We went to Denver Mattress in Charlotte this past Wednesday to purchase a new mattress for my parents. My Dad isn't very mobile these days so my wife and I were happy to help out. After looking at the Purple mattresses we picked out one, with the assurance from the sales rep Tariq, several times, that if it didn't work out for them we had 30 days to swap it out. Even though Purple online gives you 100 days we decided to buy local. After the first night they decided it was too soft. The next day we called our sales rep to get it changed to something more firm and was happy to pay any price difference. He said he has to run it by his manager. Called back later and he said that he spoke to the assistant manager but needed the manger's opinion on next steps and would call me the next day around 9 something to update us. After not calling us when he said he would, I called at noon to check the status. At that time he said he spoke to his manager and they decided they "really need to cut back on returns so we won't be able to do anything for you but I am sorry for any inconvenience". As you can imagine we were upset that the terms we reviewed multiple times, because the mattress wasn't for us, was now being backed out of. I fully admit we were upset but I think anyone would be. Tariq was more concerned with us not letting him finish his sentence about how he's going to use this inconvenience as a "humbling moment" for himself than helping us resolve the outright fraudulent statements. He then lost his temper with us on the phone! Only after we called corporate and started taking it up the ladder did they come around. Not by calling me but when I called to ask for the regional managers contact information the assistant manager, James, got on the phone and was willing to resolve this situation the way it should have been without the fraud and drama!! We are still waiting on the more firm Purple mattresses to arrive on a truck from Denver so this nightmare isn't completely over with but hopefully will be soon. Oh and I'm also paying $99 for them to pick up and deliver the new ones and this was described as free originally....but I think you get the pattern by now. ****Do yourself a favor**** Don't buy it here. If you want a Purple mattress buy it online. I like to support brick and mortar stores every chance I can but you should fight that urge! This is why retail stores are going to continue to close their doors!! read more

I entered the store I was impressed. Gabe greeted me w/ a warm welcome. I told him what I felt I needed p doing much research online. He showed me some mattresses and I was able to take my time and try them. No pushing, no rushing, no sales pitch. Gabe was very knowledgeable in his field. I chose a mattress that I felt may work. The paperwork was easy and financing was available w/ various plans, which was great. The delivery guys were wonderful and efficient. There was a little hiccup in that the legs were not in the package for the frame. With some calls this was quickly resolved. I now have a new Doctor's Choice mattress w/ an adjustable frame ( which was much needed d/t to arthritis).I also received a cooling mattress protector, cooling pillows, pillow case protectors and a queen set of sheets and pillow cases. I have not and could not have had a better experience. Thank you so much Gabe, James, Steve and the delivery men. This company is exceptional. read more

I went to Denver Mattress Co. in Charlotte last week, and had a FANTASTIC experience. I worked with a kind and fun lady named Lori. I had no intention on purchasing that day.. I had just moved to Charlotte from Colorado, and I was going to try out a few different places before purchasing.. I run a large retail store, so I am very picky when it comes to customer service, but Lori was amazing.. the reason I decided to purchase that day was because she wasn't trying to make a sale, she was attentive to my needs, and what I was looking for.. She even went back and talked to the delivery team, to see if they could squeeze me in, seeing as how I just moved, and my stuff hadn't been delivered yet. I am a fan of Furniture Row Racing, so I had to go browse the selections when it came time to replace my 15 year old sleep number full bed with a KING. I did not end up making a purchase, although they did have good prices and a great Black Friday sale. It's just really hard to get comfortable on a bed in such a large building with multiple noises around you - plus it felt like the salesperson kept eyeing me. It was interesting to receive a "Thank You for visiting" note in the mail, even without spending a dime. What other stores would do that? read more

