Dorothy offered to schedule a tech that afternoon and then started running through the most common causes. With her on the line I found a blown fuse on the units motherboard and was able to replace it (props to Home Depot for having them in stock). Bottom line, she was polite, responsive AND helped me solve the issue over the phone at no cost. I will definitely call Davey Heating and Air for all my HVAC needs in the future.

Within ~10 minutes, got a call from this company who asked some basic questions and troubleshooted some things over the phone, without even talking amount payment or price. When that didn't work after an hour, I messaged back and they got me on the schedule for the next day (it was already 5pm by this time. They came promptly during the window and gave me heads up, figured out the issue in less than 15 minutes, and gave me a range of options and prices. He actually taught me several things about the AC and showed me how to do some repairs myself and where to get parts, and lo and behold it worked like a charm! Couldn't be happier with the quality, speed, and friendliness of the service. Got my AC pumping ice cold air in time to get the house cool for my kids' naps. Davey will absolutely be my go-to from now on and I would recommend them to anyone and everything.

Don't trust him. Colorado Natural Gas returned the following day after his service and gave me a second shut off notice on my wall heater because of improper technician work. The CNG tech also mentioned this individual has terrible reputation around the area and was able to call out his van type. Service Call Experience: I have a small wall unit furnace. Was tagged by CNG for leak after they installed new meter. Required me to call a service tech to fix. First service call, he created a noticeable smell gas leak in appliance that was not there prior. After I called him a second time and he returned to fix the leak, I had to call another tech the following day, to come fix his work. There was still a smell of a gas leak the following day. -I was charged $210/hr, the "premium rate" +$78 fee to make the trip (standard fee), for simple repairs. Supposedly he lives a mile from me. -The first time the service call was performed earlier in the day. The main issues were not fixed. -Issues being a small leak from the appliance and an ignition switch. Report from natural gas company given at beginning of service. I was charged for --a new thermo coupler (recently was replaced by us, was not needed to be replaced nor highlighted on report by natural gas company) --measured gas outlet pressure --and a dismantled ignition switch, a new one was not installed during service. --a broken thermostat, that worked before his service. $18.88 was the total of thermo coupler $315 labor $78 (drive out fee) --------------------- Total was $411 -I provided soap and water to test the gas lines for leaks. He did not have gas reading gauge/meter required to take gas measurements. -Did not provide an invoice on work completion, instead a hand written note. -I cannot now turn my thermostat past the setting of 2 now, when prior I was able to. -When I asked about over charging for the service, and pressed him on the terrible work, he did not want to discuss refund options or discount, and claimed to be "orthodox" with his work habits. Despite charging 2 hours of labor for list of fixes above. It did not take him 2 hrs. -The following day, another gas odor was smelled. I called Colorado Natural Gas, they flagged my wall furnace for the same issues I called for to begin. The CNG tech said that my unit was not fixed and actually made worse. -The job should not have been charged for more than an hour. *If the work was "premium rate" work, it should have been done right the first service call. This is not premium rate work. This is crackhead work.

We had been told by another company that the evaporation coil above the furnace was so rusty that it was leaking refrigerant into it, and that it needed replacement of the capacitor and condenser fan motor. At a whopping cost of over $2,000, it was highly suspicious. They also were pushing an upgrade for an additional $700+. We needed a second opinion, and a technician from Blue Horse was available sooner than we expected. The technician stated that all of the evaporation coils that he looks at are rusted due to metal coming in contact with moisture as part of what an evaporation coil does. He then inspected the outdoor unit, hosed it off, and said our A/C was safe to turn on. The best part of the appointment: No charge!

I researched the various companies on Yelp, and Blue Horse stood out above and beyond all the others with a 5-star rating where most of the rest had two, if that - and now I understand why. The price for the top-quality Daikin outside unit and the new inside evaporator coil including the installation was considerably lower than I expected, and seeing as the technician was here all day, I consider it an even better deal. Changing out one of those units is a LOT of work! Julian was absolutely professional in EVERY way and took the time to patiently answer all of my questions. All of the work he did was top-notch and a great bargain. I HIGHLY recommend Blue Horse, Disclaimer: I am NOT an employee of Blue Horse, nor am I associated with the company in any way - I'm just a huge fan after dealing with them. I would never consider calling anyone else.

Without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had with a company / never in my life have I been…read moretreated with such disrespect by professionals I've paid for a service. From the jump there were red flags; in retrospect I should have realized and not chosen them, but alas. Hopefully this review can save others the money and headache! Our HVAC system was antiquated and needed replacing, so I reached out to Quality Home. I was given a quote $3,000 over my budget. When I said as much they immediately said they could meet me at my price point which makes me wonder... Why the high quote to begin with? Where would that extra $3k have gone? The day of the install went okay. They took a few hours longer than they said they would which disrupted my workday, but fine - I can understand that. I was never sent photos of the condenser on the roof which I was promised - I had to ask a few times to get those. Our new HVAC worked well for a few weeks, then started randomly shutting off. During peak heat times. I'd come home from work to a boiling house. Our thermostat kept saying it was running too long with no change in temperature. I brought this up to my contact at the company - a director level guy - and he told me my thermostat was "trash" and it needed to be replaced. Me, knowing nothing about this stuff, went along and agreed to pay the $400+ for a new thermostat. It turns out that the actual issue was that the folx doing the installation wired the entire thing incorrectly. I was still charged full price for the thermostat/install and offered no apology. My old thermostat was better and easier to use. Fast forward a few months and I noticed our HVAC was leaking water. I called them in a panic as we were going out of town, it was the heat of summer, and I didn't want our cat to overheat. They were able to come out quickly (for a high fee) and told me the leaking was due to us not changing our filter frequently enough. I was again charged $400+ for this. It seemed weird to me that a dirty filter would cause leaking, but again... not my area of expertise. I took their advice and started changing our filter at the cadence recommended. Guess what? Still leaking. A LOT. This is definitely an HVAC issue, not a filter issue as our filters are pretty pristine. I've been trying to get in touch with my same contact (and others) for literal weeks and am being met with total silence. I want to talk to someone about this but it appears that professionalism isn't a value of Quality Home HVAC. Moral of the story? Absolutely go with a different company - I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

Every number leads to the same crappy automated central line, and everyone I speak to has told me "they can't get ahold of someone."
