DO NOT USE THESE GUYS The technician was prompt and on time but seemed very uncomfortable and checked out. He asked to see the vent and return locations so I showed him but he really didn't seem to pay attention. After a quick walkthrough he offered a "special" discount to clean the furnace of $249, which I had no interest in but wanted to placate the poor kid so I told him I'd think about it. I also let him know I'd be going around removing the vents that would be difficult as they've been painted over many times and to expedite the job and make it easier for him. He informed me he was going to open up the furnace and shut it down and just take pictures to show me. Again I told him it was only a year old but if that's what he wanted to do and needed to do it for the job to go ahead. RED FLAG NUMBER 1: Midway through the first two ducts he asked if I had thought more about the furnace cleaning and showed me some pictures to which I kindly declined. He then asked if he were to offer me a lower rate would I reconsider. In the email sent to me they offer an add on for furnace cleaning at $199..... RED FLAG NUMBER 2: I noticed some of the air ducts were covered and some were not. I showed him one additional return I'd forgotten about and made clear to point out to him its location. Not only did he miss it he also didn't cover it either and as he began on the main return a MASSIVE cloud of dust began pouring out of it and I had to quickly get him to stop. He seemed virtually unfazed by it and nonchalantly tipped the return cover on the opening. THE AFTERMATH: (where it gets really bad) With the "technician" signaling that the job was complete I hurriedly began to put my vent covers back on while he packed up only to discover that each supply was taped inside with asbestos tape and I had a mini heart attack. I quickly went to get duct sealant and get everything contained before the system spread freshly agitated asbestos around the house. I told the "technician" and he literally had no response about it. -This part gets me. This kid had been blowing all kinds of stuff close to his face for three hours and had no mask and seemingly no knowledge of asbestos. The owner of this company seemingly only cares about profit and not safety. While putting the vent covers back on I figured to take some pictures and see. There were piles of debris right at the bottom of the returns... I then checked the rest of the house and realized it was even worse down stairs, missing one of the TWO returns. The mechanical room had dirt and dust everywhere and the trash from his access cuts. I promptly reached out to the company and said I was extremely disappointed especially considering I had to clear my schedule and my partner had to vacate and work elsewhere with our new dog. I was told by Shiloh from Denver Ducts on the phone that she was terribly sorry and they would send out their project inspector and if necessary offer a re-clean. At this point I wasn't interested in repeating this process but said I was open to just getting a credit and moving on. As the night progressed and I continued to clean our house to make it livable again I shined a flashlight in the ducts and took a further look and became mortified. There were piles of debris in all the returns including right where I showed the technician I had noticed visible debris in the main return. I forwarded my further finds to their email with pictures and stated clearly that I wanted my money back as the job simply had not been done. They told me I would hear back in 24hrs and this was on 2/15.... I have heard nothing. And it's 2/20. OVERALL IMPRESSION: Don't even consider these guys for a second. It's clearly a turn and burn operation and they simply don't care about the customer or their employees for that matter. If I could redo the whole thing I would have spent more and used Monster Vac from the start and ultimately will once the asbestos is abated. I didn't know much about ducts and services offered. I did some research, asked some questions, and everything went exactly as expected. I saw the negative reviews, and those were all situations that an educated consumer would have known about, rather than be surprised during the vendor visit (taking vent covers off, ceiling vents, furnace cleaning adds, coil cleaning adds, etc.). Mike was great in answering my upfront questions, and Isaiah was great during the visit. Isaiah was honest about the furnace and coil states, and only recommended one to be done, although I did both. Response time, show up time, actual work, and collection was all done professionally and on point. Oh, and they did a two day turnaround with me after inquiry. Read every word in the ad. I bought the $199 deal but, apparently, it was only to clean the registers and not the ducts, which is ridiculous, who would buy that. The price went from $199 to $349.00. The vacuum they used didn't seem to be sucking very well. What did suck was the hidden fees. read more

Hired them for vent cleaning, was upsold on furnace cleaning for an additional $250. 2 months later, my furnace wasn't working because of dust/dirt. After 2 months of follow up with Denver Ducts, I was only refunded $100. Don't hire them. read more

