I was a bit taken aback when a hearse arrived with two gentlemen who said they worked for a funeral home came to the door; then they quickly told they do pick ups for Lone Star. They were kind, polite and considerate. After I was notified, I drove to their facility to pick up my husbands ashes, and received the death certificates. They had also notified Social Security about the change in status, and I received SSA without any change in schedule. I highly recommend this company. I was able to make all the arrangements over the internet and pay with a credit card.

All I did was forward the previous emails to them and they finally got it. They dragged out the process so I have to wait 10-14 days longer than I should have to get the death certificates. They didn't guarantee a specific date, but their estimate of 7-10 days turned into two weeks. When I went to pick up my wife's ashes she was just in a paper bag on the floor with many others. Watching her haphazardly search through the bags on the floor was horrifying. I would not recommend their service to anyone.

I bit the bullet took her to VEG ER for Pets, only to find out she had advanced congestive heart failure. I don't believe in putting animals down, so I went for surgery. The team was great, they did everything they could ultrasound, removed 2 12 once cans of fluid which was preventing her from eating. They gave me some discounts making the emergency visit more reasonable then normal. I get home with her, let her come out of the carrier by herself, then she moved over to the couch stayed there for some time, then she jumped off the couch heading to the bedroom wobbling, then i heard the most horrible scream of pain and she just fell. I went to pick her up she was limp, I shook her and she came too, called the vet then went back, while driving to the vet she was talking to me, when I arrive, they start working on her and her heart stopped. I told them DNR. They brought me into a consoling room to be with her gave me as much time as I wanted. Finally, when I was ready to leave, they offered cremation services which was very expensive, so I declined they gave me a cardboard coffin and went back home to do some research. While conducting research I found Pet Passages online. They made the process very easy, you order online, you bring your animal in then they take care of the rest. I like the fact pricing is all up front, no games, no guesses. The owner was really nice and totally understood what I was going through, he just lost his dog a few weeks ago. He pulled Josie out put her out on the table you see here attached. The waterfall feature in the room made it perfect to hold her one last time and greave. May she rest in peace.

From the moment we arrived, they treated our family, and Wilson, with such kindness, dignity, and care. They allowed us to take our time saying goodbye in a serene, calming setting and never made us feel rushed. That meant everything to us. Losing a pet is incredibly painful, but the way they guided us through the process made it feel gentle and respectful. We are so grateful to Pet Passages & Dr. McPherson for helping Wilson cross the rainbow bridge with such compassion.

I immediately applied for graduate school at the University of Houston, and was accepted by my eventual dissertation chair, Dr. Art Jago; I began my foray into the international world with an amazing externship in a newly democratic Budapest, Hungary, and its own International Management Center. At the job, I met his Royal Highness, Prince Charles, who was interested in seeing democracy in action, and easing the transition from the Russian Communist Party rule. Perestroika and Glasnost were Russia's driving slogans, meaning "Cultural Openness" and Seizing the opportunity for radical changes, which could initiate economic growth by the making the offer of a profitable venture. What is IOOF? Well it stands for Independent Order of Odd Fellows…read more This might sound super weird but cemeteries are great places to learn about local history! The McCormick family is buried here which so happens to be a prominent street name in Denton. Their graveyard was established in 1859 and there's people buried from Civil War time. There's also WWII and Texas Revolution veterans buried here as well. The pioneers of Denton and what made this town are the ones whose souls lie here. It's just cool to see old tombstones and to read about people. There were quite a few people who had died in a fire and I wonder if that was commonplace back then. This is also a chill spot that people go and smoke at night in. I've never done it but I imagine the spirit of Denton is cool with it.