My second resident in Charlotte, NC: This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered on all levels. The customer service, no communication and NO follow-up from supposedly a management team at both the Front Row and Denver Mattress from the time I ordered my bedroom and mattress to the time it was delivered and recognizing that the bed ordered lack some pieces to NO mattress pulled from the warehouse to accompany the bed was absolutely horrible. No follow through, nor any respect for the customer. The bed was delivered on Wednesday, June 26, with no Mattress (From Denver Mattress). The order was no pulled correctly. Likewise, while assembling the bed the delivery guy noticed that that items needed to assembly the bed were incomplete and call the store, Front Row , to let them know and no one called to apologize and have to call as of today, Friday, June 28, to confirm a replacement for the missing pieces. Denver Mattress was an absolutely a "NO STAR", the assistant Manager, Marcus, was totally rambling, lack professionalism and obviously had no sense of customer training and follow through. The delivery guy called him immediately to inform Marcus that my mattress was not pulled from the warehouse and he (Marcus) indicated that he would call me, he never called so an hour later while the delivery guys were still at my place I called him and proceeded to tell me he had been on vacation, etc, just rambling offering no solution to the customer, completely irresponsible and lack any knowledge of how to respond to a crisis situation and became to familiar with his language with speaking to me a customer. Till this day no one from the management team at Front Row Furniture or Denver Mattress including management has called to follow-up and apologize nor offer any resolution. The delivery guy from Front Row went out of his way to do whatever he could although he nothing to do with the initial order, pulling the order and or providing a solution for the bed or mattress. However, he did without authorization get back in his truck after assembling the bed as is and went to the warehouse and took it upon himself to pull a mattress. Although my the missing parts for the bed still remain unassembled. Again, the manager, Ryan at Front Row as yet to return my call about my bed to provide any replacement date, etc and Marcus at Denver Mattress did not even follow up with me to ensure that received the mattress although he had absolutely nothing to do with providing a solution or other options to resolve the initial mattress delivery that include "no" mattress on my initial delivery. As an executive that deals with brands, I would not recommend this company b/c the customer service, communications and ability to handle and resolve serious issues is bar none very very low. So I went to Denver Mattress with my sister who was making the purchase. We shopped around but kept coming back to this store because of a particular employee, Dequalan. Now I don't understand the mattress business. For one I'm in awe of how many different stores they are. And they always seem to be empty. Anyway, Dequalan was a pro. He listened to her concerns and was quick to troubleshoot any questions she had. He didn't try to up sell as I've heard many of them do based on reviews read. He was genuinely interested and knowledgeable. He anticipated her needs and took his time although this was a busy weekend. If you are looking for a mattress anytime soon, check this guy out! We had a wonderful experience last week with Lori and were able to pick out a mattress without pressure that seemed to be most suited to us. She listened carefully and advised well. She is very experienced, very pleasant, and very efficient. This is Lori's last day at this location and we will be very sorry to see her go. Even if we have no need of another mattress ourselves we would have loved to recommend her to friends. From reading other reviews at least there are others at Denver Mattress of the same quality. Luckily I don't give up easily on things. Summer is coming so I decided to try once more to get my cooling pad. I wrote to corporate and recieved call backs within hours. Keith from the store was very helpful in getting my items, and also included a new set of sheets for inconvenience. The staff was very friendly. We told the salesman what we were looking for and he found the correct mattress for us on the first try. We mentioned that we couldn't have it delivered until August 7 due to us closing on our house and was told that wouldn't be an issue. We purchased the mattress and pillows. A day later we received an email that the mattress had shipped and had an expected delivery of August 3. The mattress was coming FedEx. I contacted FedEx to see if we could change the address to my mom's address since we were in between homes. We were told that Denver Mattress Company would have to contact them as they were the shipper. I contacted our salesman and he said that he would take care of it. A week went by and we hadn't heard anything. I contacted a manager at the store and explained the situation and she said that she would send an email to Denver and get back to me. She got back to me the following day (August 2nd.) she said that she hadn't heard anything from the shipping team and would send another email. On August 3rd I went to my mom's house and waited all day. The mattress didn't leave the FedEx location near me. I called the store and got the same salesman who sold me the mattress. After being on hold for 20 minutes I was told that they couldn't do anything until the mattress was delivered. The address that they gave FedEx does not exist and if FedEx found the correct address, we are not living at that address yet. I asked to have the order canceled as no one could give me a solution that seemed to work for anyone. They did not even suggest that they would contact FedEx and ask if I could pick it up from the distribution center. They were quick to cancel without hesitation. Now we have to wait to get a mattress from somewhere else. Terrible customer service after they had my money. I will be responding on their website for how they are doing as I have not done that yet. read more

Bought a mattress here last weekend. It was delivered 2 days ago. Had a problem that they didn't bring our frame at delivery but management quickly fixed the issue the very next day. Our pillows and mattress protectors were brought to our home by our salesman because the shipment came in after the delivery truck was already in route. My husband and I went there to price shop for a particular mattress but we weren't ready to purchase, thinking that it would be too expensive for us at that moment. Carole took the time to explain the difference in the many products and advised us as to which items would best fit our needs. She was able to find us an amazing deal which saved us over $1,000.
