on her knowledge, experience and compassion she has for her patients. I have had complex procedures done in her office that required time evaluating and treating for the right outcome. When it comes to a weekend emergency Dr Gupta and her staff respond immediately and go into action to get you into her office. I chipped a filling in October of 2020. Due to the pandemic, I did not go in for a cleaning until spring of 2021. They told me I needed a crown, which my insurance would not cover any part of. I did not have the cash for it, so I explained this to them and asked if we could set up a time to patch it (something i COULD afford). I was told the dentist would not do that. So, I upgraded my dental coverage, then had to wait a year for it to cover my crown. At my visit earlier this year, I was told, even with my insurance, a crown would cost me $1,100 out of pocket. So, they told me about BIOCLEAR, a new process that would only cost me $800 out of pocket. This was in February 2022. I needed some time to save up the money. I have it now, so I reached out to them to make my appointment. I was quoted $1,050. In 4 months, this procedure increased $250. I'm walking away at this point because I am tired of not getting the dental treatment I want. And it has felt like a money grab all along. Now, I saved up to finally get this fixed, and I don't have enough. I could try to start saving again, but by the time I do, the cost will go up again. They did offer financing, but no thanks. On a Friday, I slipped on some concrete and chipped my tooth. Saturday morning I call the dentist office and ask to be seen to help repair the tooth. Dr. Gupta cancelled her personal plans to see me that afternoon. For a very fair price, and 30 minutes of work, my smile looked as good as new. So grateful to have found this gem. read more

Very Happy Dr. Gupta is my dentist! I don't have a lot of money but one of my front Canine teeth was having a substantial amount of decay. I though my only option was to pull it but she really thought it was important that I save the tooth and preserve my other teeth. I am 54 so some of my teeth are starting to have problems plus I'm a diabetic. I am so glad she told me to make the investment to save the tooth and try to preserve the rest of my dental health. She is very competent and when the first crown came in but was not exactly right she insisted on doing it again and getting it exact. I really appreciate the caring way Dr. Gupta runs her practice.
