I have had many tooth extractions and root canals in my life.this was the worst by far ,Dr Jenson was the best ,but now he is retiring and the new owner Natalya juson dmd extracted one of my lower teeth.it was the worst continual pain ever.i felt every thing she was doing.she had me raise my hand when pain got to bad and stopped for a minute.she stated that tooth is very loose now and should come out now,this happened at least 10 more times of me raising my hand and her saying it is very loose and ready to go .I have had at least 10 of my teeth extracted and never have gone thru so much pain !!!. read more

Doctor Jensen is amazing! Back in April my mother was suffering severe tooth and gum aches and was suffering. We called her usual dentist to see if we can make a emergency visit, but they were not able to see her and did not return any of my calls. Desperate, I called my dentist, and I was surprised that they provided a cell number for Dr. Jensen in case of emergencies. He picked up the call immediately, and after hearing the symptoms, said he could be at the office and to bring her in. How grateful we were, that Dr. Jensen was able to take care of my my mother, fixed her up, and made her feel welcome and relaxed. When no one else would see her, and she wasn't even a patient of his, Dr. Jensen went beyond to help. Including a follow-up call after hours! I have the worst fear of dentists, and he's the only one I will see. Definitely recommend! read more

I have never left a review anywhere but felt inclined to do so for this establishment. I have extremely severe dental anxiety, I cry thinking about having to go in and get my teeth scraped at or drilled into so I was very pleased to see this place had a five star rating and to read all the pleasant reviews people have left. When I called to make an appointment I cried on the phone to the lady I was speaking too letting her know how bad my anxiety was and all the bad experiences I've had at previous dentists. The lady I spoke to was so kind and comforting and made me feel like I was making a good decision. I decided to make an appointment with them after putting off the dentist for 2 years because of my anxiety, unfortunately my experience there did not live up to my expectations. When Dr Jensen came into the room he immediately said that when he sees a patient come in and immediately start crying that he qualifies that as a "high anxiety patient" insinuating that since I'm not crying and my hands are not going purple from clenching so hard that in his eyes I do not have "high anxiety" but a "little bit of dental anxiety" downplaying what I tried so hard to convey to them that was a serious thing for me, all while he touched my hands as well as putting his hands on my shoulders when there was no need for him to physical touch me. When I asked about the healing time for wisdom teeth and told him how I am a full time athlete training for the Olympics so I need to plan out time off his response was "well the Olympics aren't for a long time" (fyi it's next year) in a very disrespectful manner, anyone qualified in sports understands that taking time off is not that simple for an elite athlete and there are multiple competitions that you have to qualify for to get to the next level of competition that are usually spread out over a year. I left feeling extremely invalidated and disrespected. I will not be coming back and hopefully I can find a dentist around here that isn't garbage at their job and knows how to speak to other people with respect. The only good part of this place was the front desk receptionist that I spoke to over the phone and in person, she was the only person in there that made me feel comfortable. read more

Dentists have a bad rap. No one likes to schedule a visit to hear the whining screech of a drill or to have tartar scraped from their teeth. My daughter has always been a brave soul when it came to routine visits but when we moved up to WA, our trusted dentist was no longer an option. We took her to the first obvious choice... "Gentle Dental". What a complete misnomer! The staff was overbearing and lacked any likeness to gentleness. We were referred to Mill Plain Dental by a family friend and received 5-star care. The staff from reception to Dr. Mike are all truly wonderful. Our girl ended up having to have a root canal caused from a loose filling. In my experience, root canals are painful, lengthy and expensive. Not so on our visit. I am more than happy to recommend this dental office to anyone who may be leery from previous bad experiences. You will receive thoughtful consultation before a procedure is performed. You'll receive an estimate of what the procedure will cost beforehand. And, you'll receive quality dental care. read more

Was really grateful they got my husband in immediately for his dental emergency. Was disappointed though when I waited for him in the waiting room, I could hear the front office staff talking about other patients while going over the schedule. "This lady is crazy haha" and "this lady never shows up". I just don't feel like that's professional and it makes me wonder what they are going to say about us after we leave in front of other patients. My Young daughter Megan was a patient of Dr. Mike ' s prior to our move to Oregon almost 3 years ago. When she first went to their office Megan had a lot of anxiety, the staff made her feel very comfortable. Megan had been to his office for a hand full of visits over her few years as a patient & each visit she became more & more relaxed. When Megan was 10 she was hit in the mouth durring a softball game. One of her big beautiful front teeth was broken in half. Megan was understandably scared & so was I. I called Dr. Mike on the after hours emergency # & he had just made it home from work. He said to meet him at the office in a half hour, he would head right back. Without any help Dr. Mike reattached the broken piece of tooth & it looked GREAT! Now almost 3 years later Megan has established care with an office near where we live. The tooth that was fixed by Dr. Mike still looks AMAZING! Even in the x-rays her tooth looks ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!! Megan will be getting braces in a couple weeks and I was scared they would not be able to attach to the tooth that had been broken. The orthodontist had to look at the x-rays closer because on first inspection she couldn't tell that it had been broken :D They were VERY impressed with the work Dr. Mike did on Megan's tooth! I had my first experience with Mill Plain Dental yesterday (Fri. Oct. 9th), had to have a tooth pulled that had been causing me excruciating pain for 2.5 days. Absolutely the best dental experience I've ever had in my 60 years. Recently moved to the area. Read reviews. Made an appointment for routine cleaning. Found out I had a cracked tooth. Needed a crown. I've had them before and dread everything about the procedure. Dr. Jensen and his staff made the experience wonderful. Headphones with music, told me what they we're doing and more. Dr. Mike & his awesome team are the best Dentistry group in Vancouver. I'm so glad I found them after years of going to other dentists, who were just unsatisfactory. The staff is friendly & very kind. If you are afraid of the dentist chair, they try & make you feel comfortable. It's really fun to be there because they all have a great sense of humour, so before you know it, you're relaxed. Even with all of that aside, Dr. Mike's work is very quick & has always been completely painless. I had four teeth pulled and it was so easy & quick... And I felt nothing! Even the after care was pain free... He has the magic touch! Everyone in the office is just really genuine, & the front office girls are so unbelievably sweet, & always so helpful. I found good reviews and a special via Angie's List. I am picky about dentists and I was very happy with my first visit . Emily was a great hygienist and I really appreciate them keeping overhead low so prices are affordable for times when you don't have insurance. Some dental offices are packed with so much expensive gear that they have to charge more and find more work to cover the cost. Good basic dental care here. read more

Don't even bother. The staff would rather argue with you than help you. This Dentist would be well served to hire staff that know at least something about customer service and don't talk down to prospective patients. Of the half a dozen Dental Offices I called (And asked some very simple questions to) this place was far and away the very worst.
