    Tomato with sticker
    Jen K.

Food is edible. However, ratings are inflated and we were deeply disappointed. Bread rolls were hard for a Sunday afternoon and deli meat was basic. What sent me over the edge was I ordered a sandwich for my daughter and a slice of tomato fell out with the sticker on the skin! Disgusting.

I stopped here on my way back from Bash Bish falls yesterday. The seating and artistic walls on the outside caught my eye. I parked across the street and walked over the crosswalk. It's not huge inside but it's packed to the gills with everything you might need for camping and I mean EVERYTHING!! Bug spray, blow up mattress, sleeping bags, a zillion different kinds of popcorn, craft beer selection is amazing and tons of old time cream sodas in the bottle. Freezer section with ice cream, pizza, wings etc. They have a small menu of deli items too. I got "The Ticket". She asked "bun, wrap or roll?" I choose the roll. It was deli turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomato, cheese and bacon. It was pretty good although I'm always a little bit disappointed when it's not real turkey. I saw that someone else wrote that they had free wifi. I tried to connect when I was there there as my phone had zero service in the area but you must need to ask them for a password as I couldn't automatically connect. All in all it's a great little camping store and right next to an amazing rail trail!

Stopped in while my boyfriend and I were camping across the street last week. They had already sold out of the cinnamon bread that I read so many great reviews about so we were a little bummed but were informed that more was being made and would be ready a little later in the day. The staff was super helpful and friendly that we had no problem coming back later. That bread was absolutely worth the wait. If you are fortunate enough like us to get it right out of the oven it's truly amazing. The last few piece were however quite tasty reheated the next morning over our campfire for breakfast as well. The store itself is like a little grocery store with everything you could possibly need for camping adventures. And with friendly people working it I would absolute recommend this place to anyone. :)

My boyfriend and I visited Hudson for the weekend and made a trip to Bish Bash falls, 30 minutes outside of Hudson. On our way back to we stopped in to Depot Deli for a cold beer and snack. The owner greeted us upon entry and was super friendly helping us pick out The best Coastal Maine popcorn flavor. The deli is equipped with a nice selection of beer and snacks and the service was excellent. If you are in the area I highly suggest dropping in and sharing a beer and/or snack on the patio. Depot deli is quaint and a quintessential staple of the Hudson valley. Ps. the maple sriracha popcorn is killer!

The amazing cinnamon pull apart bread

Just came back from a great camping weekend with friends at copake falls. Stopped at Depot Deli, which is conveniently right across the street. Great place to pick up snack items and a quick and inexpensive lunch. But the real hidden gem of this place, aside from the wonderfully hospitable employees, is the delicious cinnamon pull apart bread. It was sitting in a case with a note in front of it "this is what God eats for breakfast." Naturally this peaked my interest. So I purchased a whole loaf ($5) to see if this stuff is as good as advertised. I was not disappointed. This bread is incredibly soft, moist and delicious. I could've easily had several loaves in one sitting. Shared it with my friends and we were all raving about it. Amazing. I highly recommend this quaint and friendly place as a stop on any trip to the area.

The…read morereason why I wanted to stop is that I read that SoCo was voted either #1 or #2 Ice Cream vendor in the Country. So, of course, we had to check it out. Also, I have not ventured a ton in western Mass (Berkshires) so this was a great chance. As we first noticed, there was a bunch of activity around SoCo. Lots of customers and a very busy street. SoCo is a neat stop with the focus on Ice Cream. When we walked in, there was a full line of customers waiting for their cone/cup of ice cream. The line moved quickly and there was plenty of staff willing to help. One thing that I was surprised at was that there was not a ton of flavors to choose from. Maybe 20 total.....which, to me, seemed like a small amount. I did not take that as a negative just surprised because I have been to a few that have over 30-40 flavors to choose from. I had chocolate chip and my wife had peanut butter fudge chocolate. We both raved about the flavor and taste! We both had smalls and just the right amount of ice cream. Price: reasonable ($5 each) Service: Excellent Vibe: laid back and family friendly Parking: plenty of parking Soft Serve; No (I did not see any) Hard Ice Cream: Yes Would I return: Of course...if In the area again

It was about ten minutes before they were going to close and we had hoped they wouldn't mind taking us. We could tell they were cleaning, but the girl near the entrance said they would take us. My son felt bad so he didn't get anything and I ordered one scoop mint chocolate chip with some toppings. The girl at the register wasn't very friendly. As I was ordering a group came in and you could tell she was annoyed. I paid for my ice cream and waited and waited some more. The group who came in after me was getting their ice cream before me. When I finally got my ice cream I was trying to take a quick picture of it and the same girl from the register told us they were closed and we needed to go outside. We went outside to sit down and I could tell with the first bite that my ice cream flavor was wrong. I would have gone inside but they already had locked the door and by then I was already annoyed.

I am absolutely spoiled now. I am so glad I came to High Lawn Farms to try their ice cream and…read moredairy products. At the same time I am so sorry I tried their ice cream and dairy products. Because now, I realize how lacking all other dairy products are. Seriously. We purchased milk from High Lawn during our stay at a local long-term let with a full kitchen. We brought home milk and ice cream. When that ran out and we returned to our regular 'store bought' milk, I was like 'what am I drinking?' You don't know how good High Lawn Farms milk is, until you don't have it any more. If I lived near here, this is the only place I would get my dairy. Now, the ice cream! So, so, so good! It's not overly sweet. The flavor is just right. Again, not over done. It's 'light'. I don't know how to explain it. I got two scoops and when I saw how much ice cream that was I thought I'd 'never be able to eat all that.' But the ice cream texture is light, not heavy. It's still creamy, but not in the same way as my local farm made ice cream is made. It's light and those two scoops were just the right amount. The store offers more than milk and ice cream by the pint. They also sell a selection of High Lawn farm cheeses and frozen cuts of beef among other things. Besides the store and the ice cream trailer, you can visit the cows and calves in the barn. There are also older calves in the field by the ice cream trailer that you can pet. They come right up to the fence looking for pets. Anyway, you can see I am a fan of High Lawn Farm. Go. Don't think about it. Go. Get the ice cream. Get the milk. Compare it to your 'regular' dairy. You'll understand.