Josiah came and cleaned our many ducts and did an outstanding job! Truly, it was a challenge, and required a tremendous amount of care and patience., both of which he exhibited. He is a bright, pleasant and dedicated employee and hopefully will have many opportunities to advance. The customer service from the office was mediocre, at best. The appointment was originally and deliberately set for Sat. am from 8-10, and I was called Friday late afternoon, asking if I could change it to 11-1pm because of their need to reroute the truck for better efficiency. (Not sure why that was my problem, but clearly it became mine.) I wasn't pleased, but offered an 11-12 time frame. I was told that was ok, but at 12:15, when I called to find out the status of our appt., I was told that they'd be there closer to 1pm. At 1:20, Josiah came, and started to work. The company offered me a 10% reduction in my cost, which didn't really make up for the inconvenience nor the fact that my entire day was shot. I guess I wonder why you schedule your drivers all over town, rather than having a flow of work that makes sense? So, the cleaning was worth it (we just finished extensive tile and counter top replacement) and lots came out. But, if you do book them, I'd suggest you be prepared for dedicating an entire day to the event. read more

I paid $848 for air duct cleaning and furnace maintenance. The job seemed to go fine but the next morning, my house was 60 degrees although the thermostat was set to 72. I tried adjusting thermostat settings, making sure the power to the furnace was on, etc. I had never had any problems with the furnace before for several years. I called the company and spoke with a supervisor who argued with me about whether they had caused the furnace malfunction. He repeatedly questioned me about whether the furnace worked when the technician left (yes, the furnace would turn on for about a minute at a time, but clearly was not fully working because my house was 60 degrees the next morning). He was very focused on getting me to "admit" that the broken furnace was unrelated to the maintenance done the day before. I did not make any "admissions" on the phone because a lot of these companies record all their phone calls. I felt like he was trying to get me to say something to use against me, rather than helping me solve my problem. The furnace has never had problems for several years until the day they did "maintenance" on it, but the supervisor was telling me that it "might be totally coincidental". I'll let you use your common sense about that one. The correct response to this would have been to just send someone to my house without debating on the phone with me. On the plus side, the technician they sent to fix the problem did a good job. It was apparently just related to a dirty air filter. But after paying about $400 for the furnace maintenance portion, I would have hoped they would have pointed out the day before that the filter was dirty and I should change it. It is a little questionable to me how good a job they did on the "maintenance", since I do not know much about furnaces. After this "maintenance" I had a minor emergency because I was worried my pipes would freeze and I had to take time off of work to get the problem resolved. Even though the person they sent to fix the problem was good, I did not appreciate having to take time off of work and being lectured to about how the problem was probably my fault. I will not use this company for anything in the future. read more

The service itself was great, the ducts are clean. However, I got a call from the tech saying he'd be there between 2-2:30pm with an estimated 3-4 hours for the service. He arrived at 4:30pm and stayed until 10pm. It was a big inconvenience for me because it messed with my evening plans. When the work was done he emailed 52 pictures of the job. The entire job cost $500. That's expensive but we hope it will be worth the cost if it helps to improve our health. Got a mailer and saved it because we wanted to get our ducts and area rugs cleaned. Set up an appointment online, received a confirmation text message the day before, then today, nobody shows up. Apparently, if you schedule an online appt, it allows to overbook in the system. I get it, but that's not my problem, it's about the customer. I called to let them know and supposedly they called me yesterday and left a voicemail (didn't happen, I checked). The offered to come tomorrow and do it, I declined. It was more like "OK, we missed the appointment. So what, we can do it tomorrow." When you want to support small/medium sized businesses and then they react/respond this way for a first time customer I can only imagine what they would do to a repeating customer. Either train/empower your front line customer service representatives to respond to concerns in a more empathetic way, or find people who actually care about customer concerns. I really wanted to support, but I can't do business with business who have employees who operate with a lack of empathy and compassion for paying customers. read more

Multiple places where we have ceiling vents clearly had piles of dirt, dust, and other debris piles on the floor. This was fairly disappointing considering the cost. I would not have expected to cleanup after a company that I paid to clean our duct work. read more

