My lower denture (partial) broke in half, unexpectedly--leaving me feeling, understandably, very self-conscious. It had been repaired only a few months ago, for the same reason--so, the need to repair it as expediently as possible, was urgent. The previous dental office's lab had only reinforced it with a thinner metal version And only on One Side!--which proved to be insufficient. A more comprehensive reinforcement for additional strength and longevity would have been more desirable--But what did I know at the time? After a quick google search, I found Denture Repair Lab in Pawtucket, R.I, I hoped to find someplace that could not only improve the final outcome--But that also offered a more expedient process. They offer timely shipping options--but since I live in R.I. , it wasn't t necessary--which worked out well. On entering their business, I encountered a very gentle, informative, and personable young woman who detailed what could be done to not only repair my lower, broken partial--But to make it stronger and more resilient. The male technician who worked on my repair (restoration +) was equally as personable and professional--walking me through the work process. And this time around, he impressed upon me that the work would provide less of a band-aide fix--but would reinforce my acrylic-based partial with multi-layered strands of stainless steel stretching across the entire denture, rather than Only on One side! After inspection, they also let me know that two of my teeth had small cracks in them. That would have been an additional charge, so I opted to forego that step--for now--given it wasn't imperative--And would have added to the bill. However, I was very appreciative that the tech. decided to add an additional material where the cracks were to allow for more durability in those areas too--without an additional charge! Very nice of him! I attribute that gesture to his apparent high work-ethic. I'm also hopeful--But confident--that this time around the repair will be longer lasting--which is what the technician reassured me of. I guess time will tell--And will be indicative of how I personally care for the denture. My understanding is that the repaired partial should replicate a more resilient version of a metal denture framework, whereas an acrylic--can be more cost effective--but prone to more frequent breakage. Cost was a bit pricey, and a little unexpected--But I felt somewhat justifiable when you consider the expediency of the repair (next day) --although they advertise sometimes in One Day--And the importance of a quick turnaround time considering the self-conscious factor, and practicality of being able to smile and eat normally again. I am writing this review for my boyfriend. His dentures were a mess. The uppers were broke in three pieces, cracked everywhere, and needed glued every day to be marginally functional. The lowers were missing a tooth and were also broke. He was not able to eat anything harder than applesauce for months. When we finally had enough money saved to see a dentist, David insisted he see a dentist with a dental lab on site. He went to three dentists (one being a major national lab), all three told him the only way to fix the problems was to have $18,000.00 worth of dental work done. One tried to fix the teeth, but could not get them right and the dentures would not sit right in his mouth. We then found Denture Repair Lab online and lucky for us, we live only four hours North of Denture Repair Lab, David called them and spoke with Lena, she assured David that her husband George was the best and could fix anything. She suggested we mail the dentures, but David knew the dentures were still broke close to beyond repair, so we drove the four hours to their lab. He met with George and his assistant Giovanni and George assured David he could absolutely fix them. George stated, "I am the best and can fix anything." David, being fully assured of George's competence gave them the uppers and the lowers to be fixed and while waiting for George's initial inspection, David noticed stacks and stacks of "Thank you" letters written to George--there were enough letters to wallpaper the inside of the office at least three times. George called David in just before 5:00 p.m., fit them and they were finished, both the uppers and lowers were completely renovated and were BETTER than NEW!!!! They looked ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and fit perfectly! George, Giovanni and Lena did what no dentist or dental lab was willing to do for David, fix his teeth at an affordable cost and in a timely manner. The total cost for the repair---$900.00 and worth every penny, total time: 7 hours. Denture Repair Lab is the only lab David will ever use again. David will make the trip to Rhode Island twice a year for cleanings and inspections because he now trusts no other lab with his teeth. It has been two months since the repair and they still fit perfectly, look beautiful, but most importantly, he can eat again and smile with confidence. This experience made me question the value of the premium I paid for Express Mail, as I believe regular flat-rate priority mail may have sufficed. The prolonged wait without my dentures had significant consequences. I developed a sore mouth and even experienced tooth pain due to the inability to wear them during meals. This discomfort further emphasized the urgency I had placed on the timely repair of my dentures. Additionally, it was disheartening to discover that the repair they had conducted just a year ago began to deteriorate, with holes and cracks appearing. While I acknowledge that wear and tear is natural, I expected a repair from a reputable lab to last longer than it did. It was disappointing to find out that the repair was out of warranty, leaving me in a frustrating predicament. I understand that mistakes happen and that things don't last forever. However, for a lab that touts itself as the largest in the country with exclusively positive ratings on its website, I expected a higher level of service. Regrettably, my experience did not align with their purported reputation. In summary, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend the Denture Repair Lab in Pawtucket, RI. My experience was marked by high costs, unfulfilled promises, and ultimately, a less-than-satisfactory repair. I can't express my gratitude enough for the beautiful, perfect new top denture I received today. My first visit was on September 17th due to a top front tooth popping out. At that time, I just wanted a repair but clearly after 24 years I definitely needed a new plate. Since the moment I met George he made me feel heard and spent a lot of time explaining everything and every option. I recently tried denture repair for the first time. I found denture repair lab on Google and I thought it sounded like a good option. However I don't have a lot of money to spend, and I had some serious reservations about sending these through the mail. I am happy to say that the process was extremely easy, and the quality of the repair was superb. I didn't realize how bad the denture had gotten. They fixed 3 teeth and 2 cracks.
