Dr. Shebani is incredible. She is so kind, so caring, and has a calming presence. My daughter has zero fear when coming to see her. If your small child has a cavity on their baby teeth and you've been told they need to go under general anesthesia for silver crowns like WE were told, come see Dr. Shebani. She uses composite fillings (tooth color) with no need for general anesthesia. I'm SO glad I got a second opinion! read more

When you approach this building it's very inviting and colorful! We were referred here by a friend of mine. Sometimes that's all it takes right? I read the reviews for this place as I was sitting in the lobby. The common negative review piece I kept seeing was about "Time" or waiting in the Lobby. So let's address this for everyone! Especially for the parents! Hope this helps ease the mind. This was my daughters 1st visit! In most cases children are terrified going into the unknown. My experience as a child at the dentist was horrible along with my wife's! So you could only imagine my concern and trying to stay poised for my daughters sake. We didn't have to wait long, however this is my take on "Time or Waiting" at the Dentist with these little impressionable minds. DON'T RUSH IT! Put yourself in this scenario. Your child terrified, nervous or had a bad experience prior. Young and not understanding what's happening. You would want the dentist to take the time to slow down and have calming movements to makes things go smoothly! Now that being said, out of the way! Knowing how children are with a dentist I'd gladly wait so that they get proper treatment and are excited about coming back. Dr Shebani was simply amazing with my little one. Her assistants were also very kind and understanding every step of the way. I mean the little things, listening to her asking her questions and making her comfortable. For example: She had her tray of dental tools. The gear and shield tooth cover that she called a tooth blanket. Asked her if she wanted to feel it and see One of the biggest examples were also when she asked about the laughing gas, she asked my daughter what flavor she would like. Allowed her to feel it on her before starting to get her to feel comfortable. The best misdirection was also during the cavity fill she said she was going to brush her teeth when in fact she was using the bit to remove the decay. Top quality care! This was my son's first visit to the dentist and it was amazing. It is wonderfully colorful and inviting the second you walk in. There is plenty for them to do as they wait. Alina was the person that worked on his teeth and she was amazing! She explained everything that she was doing and she made it a lot of fun for my son. Who laughs when they go to the dentist? Dr. Shebani has been our son's dentist since his first tooth came in. Her staff is caring, attentive and quite good. They get our son - who does not like going to the dentist - to do everything they need to keep his teeth healthy and clean. The doctor herself is amazingly kind and caring. I used to be very happy with the clinic, but over the last year or two it has been nothing but a disappointment. Each time I go in, the wait is over an hour. I had to reschedule at one point since I had two kiddos with me and they lost their patience. Dr. Shebani recommended an appliance for my child and a year later recommended another type of appliance to benefit her and not the interest of my child. They are money hungry- she also does botox as her other business. I think a dentist should have one focus and not multiple. Dr. Kim that is the other dentist there- he is a whole other story - not recommended. read more

If you plan on going here make sure your day is wide open because we sat for over 1 hr 40 minutes to see the dentist. I finally got so fed up that we walked out. Our appt was at 10:30 and did not get called back until after 11. They need to figure their schedule out or something. We've been going here for years and never had this issue, I'm not sure what's changed but our last 2 appts (just a regular cleaning appt) this has happened. I wanted to give them one more chance to improve and it only got worse. We will definitely be finding a new dentist. read more

Watch out!!!! Took my son to take care of his fillings. I'm disappointed about the final bill I received. They failed to mention what they charge about $300+ per filing. Insurance paid they part but now I'm stuck with a $800+ bill. Definitely a lack of communicating the charges up front. UPDATE: Dentistry for Children also sent me to collections recently and I was sent an $11,000 bill from Legacy Salmon Creek where Dr. Amna Shebani performed the dental work on my son. We started bring our son to Dentistry for Children shortly after he turned one. He will be five in June. Upon entering the office we are greeted by office staff who check us in. I make sure we arrive at least 15 mins early so my son can play. The waiting area is amazing. There is an over head train with a start/stop button at the children's level. A large table (child size in height) with paper and crayons. A play kitchen with accessories, trucks and a few other toys. There is a Thomas The Train style table set up with enough tracks that several children can play trains at one time. There is usually a movie playing, too. Each exam room has a tv playing. My son now likes the chair to raise and lay back. That was not always the case. He is comfortable now because of the care and communication the hygienists show each time we go there. He absolutely hates the grit of the polish and it's taste. They are always so kind and patient with him. Willing to try finer or courser polish and different flavors. Communicating what they are doing and NEVER pushing him beyond his comfort. Dr. Shebani is amazing. She is warm, kind and caring. She is one of those people that you just like. It is hard to quantify in writing. She makes you feel good. She puts you at ease. After the exam my son picks out a toy from the toy room then it's back to the waiting room for more play. This gives me plenty of time to make his next appointment. At some point during our visit the "Toy Man" will come over and say hi, engage with my son and show him a magic trick. Once it's time to leave I have to pull him away. I think he'd spend hours there if allowed. On a recent visit I was frustrated with my son because I felt he could have been more cooperative (he was being a stinker about the texture of the polish). They knew this and once again were so kind. They reminded me he's only four, that he did a good job, and it will get easier as he gets older. They were not phased by him not cooperating, they understood that he's a child and helped me to have a more reasonable expectation. That meant a lot to me and was a great example of how they really do care. As much as my child may hate the texture of the polish, every time we drive by the office he asks if we can go to the dentist. It's just that great there. read more