Denver Ducts - had FULL works, duct and HVAC cleaning, including AC and Heating Units. $813.00. Technician took apart the entire heating fan, motor, and assembly, used a corrosive liquid to clean in my garage, including burning himself (arm) in process. Unable to turn on system when done as interior painting was in process - did not want to suck in the paint into newly cleaned ducts. Next day had I had a scheduled thermostat install ($150.00) - swap out old programmable for new non programmable. When technician arrived system was down. He discovered needed a NEW MOTOR part (no doubt from previous days washing, corrosive cleaning). Up-charged $899.00. Complete scam. When I asked about the prior day cleaning and that motor work prior to cleaning, seems like cleaning had something to do with motor failure - especially in light of tripped breaker every time the 2nd guy tried to start HVAC. No response from onsite technician, but "supervisor" would call. I was trapped. They broke furnace motor, then scammed a replacement, and no one has ever called back and discussed why my thermostat install went to a motor replacement. read more

We had a great experience with Denver Ducts! They were on time and efficient with the whole house cleaning. For my single furnace home it took about 1 1/2 hours. The before and after pictures that they send you are eye opening. There was just all types of junk in my air ducts. The home was built in 1973 and apparently never had a cleaning. The dryer cleaning is a must! There was so much lint that could have started a fire. Thank you for cleaning my home and making it safer! read more

I found a special on Nextdoor for duct cleaning and called to take advantage of it. The technician got here right on time, put on shoe coverings, work gloves and a mask. It took about 2 hours, he left everything neat and clean. My dryer was put back after that vent was cleaned. I was very happy with the service and got before and after pictures about 4 days later. I had previously posted a 1-star review for DenverDucts Corp, based on issues with their customer service and the furnace cleaning service we purchased, but I am back to revise my review. After posting my review, I got an immediate response by email and by phone from their General Manager Tim, who helped address my concerns. I had not gotten pictures of the before/after of the vents for many weeks, even after contacting them to request them a second time. Tim stated it was an issue of the wrong email address, and he had resent the photos to me even before I received his call. My other issue was with the Furnace Cleaning/Duct Sanitation service I had purchased on special for $150. I had assumed a furnace cleaning would be a true cleaning of all the components like flame sensor, ignition, blower, exposed parts inside the cabinet, etc. That was not the case - the furnace cleaning service provided is only vaccuuming the blower and checking the furnace filter. Nothing else in my furnace was cleaned. The GM informed me that they have a separate, more involved service for cleaning the furnace like I had anticipated, but it is more expensive based on those added services. Nowhere on the site was the furnace cleaning I ordered described, so I guess this is partially my fault for not asking more questions. I've since hired another company to do a true full service cleaning and inspection. Just be mindful that if you are looking for furnace cleaning from this company, be sure to ask what is included in the service. read more

As the owner of a plumbing service company I knew what I was looking for in a duct cleaning company: honest pricing, respect for my home, thorough cleaning, and professionalism. I received honest pricing: $350.00 for all duct cleaning, and a sanitizing treatment. I had to remove and replace all the ceiling vent covers myself to prevent a surcharge for each vent cover. Furnace burner cleaning was not included. The technician did not display professionalism or much concern for my home. He came in and out of my home in his dirty tennis shoes multiple times, left his dirty coat on my carpet, and then laid filthy furnace filters on my living room carpet to show me how dirty they were. His appearance and demeanor were sloppy, but he was polite and was able to answer my questions. The hose used had less suction than my own vacuum, (I asked to feel the suction) but the technician stuck a brush down the vents and that apparently dislodged stuck-on dust. The before and after pictures showed that the vents were cleaner afterward. The exterior of my air intake vent covers were still dirty when the job was done. I asked about that and was told it wasn't included: disappointing, but fair enough. I doubt I'll use this company again, but I believe my vents are cleaner and I received what I was told I would. While nothing about this experience was impressive, and I had to clean up after the technician, it met my minimum expectations. read more

