My renters had called another company and they claimed we needed a complete new upstairs AC system for over $ 10,000. I called the AC Guy, they came out the same day and found a defective switch. System was back up and running the same day for less than 300.... They are the most honest, trustworthy and absolutely awesome team you will ever meet!! Plus.... as a landlord, they will go to my properties and bill us or pay over the phone, don't even need to be on site!!! Keep up the excellent work!!!

They did more than that. Cynthia was absolutely lovely to deal with on the phone, the same day Scot was over to diagnose the problem, and they were able to schedule to come back and complete the repair in a day or two. Pricing was competitive, but what I value most is customer service.

There was no air circulation up towards the ceiling. This caused mold growth overtime. I reached out to Gossett Air and they instantly identified the problem and a solution. They installed a return and another vent at the ceiling to help with air circulation. Along with an additional vent added in another room, they were done in one day. Very professional team and the price was definitely reasonable. Would hire them for future HVAC needs.

When I went into the attic to correct a poorly installed booster fan (details below), I also discovered dangerous wiring in violation of electrical codes. See those wire connections near the duct? By code, those are supposed to be inside a junction box that is secured to house framing. But the way this was done is a FIRE and ELECTROCUTION hazard, should someone bump up against it or disturb the connection. That is what prompted me to write this review. Earlier problems: The way this all started was the house I purchased had poor air circulation to one corner of the house, as identified during the home inspection. Prior to closing, the owner had Affordable American (AA) install a booster fan. Unfortunately, they installed it in the wrong location. Instead of installing it upstream of a Y-junction, they installed it in one of the branch circuits of the Y. The problem with that is instead of boosting the air coming from the evaporator fan, it sucks air out of the other side of the Y branch. In effect, creating an endless loop of air that never gets cooled (or heated). When I notified AA of their mistake, they inspected it and quoted their full price for such work, saying it was over a year and why did I wait so long. I don't know why that should matter since it was still a faulty installation on their part. After much haggling, they finally agreed to do it for half the original quote. I then tried to schedule the work, but after many phone calls over a period of weeks, I could never get them to come out. It is clear to me that they had no intention of standing behind their work. In the end, I'm glad they didn't because I never would have seen the shoddy workmanship of the wiring mentioned earlier. I'm glad others seem to have had good experiences with Affordable American, but based on my experience, I would at least have someone knowledgeable check their work for code violations and safety issues. And don't pay them without an independent inspection as they do not stand behind their work.

The installers did a great job and the conversations we had with the office were very pleasant as well. HW came, did something to their AC and said they needed a new condenser fan motor. $700.00. As soon as he left, their AC stopped working. Worked fine all year... the exact moment he left it no longer functioned. The odds are astronomical that the system suddenly broke the moment he left. HW maintains it was a coincidence and the motor was already failing. 100+ degrees and elderly people. $700. We called a relative who got the same part for $165 and put it in. We asked for a written inspection report and HW said "we don't do that". You decide for yourself if you want these guys in your home.

But Hal Watson managed to fit me in on Saturday (Nick to the rescue) got me running in no time. And Thomas came on Monday to triple check the system and get this - on his way out he even brought in my Amazon packages. These guys are beyond fantastic!!! I trust them 100% and really appreciate that they don't upsell me. 2020 Review: I have been using how Watson air conditioning since 2006. They have been very fair and reliable. They do quality work. They installed a trane for me at my last house, and at this house there is a 20 year old trane that they are keeping going for me. I highly recommend them.

They called the day of and canceled with some odd excuse. The second time just a few days ago. We called and they would be there in two days but put us on an urgent list if they could get there earlier. It was urgent so we needed a repair. They then call us at 4:50pm and tell us they wouldn't be able to get there now for 6 days! WTH. There is a pattern here that we don't need but others should know.
