I believed it was at 9:30 a.m., but it was actually scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Rather than simply helping me reschedule, I was told I would have to pay a $50 missed appointment fee. I understand that offices have policies, but I was hoping for a little grace given the circumstances and the fact that I have been a patient for a few years. That $50 cost them a returning customer. I won't be coming back. It's unfortunate when it feels like policy and revenue are valued more than long-term patient relationships and compassion. (I hope that steak dinner was worth it... who am I kidding it's 2026, hope the McDonald's happy meal was worth it.)

The first time went well, but the second time they had a new machine for micro-needling (Collagen P.I.N) and I ended up having a red/brown area ALL OVER my face. They said it's hyperpigmentation and it takes time to be healed, without offering any money back or free treatment. They didn't accept that it was their new machine that causing the problem, or the materials they used to make my face numb. Now after over 7 months, I can still see the brown spots on my face. I should say though, Jackie did the microneedling both times and she was very professional and super nice. She was very patient with answering my questions and following up with me.

I decided to pop into their Skin Renewal Center to see what they offered. I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who "helped" me. She saw me walk in, turned her back and when I was waiting at the counter she turned again and asked if someone was helping me. I laughed (thought she was joking) and said no. She asked with rolling her eyes, what i needed. I replied with "what do you offer here?" It was like pulling teeth. She made it abundantly clear I wasn't welcomed. She was condescending and mean. He had a steady hand and never left me with a bad scar! Since hes left, my experience with the office has changed. It is now under a bigger umbrella and the friendly atmosphere is gone. Dr. Hirschman is the new doctor, but he is only on-site Mondays. Getting an apppointment with him is overly complicated and frustrating on the patient side. I had to get a cyst removed (similar to what Dr. S did for me in the past). But I was forced to see a PA instead of the doctor.... kinda frustrating and felt like a money grab because the PAs did not do anything for me and I hadto pay for multiple visits that could have just been one. Aditionally I was left with a HORRIBLE scar. I am not very happy with the results. I am on thehunt for a new dermatologist now :-(

With the extremely strict deadlines for Ipledge, everything has to get entered in on time and it was not, as everything was done correctly on my end. I was told I would have to redo all of the bloodwork and pregnancy tests and wait another month because they did not enter it in when it needed to be, after I had been waiting for years to get my acne under control and finally thought I was getting somewhere. Was in his office for 4 minutes and the charge was $215 which would be like $3,225 an hour and insurance only covered $79. Waited at front desk for 5 minutes as it was unattended when I arrived. Shop around.