I will be painfully honest....At first I was hesitant to use Denver Ducts. I spoke to several local companies in Northern Colorado; some claimed to be "certified", some claimed to have the most expensive and newest equipment, some cautioned me from using any company that gives me a blanket estimate of $XYZ to do my whole home. After interviewing those companies by phone and hearing them out, I thought it only fair to also speak to the style of company that they were cautioning me against, which appeared to me to be..... Denver Ducts. To make the story short, I am a property manager with lots of experience needing, interviewing and then hiring service companies. After asking lots and lots of questions, I decided to try Denver Ducts at one property. I figured if I see how they work, I will know if they are worth the money they are asking vs. 2 and 3 and 4 times the money that their competitors were asking. They ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY. I have now used them 3 times. They are thorough. Whatever time they figure to do your home, if they need to take more time to get the job done right, they take the time and do it without asking questions. I feel that the price charged was worth every cent considering the time it took, the amount of labor involved and the "dirty" "yucky" nature of the task. I will use them again! read more

I've never had a finer experience with a company than I had recently with Denver Ducts. After getting what seemed like an excessive quote from a company in Boulder a few months before, I caught Denver Duct's offer on a ValPac coupon for about half the amount. When I phoned, I got a live person, not a bot or an answering machine. She assured me that Niwot was still in their service area and got me on the schedule a few days later. The day before the cleaning, they texted to confirm the time window and the day of cleaning they texted me again about a half hour before to let me know their tech was on his way. Luis arrived with pretty sophisticated cleaning equipment mounted in his van that included brushing, washing and vacuuming machinery that the connected by hose to the implements used inside the house. Portable guards kept the hoses from scraping against any walls or furniture. He sealed all the heat vents with plastic before starting the cleaning and was at the house for over three hours. Cleaning included clothes dryer vents where Luis discovered a broken connection during cleaning and promptly fixed it with no additional charge. A couple days later I received email with over 50 pictures in jpeg format of the vent interiors and the process to show before and after results. Absolutely the BEST. Your technician was pleasant and knowledgeable being careful to use his foot protection in the house. However, when he did the dryer vent cleaning outside, he left a horrible mess all over the landscaping rocks where the dryer vent exhausts. He made attempts to blow it off of the window well cover, but blowing more out onto the rocks. How do you clean a 6 foot avalanche of lint after it's been rained on? Not without a lot of time and trouble for sure. He should have put a tarp down. Now we have been left with a terrible mess. . read more

Although there were a few issues, I was so impressed with the owner and his willingness to correct the issues. He was super responsive and even came to my home to re-light a pilot light at 7:00 at night so I could have hot water! Our ducts are clean, all vents were replaced correctly and the pictures were proof that the previous owner never cleaned the vents in the 5+ years he'd lived here. In addition, our furnace and water heater are very old, yet the owner had decent knowledge regarding both. So, despite the scheduling snafu for the first scheduled visit, and the loss of my lit pilot lights both times, the willingness to correct these issues made me a happy and return customer. Called to get an estimate as their advertising says $249 any size house, when I called they asked me if I have 2 thermostats and when I said yes she said that would be another $100. I asked her to explain why but she really could not so, fine I agreed to $349. Then she said we would have to take off all the vent covers which my husband spent over an hour doing so. A guy came to clean the HVAC the next week and told us it would be $499, because we have 2 furnaces. Umm, no you quoted $349. I spoke with the manager who said she would now do it for $449. No, typical bait and switch!! Then the guy asked to see our furnaces which he could clean for us. Mind you my house is 2 years old. He shows us a picture of a filthy furnace and told us he could clean our furnace for a discounted price. I told him, no thank you. We had another company come back 2 weeks later to look at the furnace and the guy took 10 minutes to clean both furnaces which he said were totally fine and clean... which leads me to believe this guy had someone else's pictures on his phone. I am not sure why Denver Ducts has such a high rating. I paid a lot (although not the top price of $600) and got very little. I think they spent more time taking pictures than cleaning. 27 befores and 2 afters is my guess since those were the what looked dirty and nots so dirty, respectively While they did open vents and do some cleaning and they sprayed something to disinfect since I could smell it two days later. What I paid for was duct and furnace cleaning. The furnace was not cleaned and even with a new filter right next to the furnace they didnt even change the filter. The furnace was very dusty outside and in, we had to clean ourselves. All the wall vent covers were still dirty on the outside. I think the only covers they touched were the floor covers that just lift off. I would not recommend this service. read more