First of all, as soon as you walk in, you know this place is different. It is like a mini wonderland jammed with toys and visual art for kids. They will forget why they are even there. Next, Dr. Shebani is kind, soft-spoken, patient and non-judgmental. I took my 2 year old to her long after I should have with nursing caries (yes, it is the worse mess up I have made as a parent and I still feel horrible about it). She told me the good and the bad, what she thought she might find, what she hoped to find, and how we could deal with both. She was very reassuring and knowledgeable about the whole process. She used what I would call state of the art xray and computer tech, and allowed the baby to sit on my lap the whole time, and even breastfeed in between. Finally, when the work was done, it was thorough and beautiful (though not cheap). He is not scared to go again (he is wary) even though she did some drilling and filling in the office on the first visit! His teeth look great and I will be taking my two older sons in soon for check ups. As a bonus, the kids get a bag of all kinds of cool dental things that they pick out, including a toy they pick themselves. One appointment was on Halloween and they had all kinds of stuff for the kids and adults, yes, including candy! read more

Such an inviting space for children with sincerely warm, friendly, and welcoming staff. My daughter truly enjoys her time here, which makes this "dentist anxiety" mama super happy. Dr. Shebani and her husband, who manages the clinic, are extremely kind and caring people. You can see from one visit how much they really do enjoy working with children, because they are masters at it! My daughter's (age 4) highlights: the lobby/playroom, complete with play kitchen, coloring table, toys, books, computer and a train that runs above that she can turn on with a push of the big red button! They also have tv's to watch their favorite shows at each exam chair. After a quick (I mean quick) and thorough cleaning and exam, she was able to go to the "toy room" to pick out a couple special trinkets to take home with her baggy of dental supplies. Before checking out Mr. Toyman loaded her up with even more goodies to take home. Needless to say, my little one was a very happy little girl walking in, AND walking out. Update! Make sure your insurance is in order, because if you end up with a bill from this office is extremely expensive!!! There was a mistake with my insurance and the service date, so my insurance deny coverage and the office is billing me $245 dollars for flossing my 2 year old son's little teeth, oh! and a plastic toy... Nice office and all, but extremely expensive :/ The office is like Wonderland, and the service is first class! I took my toddler for his second check up, and surprisingly he did not want to leave! I was amazed, since his first dentist check up was made elsewhere, and he did not enjoy it at all. I will be bringing my two kids to this office for as long as I can! read more

I have been here for years, but today as i had a bad experience and an upset customer....dr. shebani's husband chose to not listen to why we were upset. But said he didnt need our business and told my husband to get out in front of my child!!! And pointing his finger at my husband the whole time!!! I then called there because i could not believe how my husband was treated but he too did not want to hear anything i wanted to say. I had to scream to get even a word in and he hung up on me...a customer!!!! Never have i been talked to or treated like this as adult ever. Her husband does not understand customer service. If you wanted to be treated like crap then this ia the place for you!! He does not know how to deal with an unhappy customer and should not be working in the front office!! read more

Wow!!! This place was amazing to say the least. My 6 year old visited for the first time today and was beaming when she came out even after being told that a broken tooth would have to be pulled out. The office staff was incredible and hygienist absolutely wonderful! The Dr explained all of our options very clearly and gave appropriate recommendations. My daughter was at ease and comfort the entire time. I would recommend this place to anyone! The design alone is stunning and perfect environment for children having to visit a place that is sometime not so fun. I only wished my dentist office was that cool! 10 stars! read more

