On December 8th 2025, the rubber seal on the bottom panel caught itself in the side rail and tore completely off the door. I called for service. On December 10th the technician arrived and suggested that the failure was user error, that I had "allowed" the seal to become frozen to the ground. First, I've never heard of such a thing. Second, this is Michigan... Now, after several weeks, and several attempts to reach Jason. He texted me and said that "the manufacturer had rejected my claim"??? But, not to worry, because the garage door guy, would sell me an "aftermarket" repair for just $300.

I had one spring bad and they replaced both and took my good spring with them which makes me wonder if I didn't get someone's used spring. I thought they were expensive also but I needed it done so I was stuck. I knew it was a spring because we had them replaced before and you could see it but they wouldn't give you an estimate until they got there. I'm not a fan of being at someone's mercy.

However, when there was a…read moreproblem with the door after installation the tech did not show up during the promised service appointment window on Thursday, but called and told me that he would call "first thing Monday morning". After no call Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday I contacted the company and left a message expressing my unhappiness. I returned home at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday to message offering to fix the problem between 5-7 Wednesday (when I wasn't home) I called and left another message stating that given the situation I was not happy about a 2 hour service window and if need be I would have the problem fixed by another provider. At 7:25 p.m. I received a belligerent call from the service tech asking if I was home because he would come over and fix it right then. I told him that I did not want someone working on my garage at 7:30 at night and that frankly I was disappointed that the original tech hadn't been true to his word, to which he sarcastically replied, "yeah, no one makes mistakes." Representatives from this company have been unreliable, rude, and belligerent. I had the work done through Lowes of Southgate and I would recommend asking Lowes which company will be installing your door before purchasing. Clearly this is not someone I will ever hire again and strongly encourage others not to do so.
