When he found out I had a10-12 yo Whirlpool, his voice became enthusiastic and told me he would move his appointments around so that he could come visit that same afternoon. Gary said he likes working on older appliances as they are easier to work on and parts are still available. Through the process of elimination and based on his extensive experience, he believed a temperature sensor had failed but could not be 100% sure until the refridgerator went through a 24 hour cycle. Thankfully, Gary had the OEM part in stock and, sure enough, after 24 hours my tenants confirmed with Gary that everything was working fine. When it came time to pay, Gary offered Venmo or Zelle, which made it very convenient for me. Gary was great. The dishwasher wasn't draining. Gary responded and scheduled the service quickly. Answered questions about quote and walked me through different scenarios. He was quite methodical in his approach towards finding the problem. after he found the first small clog, and the dishwasher started draining again, he didn't stop there. He kept going and found two other small blockages in the drain pipe. also gave a ton of advice on other appliances in the kitchen while he was doing the job on the dishwasher. I called looking to make an appointment about my GE Profile refrigerator that stopped cooling one year and one week after purchasing. Like me, Gary was incensed, and suggested I lean on G.E. and Home Depot to honor my warranty. My washer breaks down mid cycle, full of water. I frantically call around but it's the weekend and everyone is either booked or closed. I resigned to taking my clothes to the local laundry mat, and ponder how much blood I will have to donate to pay for new washer and dryers. While there, I decided to turn to yelp and get a bunch of quotes. I gave them a description of what's going on, and provided the error code f15. All but one, wanted to come out first to assess the problem, and charge $70, regardless if I go with them. Gary replied that he was booked and couldn't come but said "F15 usually means the motor control unit has failed". I was lucky to find the part at a reasonable price that day and fixed it myself. Gary (I assume it's Gary based on other reviews, I didn't actually catch his name) didn't actually come out - he just got the make, model and age of the fridge, then proceeded to tell me exactly what the problem is and said it's a waste of my money to pay him to come out. He told me who I should call to see if it's under warranty, and if it's not under warranty he said it wouldn't be worth it to fix, and I should just get a new fridge.
