The best dentist experience I've had... Period. Came to LeDowns because i had not been to the dentist in 3 years. Why pay for dental insurance when you dont use it? I thought it was going to be filled with pain and anxiety. Completely the opposite. 1st appointment - cleaning - the dental assistant had a magical touch. It didnt hurt at all. She was fast and gentle. They did the chin x-rays, bite down x rays, and even a video of my teeth. 2nd appointment - cavity and filling replacement- dr. Zalesky was great. First, they numb the living heck out of your tooth and the drill is electric so it barely makes a sound. If that's not enough, he is fast! Less than 15 minutes once the sedation kicked in. I have been a patient of Dr . Downs for many years. every visit he and his staff push me to buy services that are expensive and not covered by insurance. Their focus has shifted from dental care to aggressive upselling of additional services and products. Beware. Profit, not patient, is their priority. read more

Who writes a review while sitting in the dentist chair waiting to get fillings? ‍ This office is second to none. Absolutely the best of the worst places to be. I've never come across a dentist and a staff who CONSISTENTLY practice patience, respect, kindness, and empathy. I've been to too many dentists and I can't rave enough about Dr. Zalesky and his team. Post appt: I can't believe I was in and out of a dentist's office in under and hour. I hadn't been there in a year, so when I arrived Dr. Z went over all of my complaints and listened to my long-winded bologna like a champ. Never once did I feel judged or minimized as I have in so many other dentist chairs. Then came the TWO fillings: fastest and most painless experience!!! LeDowns Dentistry is one of the most wonderful dental practices I have ever known. My grandfather was a dentist and I tend to have high expectations as a result. Dr. Downs has far exceeded all of them. He is kind, attentive, thoughtful and thorough. On many occasions he has spent extra time explaining a procedure or issue to me. I never feel rushed or overlooked. Most important, he is compassionate. Dentistry can be scary/painful/expensive, etc. and Dr. Downs is understanding and patient through it all. It's easy to see that he is passionate about his practice and truly in the business of providing care to his patients. His office staff is wonderful too. In particular, the women at the front desk are always on top of it. They also go above and beyond and make it easy to book, pay, etc. The prices are fair for the excellent service you receive, the office is clean and has many state of the art instruments. Awesome office! Despite the masks, you could tell everyone was smiling and having fun. Great choice of music, too. Everyone made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Having had very unpleasant experiences in other offices, this office is truly one of a kind! Hien did a phenomenal job cleaning my teeth, and worked really hard to clean a few spots with a lot of build up. Previously, getting my teeth cleaned had been painful and unpleasant, but With Hien I literally didn't feel a thing! The assistant, Nikki, was awesome, too. When Dr. Downs came in for the examination portion, he was very knowledgeable and showed me many different things about my mouth that I never knew before. He took the time to explain the little things and was able to show me a 3D model of my mouth which was really cool to see. I learned a lot from the time Dr. Downs spent with me! If you have had a sucky experience at a different office I highly recommend you come pay this office a visit! I've never been excited to go back to the Dentist's Office before! read more

I love love love Dr. Downs and his staff. I specifically want a dentist that specializes in neuromuscular dentistry and he and his team does. They are super friendly and state of the art. I love the confirmation calls and text messages for my busy schedule. I also love the view and cleanliness of the office. I love they take my insurance and provide me reasonable quotes for what my insurance doesn't cover. Btw, dental insurance hasn't changed in over 20 years and 1000-2000 is not enough to cover most problems with teeth. I've been a patient of Dr. Le and Dr. Downs for over 5 years and have been very happy with their work. They are very professional and I'm always impressed with their knowledge, quality and how gentle they are when working on me. They are very generous people and I always sense that they truly care for their patients. I remember a time when I had a chipped front tooth over the weekend. I was very desperate as I had a job interview coming up. This tooth was already loose from an accident during my deployment to Iraq in the Marine Corps. I called their office, expecting to get a voicemail. I was able to get a hold of Dr. Downs because he was on call that weekend. He actually came in on a Saturday to fix my tooth and was so gracious about it. And I didn't even get billed for a trip charge! You don't get that type of service anymore when it comes to dentists/doctors. However, Dr. Downs made it happen. Thanks Dr. Downs and Dr. Le. You guys are the best and I love your staff too. My insecurity of a missing tooth immediately faded as I got used to my even better tooth. Dr. Le even explained to me about teeth whitening and it worked great! I was able to match the hue of the new tooth. Now I have an even whiter smile! They are always very clear with the financial part of all my treatment. I'm not sure why the other reviews say what they say but all the times I've been with Dr. Le and Dr. Downs, I was very aware of my financial obligation before my treatment was ever performed. Having a military background has made me a type of person to be very detailed and blunt with expectations. I am very upfront believe me. I will tell you my thoughts. That's another reason why I like them so much because they are very thorough about the treatment costs with me upfront and I don't ever feel like I'm "surprised" with anything when I walk up to the front to pay my bill. Check that they actually accept your insurance (more than just listed on the website). I have Tricare (United Concordia) which covers 100% of my cleanings but today they told me that it was a "promotion" that covered the rest of the fee after what the insurance allows. They get $80 from my insurance and wanted me to cover the other $97 of their normal price. This is not accepting insurance. It shouldn't be listed on their website. Be warned and check before you book. They lost my family as a customer. read more

They are highly efficient with paperwork and getting a new patient set up. So far I have had a teeth cleaning, x-rays, and molds made for a mouth guard. They have been efficient, friendly, and easy to interact with. They have pretty new technology and seem to know their stuff. They got me in quickly, worked with my insurance better than I could have hoped or dreamed, took full xrays with state of the art equipment, fixed my smile (took off the horrific calculus that had built up and broken bonding I had lived with far too long and didn't think I could afford to fix) immediately - I mean immediately! I stand by the integrity of my review. Using slander is uncalled for as a response, Dr. I am extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism I have experienced as a whole. It is evidence to my previous comment of, "missing the boat". I would like to clarify for the, Yelp Community. THE ONLY correspondence I received was that my account was being sent to collections via 1 voicemail message. It is not about the charge. I was either incorrectly quoted, and/or while I was literally in Dr. Downs chair, he did not relay the additional cost of the scan; therefore, he didn't allow for the patient to make an informed decision. Both instances are unacceptable. It is about being taken advantage of. It is about the practices responsibility to clearly communicate costs. It is about taking responsibility when mistakes are made as opposed to shifting blame to the patient. It is about how this problem was handled without a drop of competence and communication toward a solution. I still do not recommend a new patient to step foot into this office and even more strongly after the Dr.'s response. No patient should have to tolerate this level of care. My hope is that my review (coupled with the others that mention a similar experience) blows the whistle. The communication gap that comes across as fraudulent is something the office can work on in order to avoid future unsatisfied patients. read more