We took our daughter here for her first dental appointment when she turned two. Our first experience with Dr. Staci was excellent. The hygienist took her time showing our daughter how things worked and was even able to polish her teeth. Dr. Staci spent some time talking with us and gave our daughter a thorough exam. Our daughter LOVED going to the dentist. We were excited to come back 6 months later to see Dr Staci again. However, when we returned this December, Dr. Staci was no longer there, and no one on staff had notified us. Our 2.5 year old is very shy around men, and now they had us scheduled with a male doctor that we didn't want to see. Compared to our first visit, the place was very noisy and chaotic. The hygienist really didn't take any time to explain things or show things to our daughter, and didn't really even seem comfortable around toddlers. She polished her teeth, but didn't even warn her when she was going to use the water pick, or the suction. At my dentist they even warn me before they do that. We had to wait a long time to see the Dr. When he came in he gave a quick exam and pronounced "no cavities" without really even looking at all her teeth. Between the hygienist and the Dr, they spent MAYBE a total of 5 minutes in the room with us. It was disappointing that they didn't seem to have time to give a good cleaning, or even a good exam. We won't be going back since we specifically wanted a female dentist for our daughter and they switched things up without notifying us. Its very unprofessional. Good points: They let your toddler sit in your lap, they can watch cartoons during the cleaning, and get to pick 2 toys from the treasure room afterwards. I wish our second experience here could have been more like the first. I guess we'll have to find out where Dr. Staci is working and go there! read more

I have been taking my children here since they were born. My oldest son is 13. Dr. Shebani is very caring and treats her patients as if they were her own children. They make dental visits for children comforting so it won't traumatize them when they get older. I highly recommend their dental office for any parent looking for a dentist. KNOW YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE. I love Dentistry for Children and have brought my kids there for 13 years. But I was told today that they will not be responsible for knowing what is covered by my insurance (like X-rays or fluoride treatment). In my case, they applied fluoride to 3 kids without checking if it was covered. And it wasn't, since the kids all got it 6 months ago. That cost racks up quickly. Bring a copy of your benefits with you to tell them what you will allow. read more

We have 3 kids who we have taken here for years. I have no issue with the quality of the actual dental work itself...that is when they eventually get around to doing the work !! And that's my issue. Every time I took my kids there over the years I was so frustrated by their inefficient scheduling, overbooking or slow work habits (never could figure out what it was) or that would cause us to sit around for ridiculous amounts of time in the dentistry chair with repeated "we will be right back" or "we will be with you shortly" , "any minute now" with anywhere from 5 -- 15 minute delays in between. Totally disrespectful, frustrating and unfair to the kids. They will call you into the back to seat your kid (and your kind of excited to begin and get it done) but then you and your kids proceed to sit there forever - and for a young kid that's not practical nor does it enhance their dental experience. For me as a parent its very annoying and constitutes poor service. And they don't seem to care because it happens repeatedly. The lack of caring is the result of complacency that occurs when, despite this poor practice, they rationalize by basically not determining it's worth their time or bother to improve such a woeful aspect of their business practice, the money's good either way !. I really hated it. Nevertheless, we endured over the years because it's close to home (an school) and the orthodontist we use across the parking lot. Now that our kids have reached puberty, we have migrated out to the adult dentist group we've gone to for years - highly efficient, professional, no waiting - once seated in chair, treatment begins immediately. That's how it should be done. So much more enjoyable. My kids of course out grew the kiddie atmosphere too which was bound to happen. So good to be out of this place. If I could do it over, knowing what I know now, as a young parent, I'd start elsewhere. Happy dentist shopping :) read more

So, My son was having tooth pain, I came in and Doc Shibani said he has a baby root canal and few small cavities... and the best way to treat it is putting my son to sleep...She kept telling me that I shouldn't extract the infected tooth, because it will ruin his teeth...I trusted her, the office staff gave me a quote , a week before my son's appointment I paid my deduction and they told me that I didn't owe anything .Day of sons appointment, Doc. Shibani tells me that mom it's all good, she will try to save the tooth but if she can't it's fine to take it out.. I was really upset, and understood that she just didn't want to deal with my son and was easier to put him to sleep while fixing his teeth! And on top of that, was fixing supposelly new cavities that weren't found in the first appointment. A few weeks later, I received another bill for over $600..I was really upset and called them. Tiffiany said no, thats how it is, they don't know for sure how much it will be...nothing she can do for me! So Thanks to Dentistry for children I've learned a good lesson! Don't trust them! get an accurate quote as much as you can with them signing it! Don't trust Doc. Shibani with her judgement, in the end it's not your childs welfare but $$$ in there pockets, Do your own research! Yes the office is beautifully decorated, but don't be fooled by that! read more
